We had an excellent stay at Harbor Daze this August. The house was extremely clean, functional, and had everything we needed to cook and be comfortable for the week. The highlight was coming back from hikes and bike rides and being able to soak in the hot tub! The house had nice views of the harbor and was close enough to walk to a few places for dinner, which was really nice.

We found that the property was well maintained and contained just about everything that we needed. Our grandchildren in particular liked the hot tub. When we needed extra chairs for around the table for dinner, our host was quick in delivering them to us. We enjoyed having a meal on the deck and found that we could easily walk into town.

We had a fantastic stay at Harbor Daze! We’ve been to SW Harbor several times in the past and this location and home did not disappoint. Extremely comfortable for our group of 6 (4 adults and two older teens). The one double bed was a little tight for a couple but we made it work. The kitchen was extremely functional and the location with a beautiful view of the harbor made for an easy short walk into the center of town. Would happily stay here again on our next return visit!

My family and I loved staying here! It was centrally located to many of must sees on the island and it’s located in a quaint little harbor - Southwest Harbor. It’s walkable distance to shops, restaurants, and downtown area. The hot tub was great too after a long day exploring. Pictures are accurate and the rental was clean. Check in/checkout was simple and easy.

Four adults were more than comfortable in this beautiful harbor home. We walked to town, supermarket was close, marina/harbor views were lovely, and the hot tub felt amazing after our long hikes in Acadia. Kitchen and home were overall well stocked and Amanda was very responsive. We loved it! Hope to return someday.

Great location for view of harbor or walk into town. Comfortable accomodations, well equipped kitchen. Excellent communication with host.

Everything was as described. It was just my husband and I that stayed and there was PLENTY of room if we would have been traveling with others. The washing machine didn't work, but the host was accommodating with an alternative solution while we were there. If we ever come back to the area we'd definitely stay here again.

We loved everything about our stay. From the kitchen having what we needed, to the hot tub and fire pit being just what we needed after a day of hiking, to the comfortable living area, it was all as advertised and perfect for us. We loved being on the quiet side with just a short drive to what we wanted to do!

We had a great time (2 couples), the place was very comfortable. We were out every day exploring the area. We did e-bikes in Acadia national park, boat ride and eating a lot of lobster. Thanks for sharing your place.

Great place.
The only complaint is that the cable didn’t have signal so we couldn’t watch movies at night.
House was clean and comfortable. Location was great and we really enjoyed eating dinners on the deck.

Great location for trips to National Park, shops, restaurants, harbor. Enjoyed the hot tub- though it was snug for 4 adults. The traffic on Main Street was a little loud for sitting on the front porch- but could barely hear it in the house.
Beautiful sunrises.

We had an amazing time during our stay! The property is very clean, spacious, and has pretty views from the windows and deck. The location is fabulous, close by to restaurants and coffee shops. We loved spending time in the hot tub after a day of hiking. We will definitely be returning in the future!

My entire family fell in love with this rental. The layout is simply amazing with so much open space. The rental had everything you could want, and the hot tub was just that little extra that just further enhanced the relaxation.
It is only a 25 minute drive to Bar Harbor so it is close enough, but all the necessities such as amazing restaurants and a local grocery has everything you need.
Five stars for sure and we would definitely vacation here again!! Thank you, Jane, for allowing us to enjoy your home!

Four of us (2 adults and 2 teens) were very comfortable in this house. We walked to town regularly and it was easy to drive to many parts of Mount Desert Island. The house is very clean and well kept. We loved using the hot tub after long hikes! Definitely recommend Beall’s & Charlotte’s Lobster Pound for casual meals. Also enjoyed Eat-a-pita for a more upscale dinner. The bike shop up the road, Southwest Cycle, was extremely helpful for a repair. Favorite hikes: Flying Mountain, Acadia Mountain, Wonderland and the carriage road at Brown Mountain (closer to Northeast Harbor). Happily took advantage of the free EV charging station in town (by the police station). Would definitely stay here again!

Located right across a harbor and short distance from a small town. It was convenient, clean, and the host was great. Would gladly stay there again.

This was our first trip to Acadia and it was nice to come back each day to a house in a quiet area. Nice small town to walk to and an easy drive anyway on MDI. House had a great equipped kitchen and we made use of the grill, hot tub and fire pit (owner provided plenty of wood). We were visited every day by a doe and her two fawns. We all had a great week there.

We had a great time at Harbor Daze this last week. Close enough to walk into town and grab a meal or walk around and window shop, easy drives to swimming, hiking, biking and more! The house comes well stocked with towels, kitchen supplies, and dining spaces. The patio is lovely outside and we enjoyed having a fire and sitting in the hot tub at night after doing activities most days.
Beal’s Lobster Pound was a great dinner and we also enjoyed the local coffee shop, Milagro’s on most mornings. Such a quiet and beautiful side of the island.

Great place to stay
House accurately represented in the listing. We stayed for a month and thought it was the perfect place to stay. Has everything you need for your stay. Hot tub is great for relaxing after your activities during the day. Tub is serviced twice a week. Close enough to Acadia and much less crowded than Bar Harbor.
Some good hiking, Acadia Mtn, Beech Mtn west ridge within a short drive. Main part of Acadia is 15 - 20 minutes away. Farmers Market every Friday with the cheapest price for live lobster. Eat at MDI Lobster on Clark's Point Road. Owner were great. I got a package mailed to me during our stay and they picked it up at the post office and delivered to the house. Can't say enough good things about the house.

Great Location
We loved everything about our stay, including its proximity to less busy trails of Acadia NP. The view was lovely, and we really appreciated the abundance of high quality supplies that were provided (e.g. Tide pods, Cascade pods, 7th generation soap, Mrs. Meyers all purpose cleaner, Glad flex trash bags, etc). Everything about this trip was “easy” which made it really enjoyable. We had 4 adults and 2 young children in our group, and we just had the best time. One thing to be aware of in this area is the scarcity of food options (both restaurants and grocery stores) and their limited hours of operation. Plan ahead for meals, so you’re not frantically trying to figure out dinner and keep running into dead ends. We enjoyed this stay more than a much more costly and shorter stay closer to Bar Harbor this time last year. We would definitely return!

Lovely house, great location.
We enjoyed Harbor daze. Southwest Harbor it’s a great location to stay away from a very busy bar harbor. We found that the best restaurant, Beals, was located just a mile or less from this house. We were originally going to be a party of five or six, but due to Covid and other circumstances, our parents were not able to join us. So, it was just me and my husband. The house is in a very good location and has a very nice view of the harbor. The deck was a really great location to have a cup of coffee in the morning. The size was fine, I could see how six adults might get a little cramped. But we came to Maine to eat lobsters and do a lot of hiking, so we weren’t even in the house that much anyway. I had a few questions and Jane was very quick to answer and give me some good recommendations. Kudos on hearth and harbor because OMG there soup and pizzas were so good. Thank you Jane For allowing us to stay in your house for the week. We hope to return very soon with our parents. Cheers!

First Trip to Acadia and South West Harbor
My husban and I spent our Anniversary in this beautiful area in Maine. The house was spotless and lovley. We enjoyed the less busy area of SouthWest Harbor over the downtown congestion of Bar Harbor. Close enough to all we wanted to see. Deer visited the back yard daily , even as we soaked in the wonderful outdoor spa. I cook alot during vacation due to having celiac desiese and enjoyed the harbor view while i did so in the very adequatly stocked kitchen. We found Harbor Daze a bright and cheery home. Enjoyed drinks and coffee on the wonderful deck. The morning sunrise is right there without driving anywhere!

This home is very quaint, clean and conveniently located. The owner made our arrival very welcoming by leaving lights on and air conditioning started in the master bedroom. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean and great location for going to Acadia
This house fit our family well, 2 adults and 5 children 10 months- 13yrs. We really enjoyed the hot tub. Jane was prompt in responding to any questions we had. We would book it again if we decided to return to Acadia.

Perfect family getaway
This was the perfect location for our family of 5 to celebrate our oldest’s HS graduation after such a crummy year. We enjoyed walking to dinner and for ice cream. A couple evenings we cooked dinner on the grill and enjoyed the deck seating with the gorgeous view.
The location was perfect to visit Bar Harbor, Acadia and even a day trip to Quoddy Head State Park.
The copy of the local paper, handwritten welcome note and sample of maple syrup were sweet touches.
We truly enjoyed the whole trip!

We enjoyed sitting on the porch, soaking in the hot tub, and cooking in the kitchen....an enjoyable stay.

Excellent property and location
Everything from start to finish was great. Had a couple questions during our stay and Jane was quick to respond. The property is well maintained and a good amount of space for 6 adults. Pictures don't do it justice; even cuter in person and had a very "Maine" vibe! Got a little hot in the kitchen with sun pouring through all the windows but this is what also made the view so great. Would definitely stay here again!

Great for my family!
My wife, mother-in-law, and my boys, 2 and 3, stayed for a week. Open concept was great. Nice big deck. Off street parking was super convenient as well as being able to walk into town and restaurants.

Cozy home right next to town
Just like what you see in the pictures. Love the windows in the morning and the view of the harbor. A bit of sound when on the deck since it’s on a Main Street, but can’t hear anything when inside. There’s two great lobster places nearby: beal’s and charlotte’s. The host is helpful and responsive. There’s some nice trails in the park 10 min away and then 30 min away from the main ones. There’s a port to cranberry isles 5 min away. We enjoyed our stay and loved the hot tub in the back gazing at the stars

Wonderful week long getaway in late September
We had a wonderful stay at the Harbor Daze house. The house is beautiful decorated and well equipped. We ate most of our meals on the front deck, enjoying the sunshine and the view of the harbor and spent many nights in the hot tub under the stars! The property was only a short way from a nearby village which has everything you need including a beautiful bakery and gift shops.
It is only 20-30 minutes from Bar Harbor and some of the more famous hikes in Acadia.
We would definitely go back to Harbor Daze.

Harbor Daze is a true hidden gem! We planned a getaway to celebrate our 1 yr Wedding Anniversary and were welcomed with a lovely note from Jane! The house was incredibly clean, with offerings of new masks, soap, sanitizer and bug spray. It’s 20 minutes from Bar Harbor and about 8 minutes to Bass Harbor Light House. Walking distance to multiple restaurants and a short drive to some of the best Lobster Rolls we’ve had. It was amazing after hiking to come back and relax in the hot tub. We would recommend and definitely love to stay here again! Thank you Harbor Daze!
