Huge room and two balconies. The staff were excellent and food was exteremly delicious. The staff took extra care of our needs in every possible way especially as I was travelling with my elderly mother.
Lift doesnt stop at every floor so for older people like my mother stairs are an issue.

beautifully located property, nestled on the valley face getting a great view of Kanchenjunga. Subham and all the other staff are extremely helpful and made our stay a memorable one. The bonfire , the bar B qs and the food at the restaurant are finger licking good. we will surely be back for a longer stay.

Very good hotel with hospitable staff. The rooms we stayed in were very big, well decorated and clean. The view was spectacular and we could see the Kanchenjunga along with the mountain range. The location was beautiful with a waterfall and pine trees all around. The staff who deserve a special mention for outstanding hospitality are: Shubham, Deepraj and Sonam.
Overall we had an excellent stay in Nirvana Retreat and look forward to visiting it again. I recommend this hotel to travellers.
1) ROOM: The room we were initially given in the basement was very tight, small and had a strong, damp smell.
2) FOOD: The complimentary breakfast was very basic and had very few items. As for the dishes we had ordered: the food taste and quantity were quite disappointing.
This was not expected of a hotel with this price band. However, it is appreciated that the professional staff did address both these issues during our stay and made amends.

Brilliant from an overall perspective. The staff is exceptionally hardworking and extremely professional, mild mannered and forthcoming.
The food choices are also good. The property is essentially the x-factor.
All in all, a hidden gem in Kurseong and probably the best of the lot back there.
Think before you pay for additional services such as cabs and alcohol. Rest you understand

Location
Food could have been better
Rooms which are located outside have no way to get back to the main building other than the garden. In times of rain or other inclement weather situations it is inconvenient specially during night

The place and overall resort is very good.
Staffs are very good.
Live Music organized.
Room soze and amenities are enough.
We got hair dryer and iron on request.
Sleepers were there.
The room we provided was just below Kitchen, so we got many sounds of probably table and chair pulling from early morning 7am.
The breakfast buffet option were very milited to 2 or 3 types.

Situated around 4.5 kms above the Kurseong bazar, this retreat on Baghora road is an excellent choice midst of the Pine forest. Clouds floating by gives an experience that only occurs once in a lifetime. Waking up to see clear sky, a perfect view of Kanchenjunga and cup of the best Darjeeling tea.
The food was exceptionally good. The Thupka is must try and along with native Nepali breakfast, The room overall was amazing with comfortable beds and sofas along with balconies, which gives a gorgeous view of the range. The staff was very helpful and my need was always fulfilled within time.
There is a nature walk from the retreat takes around 10 mins to a good viewpoint. But you are surely going to get many leeches on your foot. Overall its a must stay here.
Everything Looked like perfect

Shubham Tamang at the reception (acting manager) was very helpful. My wife was not too thrilled about the room initially available to us. He jumped in right away and upgraded us to a much bigger, nicer suite with two balconies.
The staff is super friendly. The restaurant is really cosy and food was superb. The best part was that they took the order well in advance and asked us what time we would want to eat lunch / dinner and food was served piping hot when we reached the restaurant at the appointed hour.
All the fetching and carrying was done my ladies who comprised the staff and that made me a tad uncomfortable as I am not used to women lugging suitcases from the car to the room.
This next part is important and DOES NOT REFLECT ON THE HOTEL. Do NOT, repeat DO NOT use Google Maps with the hotel as the destination. That will result in you dirving up a wrong and decrepit path. In fact, when we suspected we were being misled by GMaps, we asked a local person and he first asked us whether we were using Google Maps and then went ahead to tell us that the app always misleads people to that road.
The other thing to remember is that roads in Kurseong are very narrow, So do not take a big car up to the property, as you will then land up getting stuck at several places when you meet oncoming traffic.

The best part of the surprise was the attached terrace garden along with the spacious room.
The staff were extremely polite and and the decor of the hotel matched my aesthetics.

The location was fabulous and so was the staff. There was a personalised touch and everyone from Reception, Chefs, Stewards were also very cordial and proactive in their approach. They were taking extra eforts to ensure the stay is peaceful and memorable.
The weather ( 1st week of April) did not quite support us - else everything in the property was great. It was really relaxing trip as needed.

NIRVANA is truly a place " where time stands still". You walk in there and you feel as if you have walked into heaven.... nestled among pine forests, You would wake up to birds singing around and bright sunshine flooding your room. Evenings are wonderful as you have tea in their beautiful tea house and see the sun set across the valley. The food is absolutely amazing... and they have almost every delicacy cooked to perfection. Above all is their hospitality... as they say.. its neither a hotel, nor a homestay... its a dream that everyone travelling to eastern Himalayas should experience at least once in their lifetime. I will definitely be back...
the only thing that i didnt like was to return from that place... i wish i could stay forever.

Expectation towards gardening, lawn not met,may be due to change of season.
