We had a great family time with ten of us at Michael's beach house. The location is perfect, especially for children, with immediate access to calm, warm bay water and a private beach. Michael was outstandingly responsive when questions arose and was generous and understanding. The house itself is not new but is spacious and extremely well equipped, with every imaginable kitchen gadget, beach toys, and toys and books for kids.. The excellent air conditioning was a help on hot, sticky days. The house is like your own private resort!

We stayed here for the past week. Where to begin? The home is in a wooded development that provided a peaceful escape. It is a large house that overlooks the bay...you literally walk down a few stairs and you are at your own private beach. There were kayaks, paddleboard, and numerous floats available. For the boys, there was ping pong, a trampoline, and all types of sports equipment. Michael, the owner, was available to answer any questions but truly, there was nothing we needed...it was all there! We hope to return again...it was the best Hamptons vacation we have had. We have gone every year to a different property out there and we highly recommend this one.

We loved the location and access to Flanders Bay, so nice that they had a paddleboard and kayaks and Floaties for us to use. It is a beautiful location, the sunsets were fantastic. We were 11 adults and very comfortable in the home and grateful for our time together there.

We gathered together to celebrate a milestone birthday with a small group! We absolutely loved the views, the wildlife, and the quiet.
Michael was great with any concerns and even gave us some extra time.
We didn’t do much cooking, but the kitchen had all we needed. Beds were clean, bathrooms loaded with anything we forgot. I hope we come again.

Hosted a Family gathering with 10 adults and 2 children. The home was perfect for our need. The view was also spectacular. The property was a little difficult to find , but well worth the effort..

We stayed at Michael’s house for a week with 7 children and I can’t praise the property enough. Not only did the host think of every detail to make our vacation amazing but the kids had a spectacular time. Michael provides everything you need to have a relaxing and peaceful vacation. We can’t wait to come back. The views of the ocean/ bay are magnificent for morning coffee and an evening sunset.

The listing doesn’t even begin to describe how lovely this spot is. A trampoline and swing set are nestled beneath pretty trees, a “secret door” to a toy room is a delightful find for the kids and the private beach is as peaceful as can be. The house was large enough for our family of seven to spread out in, and the quiet neighborhood felt safe for our kids to roam around the grounds. Michael was a fantastic host, answering every single question in a kind and timely manner. It was a trip my kids will always remember. I feel lucky we were able to stay here.

This property is tucked away in a GPS error zone. So, pack your patience and an Apple device. Once there you'll appreciate both the woods and the bay without taking a step off the property. Big front lawn is great for family outdoor games. Some in the group found the beds a little uncomfortable. That said, we greatly enjoyed the property and the owner was very responsive. Be aware, raccoons regularly raid the garbage bins. Nothing we did deterred them.

If your looking for tranquillity and privacy, this is the place! It feels like you have your own little private beach on the bay. We had the prefect getaway and our dogs had a blast too. Michael was easy to reach and a fabulous host. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and laidback vacation.

The house worked out great for a family reunion for 9 people. The setting on the Bay was beautiful and perfect for paddling the provided kayaks/raft, reading a book at the water's edge using their chairs and umbrellas, playing corn hole and ping pong and lots of gazing out all the windows at the wonderful view. The 4 bathrooms came in handy after a day at the beach and there was ample hanging out room downstairs and upstairs. The front yard became a great place to play Spikeball and Kan Jam that we brought when the beach was too windy. The house was well cared for and was a little quirky (low hanging dining room light over an empty space, hodgepodge of furniture) but worked well for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Central AC was very appreciated! Lots of beach towels and places to sit inside and out. Michael was an outstanding host--welcoming, friendly, answered every question promptly and offered great tips on beaches and local events. The neighborhood was peaceful and friendly and we got a kick out of seeing a turtle in the yard and deer in the area.

We stayed here for July 4th as a family of 10 (all adults) and had a wonderful time. The house is right next to a beach and estuary, and we explored the area via kayak from right outside the home and discovered tons of swans and other water birds. We also enjoyed all the nearby trails for running and hiking, and driving only a few minutes to shops and restaurants in Hampton Bays! Michael was very helpful throughout our stay.

Michel was a great out. The house is lovely - right on the bay and approx. 20 minutes north of the beach (which you can buy $30 day pass). The house was clean and tidy and I would definitely stay again!

With questions we had and location was beautiful!

The owner, Michael was a pleasure to work with. We had some questions regarding the electronics and he was very helpful. He was also very patient with our texts and questions. The house has comfy beds and bedding. The decor is beachy/eclectic and the house was pretty clean. Plenty of towels and kitchen supplies. The outside is really why you rent this home. It’s truly magnificent. They have a hammock, Adirondack chairs, bbq, cornhole, trampoline, just to mention a few.
Enjoy your travels.

We are an extended family of 10 (6 adults with four kids ages 3-8, plus our dog!) looking for a house in a good (private) area that oversees some water view. This house was all of the above and more. First the location... the house is tucked away by the bay and only steps away from a private beach area. Granted it was not Bermuda-like sand but perfect for little kids to play in and adults to stroll or take a morning run on. The water was calm, which was great as the kids splashed away. The idea of not having to pack up the world, get everyone and the kids into a car and drive to a beach, which is a huge endeavor, was super comforting. There is also something really special for city folk like us to wake up to a beautiful sunrise and end the day watching all the colors as the sun set. The house itself was great. It is not a modern posh home as many Hamptons homes are but is well kept and has everything you need. We rent homes all the time and found this house to be one of the best stocked we have seen. Ample linens (and they smell fresh too), paper products, cleaning products, laundry detergent, bug spray, you name it and it’s there. The kitchen is also well stocked with all of the essentials. There is a wide variety of baking equipment and my sister-in-law (baker of the family) described the inventory as a baker’s dream. The house was also super family friendly with toys everywhere and my kids loved the little (secret) loft area filled w toys. The garage also had all sorts of toys including an electric children’s car! Not to mention the trampoline outside- the kids loved to jump in it and parents loved it as the kids exerted their energy outside the house! The host was super easy to work with, checked in during our stay and responsive to all our questions prior and any issues that came up. Check-in and check-out were also seamless. As for any negatives, we found the WiFi was not too strong upstairs so we ended up all working downstairs. It would have been better to allow for a little more privacy as many of us were working but this is a minor issue overall. To summarize I give this house a 5 star review because of the overall experience we all had. The house offered such comfort and serenity and as a parent to young kids these aspects are crucial, especially during a pandemic. My family and I were all really happy to have rented Michael’s home and will certainly recommend to others. Thanks, Michael!

Michael was great, responsive and helpful with everything that was needed. The house is spacious with a good layout. The location is incredible. But the pictures are outdated and do not fully represent the house--in Aug 2020, the house was not in as good condition as pictured. Especially the outdoor area. And while there are lots of amenities, things are not all in good condition.Plus, it was not cleaned well enough. For the price, we were disappointed. The host and location are fantastic, though.

The location and views this house offered are incredible. My family had an amazing time staying here. However, I can't give the house a full 5 stars. Considering the exorbitant cleaning charge, you'd expect the house to absolutely spotless. That was not the case! The beds were clean. The bathrooms were mostly clean. But the kitchen was not - we had to clean every pot, pan, plate, glass, and utensil we used. It was very disappointing. I don't plan to book this house again. The owner did not check in with us throughout our stay, and didn't have any check out instructions for us. Also, the driveway was filled with snow and blocked by the snow plow - there was no attempt at snow removal. Luckily we were in an SUV.

The property is nestled in an absolutely beautiful area of the bay - pictures do not do the views of the water justice; you just have to see it for yourself. The house is very family friendly with MORE than enough toys for children, and every other amenity you would need for your family.
If you want to cook, the kitchen has everything you need. Or, you can go get take out from some of the great restaurants just 10/15 mins down the road.
This property is an absolute gem, do yourself a favor and book some time there. I guarantee we will be returning in the future.

The property and the bayside location were beautiful and perfect for a quiet Thanksgiving weekend with just the family. We brought our food to cook ourselves, and I must say this property had the best equipped kitchen I have ever experienced in a rental, and we pulled off a fantastic Thanksgiving feast with all the trimmings. It is really set up for entertaining without a doubt. For the odds and ends accidentally left at home, we were just 7-10 minutes from Hampton Bays and everything we could need. The beach was sandy and a joy to stroll, even this time of year, and the afternoon sun still warm and the wind mostly light. The beautiful sundowns really added so much beauty to close out the afternoons as well. The owners were immediately responsive and helpful to any questions. I would rent here again in a heartbeat for another family gathering.

Our time at Michael's home was special. Other reviewers have talked about the sunset and private beach, which are all true, but I think what doesn't come across is how completely peaceful it is. The house is on a small enclave within Hampton Bays on a beach that's very rarely used. The combination of quiet, wide open beach, and sunsets (and sunrise) that feel overwhelmingly close is all very special. We traveled with young kids (5 and 1), and the house was perfect for them. There's a loft full of toys and everything you could imagine in the garage. It wasn't pictured on the listing, but there's also a nice sized front yard to play in. Michael was also very responsive and a great host.

The term "location, location, location" may very well have been coined after staying at this house. It's perch on the bay is ideal. The bay is large and deep so boats and jet skis are a yes, but it is also protected from wind which makes it perfect for stand up paddle boarding and kayaking. This home gets the morning sun in the front of the house and the afternoon sun in the back of the house. The beach is quiet, clean and pretty private. The sunsets from the beach, the backyard and the house are spectacular!
The house itself: so much real sleeping room. 6 bedrooms, 4 full baths. the communal space is adequate. One of the upstairs bedrooms is also like an upstairs living room.
What this house is and is not: It is in very good condition but it is an older house. It is not a shiny new fancy Hamptons house- so you have to be ok with that. 3 of the bathrooms look to be in super good shape original condition. One seems to be redone.
The beds are comfortable, the home was clean, the linens were plentiful and clean. Tons of kitchenware. He left us bug spray (needed!), Sunblock, lots of daily stuff he thought we may need. He even sent us paper towels knowing the house was low on them!!(thank you)
The outside: this is the part that seems to be missing some love. this area could use some clean-up/updating. This setting begs to be outside and this part can use an upgrade. That being said there is a hammock, a table and chairs out front and adirondack chairs out back. .The trampoline and corn hole game were fun to use. And the beach is...the beach.
The host is super chill and easy to contact - responds quickly, and gives tons of useful info for the area.
For us this was a great vacation. Would definitely return. Thank you for sharing your home.

There is something very special about Michael’s home. We can start with its location on the beautiful bay with amazing views from many of the rooms. But it’s more than that. Though not new, the house is wonderfully comfortable with lots of areas, both inside and out, to enjoy. Michael was a great host who remained available and helpful throughout our stay. We found his recommendations for activities and restaurants to be spot on and helpful since the area was new to us. We look forward to returning to this special house!

Micheal’s home is a very special place. The location is perfect. The sunsets were indescribable as they were directly in front of you as though they were just for you. Hampton bays is surrounded by so much water and parkland making it great for walks, hikes running, bike riding right out your door. Sandy bay beach at your feet. Kids loved it and said “ mom we’ve rented lots of houses but this is the first home that we ever rented.” Highly recommend.

Nothing beats the location of this house: literally on a beautiful, private shore in the bays. The house is big and well equipped, and Michael has been a great, helpful and communicative host.
