Estadia super simpatica em familia! Queremos voltar!

Estadia optima em familia, pessoal excelente, simpaticas, profissionias, disponiveis, educadas. Instalaçǒes grandes, varias salas disponiveis para uso dos hospedes, optimo pequeno almoço, apartamento muito espaçoso, quartos e casas de banho espaçosos, camas optimas. Piscina, jardim, cavalos, varias alternativas para entretenimento.

Nice renovation

We were treated very well with a delicious dinner and a packed breakfast to go as we left early in the morning to walk the Camino. The bedroom and bathroom were both very spacious. We had a very quiet night with great sleep

Very nice place for a weekend off!

The breakfast was really nice. The views from the room were great! The rooms were spacious and clean. The pool, the animals around, etc made it a really nice stay.

The receptionist that checked us in wasn’t so friendly.

Country retreat

Wonderful place, a great combination of old-world hospitality and modern conveniences. I loved the pool and the chickens (not to worry, there are no chickens in the pool). I was there on my own, but it would be great for couples or families. Excellent home base for discovering that Portugal has more to offer than Lisbon or Porto.

Exceptional

unbelievable… this kind of luxurious place in the middle of nowhere! I walk Camino de Santiago and was very surprised to see that accommodation on my way. the lady at reception was very nice and helpful, even though I don’t speak Portuguese she did everything possible to help me!

the only thing that I wish could be better is to open the restaurant and bar early. I guess it’s only seasonal and now (April) it’s closed.

Great place - in the middle of the countryside by the great Tagus river; A bit remote for dining out

Room was great, very few other guests so probably the best room in the house looking over the river.

Breakfast a bit economical - undrinkable orange juice. Dinner had to be 30 km away - nothing open in the environs

Excellent communication. Superbly equipped, spotless comfortable accommodation

A gem of a find. I have severe allergies to fragrances. The staff went out of their way to ensure the bed linen and room toiletries were unscented. It was such a relief. The kitchen was superbly equipped with utensils, spacious and spotless, and the beds very comfortable. Beautiful sunsets, too. The river opposite is stunning, and it was fantastic to be away from the hustle and bustle in a rural spot. Given the location, you will need a car to explore Portugal, but it is an excellent base if you do have a vehicle. Be mindful that there are dogs here. I am not a huge fan, but they were all REALLY friendly :) I'll definitely be back!!

Disappointing

We had to fight to get our breakfast before 8am... and could then only get it in the room.. bedroom lights did not work, only one lamp in bathroom did work, room was very musty.. not open for a looong time.. not clean, and very hot despite appr 18 degrees outside. had to open the window to the street to get some air.. Disappointing as I have stayed many times before.. now needs some care.. looks wanr down..

An amazing place to stay with dogs

Amazing place, super friendly staff. The best treatment for the dogs. We travelled with 2 big dogs, nothing was a problem in Marchanta. They were so happy there...We recommend 100% for travel with dogs and without dogs too.

It was all perfect, more than we expected.

Exceptional

Good location to stop for a night whilst walking the Camino. Beautiful Quinta, immaculately painted in blue and white, with spacious grounds including swimming pool, stables, library, chapel and garden. Loved visiting the wonderful horses! Room was spotless, very comfortable beds, lovely ensuite bathroom. Our room had a balcony overlooking the front of the property and the Tagus. We ate dinner in the restaurant on site, the food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and accomodating - we ate a vegetarian meal. Breakfast was included, and was so delicious also; highlight was the scrambled eggs! This is a really lovely place to relax and recharge for a few days, would highly recommend.

Lovely location, peaceful just a pity about the nearest restaurant location because I hadn't a car.

Location was good by the river.

Had to walk 3K to the nearest Restaurant.
