Titled Grand Cayman Part 1 because we will definitely be back for Part 2!
Our much anticipated trip was cut short by Hurricane Beryl. After landing and getting our vehicle we headed to the Sea Loft hosted by Maria. As we pulled into the driveway we fell in love with the property. We entered the home which was clean and very inviting. We grabbed our bags and got settled. Maria came by like she said she would to go over how things work in the house and to introduce herself. She was very warm, inviting and took great pride in her home & made us feel like family. She gave us excellent recommendations for food and places to see and left her number for anything had questions about. The first thing we did was grab our snorkel stuff and head out the back. Yes, it was really that simple we walked right out the back open air porch onto a beautiful deck, down the stairs and into the water. We weren’t far into the water before we were in the reef swimming with the fish... what a life. We relaxed in the deck, collected shells, watched beautiful sunsets and soaked in the sun. With Beryl approaching Maria called to check in, go over a plan on how to keep us safe & to bring over food, water & other supplies needed. Ultimately we got a flight to the states prior to Beryl’s impact. Maria’s communication was outstanding. She even text me to make sure we made it home safely. Even with our short stay we made memories & are so grateful for Maria’s warmth and hospitality. We will be back ❤️

Maria is awesome! House location cant be beat, roll out of bed and get your snorkel on! Quiet and peaceful, its in a great spot to see many attractions but be away from the commotion. We stayed 7 days and had dinner there about half the time. House is well stocked for just about any beach adventure you can think of. SOOO many shells to find. The screened porch and deck are great wish my house had them. Hopefully we can visit again someday. Cheers!

We had a wonderful and quiet time on this property. Having the grocery store a few steps away was handy. We enjoyed the water and the snorkeling.

I've stayed at a ton of rentals, not only is this place great but Maria is awesome. The true test of a host is when an issue occurs. Maria took care of everything quickly and communicated throughout. If this listing is on your list grab it.

The villa is comfy. The view is fantastic. The owner/manager is outstanding. We have stayed in many Vrbo rentals. Maria was by far the greatest, most helpful manager/owner we have ever met.
Regarding the villa--we had ample supply of towels and toiletries. The kitchen was great--plenty of pots and pans, (and we cooked a lot). One suggestion--a light over the stove would be helpful. Plenty of dishes, glasses, etc.
Snorkeling off the beach in front of the house was easy.
Enjoying a coffee or a drink on the porch or deck was relaxing and such fun. This is a taste of paradise.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this property. We enjoyed eating out on the screened in porch and sipping coffee on the deck every morning. The kids loved playing in the sand and our family saw some beautiful fish snorkeling. Maria was such a lovely host. We are so grateful for the wonderful memories made on this family vacation!

This property was wonderful. There were 3 of us so we each had a bedroom. The location was off the beaten path, but that was our desire. It was quiet and we rarely saw others around our little bit of paradise.nThe house was great and had everything you would need and then some. The extras were super helpful, beach towels, water shoes, snorkel gear, etc.
Pick this house and you will not go wrong. We will be back!

Great location on the quieter side of the Island. Awesome deck and sunroom. Solid snorkeling right there and a great place to look for shells.
Maria was a delight to deal with.
Loved it!

Enjoyed our stay at Maria’s beach cottage. The house is situated in a quiet area on the beach. Highlights included beach combing, coffee in the morning under the shade of the palm trees, games in the evening in the screened porch and snorkeling along the coral reef directly in front of the house. We saw an abundance of sea life including tropical fish, lobster, squid and lots of coral. Maria provides snorkel gear and sea kayaks. If you are looking for something other to do than laze on the beach and snorkel then it’s a short, easy drive to other beaches, caves, hikes, restaurants and other attractions.

Was a lovely stay at this sweet cottage on the beach.

It was awesome to escape the hustle and bustle of the developed south part of the island. Car required, but absolutely worth it. Snorkeling in the morning, beach during the day, and drinks on the deck to watch sunset. Amazing! Highly recommend!

A wonderful house/location! House was clean, spacious, and layout was amazing with private wings for parents and kids. Views from every room were amazing. Screened-in patio and deck views were breathtaking. Loved the outside shower, area for lounging in shade, and the very quiet/efficient AC in the house.
The snorkeling out from the house was great! Had a few calm days and a few more windy days when snorkeling wasn't as clear, but saw tons of different fish/critters. We took our own snorkeling gear and were glad we did. The kids loved the hermit crabs, other crabs, lizards, and snakes (only saw one) on the beach. Vicious mosquitos came out once the sun went down, so take repellent!
The beach was very private. We never saw anyone else on the beach! (other than landscapers for next door one day) Had fun finding "treasures" - sea glass and shells, the occasional stranded sea creature, coral.
Small grocery store literally a 2-3 minute walk from the house. So easy. We cooked a lot at the house and got most of our food from the bigger grocery stores downtown, but in a pinch the store by the house was great! And (currently) it's open on Sundays, when most grocery stores are closed.
We had a bit of a misunderstanding with Maria regarding our day of arrival instructions. (Make sure you have the arrival e-mail with the house address BEFORE you attempt to go through customs, as they will not let you into the country without it!)
All-in-all, an amazing vacation!

We enjoyed our quiet stay on the North side of the Island. Everything we needed was close by, but you needed a car. (We recommend renting a car from Cecil at JC car rental +1-345-326-3433). There is public transportation but we did not use it. Several beaches and restaurants were nearby. We stayed six weeks and the house comfortably accommodated all of our visitors. We enjoyed being right on the ocean and snorkeling was good. Maria was a good host.

We (family of 5) stayed 5 nights and loved this property! We arrived late at night, and Maria had sent us directions and the instructions needed for check in. We snorkeled and kayaked at the house every day! We also went to Rum Point and Starfish point and took a Stingray City trip with White Sands (amazing experience). Our favorite restaurants were Tukka and La Casita. The small grocery store 2 houses down was so convenient. The view and water is truly spectacular !

Maria was so helpful and kind with all the arrangements and information about the area.
The view, property and house are delightful. Couldn’t wish for better accommodations.
You can snorkel in front of the property, a special bonus!

This property is even better in person. The house was spacious and well furnished. The screened in porch and HUGE deck were amazing - and the views...can't say enough about the views. We chose this property so we could be beachfront and away from the tourist area. It was well worth it - secluded and peaceful, yet a 15 minute drive from some fantastic local restaurants, and getting to Georgetown was an easy drive. Maria was fantastic to work with as well.

Wow, we felt so welcomed by Maria. Also, this side of the island is so much quiter/ less busy than the 7 mile area. need a car for sure - but with a car, you can see everything on the whole island.
we would stay here again for sure.

We are lucky to have found this place. Thank you Maria for sharing your home with us. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend your home to others. There were very nice touches that felt like home love the throw blankets, were great. Plenty plenty of towels which you never get anywhere else. Very private area no one else was around which was what we were looking for a private beach for sure. Plenty of toilet tissue and paper towels that we never had to ask for. Maria thought of everything. She recommended some great restaurants. We loved the screened in porch. The Kaibo restaurant was wonderful ,we would recommend to everyone . The people are so nice everywhere. And also the Tukka restaurant was very good. We rented a car so went all over the Island to different beaches. When we come back we will stay at Maria's . And we also loved the huge deck. Maria is a Wonderful Woman. No one bothered us the entire time .There are lounge chairs that Maria let us bring on the beach. She is so laid back. Thank you hope to see you in New England some day. Also the stars are so beautiful at night.

This is the quiet side of the island, great for a peaceful and mellow time. The property is very large and there's a lot of space and privacy. Cute house has a wonderful screened porch with the prevailing breeze blowing through. Host is charming and lives nearby, was very helpful. Loved it!
2.0 / 5.0
Nice house could not go into the ocean and see the coral reef too rough, and the famous restaurant and beach bar has been closed since the pandemic, at Rum Point, very disappointed, what a scam!!!! I think I should be reimbursed some money, a big SCAM.

It is impossible to say enough wonderful things about this property. The location is idyllic, with a private beach and lovely reef a hundred feet from shore (in six feet of water, with no current) loaded with reef fish and overlooked by a large deck and gardens. The house itself is fully appointed, nicely furnished and immaculate. And Maria is a superb and attentive host. There is a lot to do within a short drive- caverns, nature trails, kite boarding, the Botanic Garden. Yes, it is a bit of a drive to George Town, but you are picking the north side of Grand Cayman to get away from the crowds. We stayed for a month and were never bored. Do yourself a favor and rent this place.

Fantastic!!
Pictures of the property did not lie. Spent an amazing week at Sea Loft Villa on the North Side celebrating my wife's birthday. Very tranquil area to just lay back and watch time go by. Everything you need is available on the property: kayaks, snorkel equipment, beach towels, washer/dryer, cooking utensils, outdoor BBQ, etc.. All you need is a beverage and a sea breeze to complete the day on the outdoor patio. For those unexpected items, Chisolm's store is a few minutes down the road. Rented a car at the airport for the week and drove to many areas on the island. GPS was a definite plus when driving to Georgetown and 7 Mile Beach Roundabouts are a little r tricky without it. Hats off to my shotgun, Randy, and navigator, Ros. We made it back to the house each time..Loved Crystal Caves tour just down the road a few miles. Rum Point was fun and Stingray City tour was great. Had dinner at the Lighthouse and Over the Edge restaurants. The fish at both were delicious. Prices you see advertised on the island are typically Cayman dollars, so be prepared to pay more when using US dollars. I definitely recommend staying at Sea Loft Villa when in Grand Cayman. Maria was available to answer any questions and made our stay perfect Thank you Maria..

Beautiful Property and Location!
My family had a wonderful time at Maria's property on the Northside. The snorkeling in front of the house was fantastic and we only saw 2 other people on "our" reef and beach the whole week!

Beach Getaway
The home was delightful. From the moment you stepped inside...the blue ocean just inviting you. There is a comfortable couch in the screened porch, (even slept out there 2 evenings) large dining table for eating, playing cards, games, etc. Walk out to deck, where there is even more comfortable couches for lounging. Kyacks were great, then after grab one of the 2 hammocks for a snooze. For 6 adults we never felt cramped. All in all we absolutely loved it and would definitely come again.

Perfect family getaway
Maria was very helpful. This was truly a beach cottage with the perfect location to have privacy, a great beach right outside the door, yet close enough to many activities. She had plenty of things provided for fun activities and great spaces to relax at. Many tourists pay for tours to starfish point and the bio bay, etc. We spent most of our time just driving a few minutes down the road to enjoy them anytime we wanted. We enjoyed many family dinners on the screen porch and loved listening to the ocean as we slept. Perfect spot. We cant thank her enough

Loved the house and the north side of the Cayman Islands
Great house in a beautiful setting. We were able to kayak and snorkel easily from the property, and loved the private beach with hammocks, decks and a screened in porch. We’ve stayed at 7 mile beach in the past and preferred the quiet, snorkeling and sites- starfish beach- of this area. The house was great for our family of 6- clean and very comfortable. Would stay again!!

Best Christmas vacation EVER!
It was a pleasure to work with Maria for our travel plans and stay at her house over Christmas vacation with my wife and 2 teenage sons. What an amazing house and location for our first Cayman visit. We will remember this Christmas for the rest of our lives. The SCUBA diving was incredible at "Ocean Frontiers" on the Eastside. The meals at "The Lighthouse" and 'Over the Edge' were fabulous. Maria's recommendations were spot on. Loved that Rum Point is so close to the house. Her hospitality and the care she takes here at the hosue made us feel at home.
The snorkeling out front of the house was a bonus and our boys saw 10 lobsters under one rock! Loved it so much we will be back. This is a 10 Star Location.

Beautifully Peaceful
Our family of 4 had the most wonderful time and experience at Rum Point Drive Villa! We were close in proximity to everything on the North Side and thoroughly enjoyed coming back to the villa to rest and relax. The hardest decision was choosing which location in the villa to relax, as there are several wonderful options! Thank you Maria for your wonderful hospitality, we knew you were only a phone call away!

Rum Point Villa
Maria’s home was perfect for our family of five. The house was very spacious and had all the essentials that we needed including washer dryer, beach towels, snorkeling equipment, and kitchen utensils. The private beach was very large and we enjoyed snorkeling out on the reef and kayaking. Although it was a 30-40 minute drive from 7 mile beach, we did not mind because the area was very quiet and we enjoyed driving around the island and exploring. Our three daughters said it was the best vacation ever!
