Spectacular 1/2 acre oceanfront property 3 minutes from downtown Sechelt, miles of beach for walking, beachcombing or swimming, gorgeous southwest views of the Trail and Vancouver Islands.

Well appointed private self contained 1 bedroom suites. Queen bed in bed room with sofa bed in the living room. Maximum 4 guests Crib and high chair available. Relax on our private beach during the day and enjoy a crackling beach fire in the evening.

Wonderful setup. The suite is very well maintained and well furnished. Sleeps 3 comfortably. Beautiful view onto the Ocean. Steps to access it. Wonderful memories!

We enjoyed our stay at Doreen and Doug’s lovely VRBO! A quaint, well equipped space with lots of extras! Great to have the option of a hot tub, and the beach access. The view was amazing and the grounds are well kept and inviting. It’s just a short trip to Sechelt , so very close to amenities. We stayed a couple days and found it a nice retreat!

Wonderful get away and a great location with the walk to the beach two minutes away - loved having fires on the beach and going to bed at night and waking up to such a beautiful view. Coffee on the deck and seeing cruise ships pass in the distance at night. Doreen and Doug are wonderful hosts which made our stay even more enjoyable !!!

The location and the cottage were great. The view was fantastic and the use of the hot tub made the stay that much more enjoyable. The property was clean. From the pictures it was not clear that the cottage was located behind the owners house and that the grounds and the hot tub were to be shared with the owners of the property living in the house next to us. On check out day we were 30 min late checking out since we had 3 young kid with us and it's no easy task to get everyone ready and out the door while still trying to clean up the unit. The owner lady made passive aggressive comments to us as we were trying to leave and did not even acknowledge when I apologized for being late as I was trying to clean the unit for her before we left. That honestly left a bad taste in my mouth. Even thought I enjoyed the property the owner lady was rude and not someone you'd want to deal with. If this was her reaction to someone being 30 min late checking out (on a Monday) I can only imagine how 'pleasant' she would be if anyone God forbid damaged or broke something by accident. That would be scary!

Doug and Doreen wonderful hosts. Checked in a little early.Doug briefly showed us around. Suggested a couple of hikes in the area both were great. Room clean and comfortable. Well equippedEveryting we needed in kicthen. No oven but an great natural gas BBQ so didn't need the oven. Amazing views. Beautiful spa down by the water. Robes, spa and bathroom towels, wine, snacks and a nicely set table all there when we arrived. public beach to walk and 5 minutes drive to Sechelt. Only minor things were a noisy kitchen fan and electric fireplace. Did not negatively impact our trip. Definitely will book again.

Great view and beachfront access. The road nearby is noisy but somewhat hard to escape on this stretch of the sunshine coast. More reason to spend your time down at the beach. Check-in/out was easy. The unit had everything we needed and even provided a crib and high chair for our 1.5yr old.

This property has the most gorgeous views!! From the deck, from the beach, from the hot tub! Communication with Doreen and Doug was quick and easy, they were available for any questions we had. They provided a helpful info book in the suite as well with ideas for local activities etc. The suite was well equipped with everything we needed to cook our dinners and even a high chair was provided for our little one. We will definitely return and recommend to others.

This location is perfect for those who want a home base for Sunshine Coast adventures. A hot tub with an ocean view puts it over the top. The friendly hosts are located nearby, making it fast and easy to get questions answered. Looking forward to visiting again.

Lovely little loft over a garage with gorgeous gardens. Hostess provided all the creature comforts. There were robes for our trip to the hot tub and slippers. Beautiful views from the deck and even better ones from the hot tub. Town is close if you need anything and lots of hiking and kayaking spots in the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. With the close proximity to the beach we enjoyed long walks by the water, watching the herons, and searching for starfish. Ending the day with a soak in the hot tub and looking out over the expanse of the ocean only added to the beauty of this little gem of a property. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

A friend and I wanted to escape the city for the weekend and this place was perfect. Doreen and Doug are superhosts for a reason. The view is top notch from the second floor suite, and morning coffee on the lanai was perfection. Their beach area is adorable and I could see bringing down a cooler full of drinks and staying there all day in the summer. Hot tub was a great spot to watch the sunset. It was still a bit chilly out during our stay, and we practically lived in the cozy robes provided. If you're cooking in the suite note there is no oven - luckily our recipes could be amended to stovetop! If you are games people, bring your own games, as there aren't any in the suite. Also ensure you let the hosts know if the pullout will be used so they can ensure you have enough bedding. I walk with a cane and was able to navigate the slope down to the hot tub and to the waterfront quite well. We'll definitely be back!

Great little spot close to Sechelt, restaurants, hikes and best of all has a great beach. Had everything you need, beach chairs, towels etc. Hosts very friendly and accommodating. A perfect place to get away from it all but not too far from home in N. Vancouver

We had a great vacation there. Place has everything you need for cooking, sleeping etc., so you do not really need to bring much with you. Location and view is one of the best. The only downside is that internet connection was not always great, but this is minor comparing to our overall impression. I do recommend it!

Quiet seaside gem

Clean, comfortable, and spacious accommodation. Located right off the Sunshine Coast Highway, a mere 5-10 min. drive from the town centre of Sechelt. Doug and Doreen were fantastic hosts. What really pushed our stay over the top was the beachfront hot tub with its spectacular views of the Strait. The complimentary bottle of vino was a very nice touch!
