Perfect getaway for my friend and I. Comfortable and good accommodations for the price.

Cleanliness and staff were pluses.
Rooms were old. Carpet and decor was dated and worn. They did have fridge, tv, coffee maker and microwave. Also rooms were very clean and staff very friendly. However when you pay over $200 , with that location you expect more.

The location was excellent… easy to walk to the main shopping district. The room was very easy to get to, very clean, and Alyssa was very friendly and helpful. It was a very relaxing, slow-paced town with very friendly people.
The plumbing is very old and you have to hold the toilet handle down for a minute to flush. There was way more water coming out of the tub spigot than the shower head, which means it takes multiple minutes to rinse shampoo out of your hair (the whole faucet fixture just needs replacing). There are also very cheap blinds on the window, which don’t block light at all, so I thought it was morning when I woke up at 1:30am. The outside lights shine right in the face of the person sleeping closest to the window. Some light blocking drapes would help. The lock to the room is a basic doorknob, which is probably very easy to Jimmy. The dead old was keyed on both sides, but our room key didn’t fit it. And finally, the only outlet in the bedroom is between the beds, where a power strip was plugged in. Kind of annoying when you want to blow dry your hair but the mirror is on the other side of the room. The only outlet in the bathroom was in the 60+-year-old light fixture above the sink. I couldn’t reach it, so I don’t know if it even worked. And then there is a pedestal sink with only enough room to put a bar of soap. I had to keep my toothbrush in my suitcase because there was no room to set it by the sink. Small things, but annoying nonetheless. The biggest improvement they could make is darkening drapes.

The porch was nice. The room was very clean but needs updating
No place to put clothes away. Need dressers.

The staff was very friendly. The location was great. Everything was within walking distance to restaurants and shops, and also enjoyed walking to the park at the lake just a couple of blocks away and down the street to lake Michigan just a few more blocks. Very convenient. Enjoyed the short drive to Betsie lighthouse and beach.

Location was great for us. Everything we wanted was within a 10-15 minute walk, and we walked everywhere which made us feel a little less guilty eating the great food at the local restaurants.
The room was a bit older, and little small, but for 2 it wasn’t a big deal at all. We didn’t vacation to sit inside the entire time!

The beds were comfortable. The rooms were a good size.
The room looks better in the photos. The rockers were not comfortable to sit in for long. The lack of a dresser was disappointing to the women.

Location was close to town/water
Room extremely small, outdated, needs refreshed. The shower needs to be refreshed. We had a problem with some kind of gnats/bug all over beds. They have promised to refund rest of stay .

Nice little place in a decent location for getting around the area. We stayed in one bedroom cottage. It was clean and had everything we needed. Would stay again. Only issue is noted in other section of review.
We stayed in the cottage. The sofa bed was terrible. Basically a frame with springs. Had to just sleep on the couch which was ok since only one person. If needed to accommodate two people it would have been a problem. I would not stay there if needed accommodations for 3-4.

We arrived after the front office closed. Thankfully, they had called in advance to let us know the after hours protocol.
We also appreciated the quiet location and quaint details, like the outdoor set for each room. The room itself was clean and comfortable.
We spent most of our time at Sleeping Bear, but ate breakfast in town. The lodge was so close to main street and all the shops!
The shower was a small shower stall, so we both were banging our elbows on the sides.
Also, we thought the price was high for what we got.

Great location for price-especially on a holiday weekend. Manager on site which is rare for a small facility.
Small TV was in a poor location to see from a distance (from the bed). Prefer a Keurig type coffee maker.
4.1
it was very basic, but very clean and a great location, within walking distance of downtown shopping and restaurants. And they have real coffee! All they need is creamer in the fridge. Melissa the property manager was very nice.
It seems a bit overpriced for what is basically a courtyard motel, but it is a good location in a resort town. Also they could use better soap.
