Such a nice place to sit and enjoy the sunset, or float in the warm lake water. There is plenty of room in this three bedroom, three bath lake house. Inside you will find so many interesting things that the owner has collected through their worldwide journeys. We spend most of our time on the covered deck enjoying the view. This place is wonderful.

It was exactly what we wanted. Please keep in mind - the 30 minutes to the nearest town (Ithica) seems quite a bit longer on the back roads. But we have no complaints. The house was amazing, we literally were sitting on a deck with the lake waters running beneath us.
If you want to have a great fishing trip - we know a guy.
We loved it here and will definitely consider visiting again. Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location of the house right on the water cannot be best! Amazing sunsets and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the eagles and osprey’s fish every day. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay. Communication with the owners was great although we did not need to contact them during our stay. I would recommend this rental to anyone who is looked to have a relaxing vacation RIGHT on the water with amazing views.

We have stayed in many cottages but never this close to the lake. Our family absolutely loved the kayaking, floats and paddle board and fishing. We saw two bald eagles swoop to catch fish and the sunsets were wonderful. The cottage is well equipped, clean and spacious.

Nice waterfront home filled with amazing decor. Everything we needed for our stay was there. Clean home with great views and a peaceful area.

The owners were great to deal with. VRBO on the other hand was far too aggressive and their booking system.
This practice was a dealbreaker for any future considerations using VRBO.
AIRBB was much better suited for me.

We had a lovely week at this home. It was larger than expected. There is a lot of seating so everyone had a place to lounge and relax. The outdoor space is phenomenal. There are interesting decor items throughout the house and the kitchen is well stocked. Communication with the owner and property manager was quick and efficient. Sunsets were spectacular and the stars on a clear night - amazing. The only drawback was the lack of AC during a warm August (we did not know there were only fans) and the sulfur smell of the lake water when showering (but that could have been due to the heat). Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely consider visiting again.

What a wonderful combination of old time Finger Lakes cottage and exotic Balinese retreat! This cottage is both comfortably and conveniently furnished with everything you could want, including modern washer and dryer, extra water shoes and lifejackets in all sizes, binoculars, even good sharp chef’s knives in the kitchen, while also being charmingly decorated with the hosts‘ furniture and decorations from Indonesia. The closeness to the water is unique among Finger Lakes cottages. We brought our bicycles and enjoyed all the wonderful back roads in the area (be prepared to climb hills!) and also enjoy the kayaks that come with the property. We didn’t begin to do all the things we had potentially mapped out to do in the area, so we will have to return to rent here again! Lisa and Kathy, the property manager, were super responsive and accommodating.

We had a lovely stay, and especially appreciated the various outdoor spaces (sun & shade options) right on the water. We spent most of our time on the decks. And the kayaks were key! The house was very well-equipped (I could’ve brought less stuff from home!).

Quiet, eclectic, peaceful retreat
Our entire experience was terrific! Lisa was very helpful and made sure we had everything that we needed. The house has an amazing view of the lake, and dark skies where you may get an unobstructed view of the galaxy on one of the many decks. The decor inside is very eclectic and delightful. It is comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed watching the rain come across the lake as well as the sun set over the lake.

We loved our stay at Lisa and Joel's cottage! The deck is a great place for coffee in the morning with wonderful views of Lake Cayuga, or wine in the evening and stargazing. My sons had fun swimming in the lake, and we all enjoyed taking the kayaks out to watch the sun set. There's more than enough to do in the area: wineries, the town of Ithaca, Sciencenter, plenty of parks with amazing gorges and waterfalls, the Farmer's Market, Cornell botanic gardens, ice cream at Cream at the Top (so good!), and more. We had a minor issue with the cottage during our stay, but the owners were very responsive and quickly resolved it. Lisa was pleasant and easy to work with. Hoping to return soon!

Sunsets, Hikes, Boat trips, and Wineries!
Cozy house literally right on the water. In fact, you feel as though you are in a houseboat--which really gives it an other-worldly feeling. A nice get away. We brought our small Hydrostream outboard and the dry dock worked beautifully. We put in at the Long Point State Park boat ramp which is about 5 miles away. We took advantage of the canoe and one of the kayaks onsite -- super easy in and out of the water. We spent most of our time in the front room facing the lake and on the dock--every night was an event to watch the incredibly beautiful sunsets. We toured several wineries on the other side of the lake -- takes about 10-15 min to get across; there are several wineries with docks (Sheldrake, Thirsty Owl and GooseWatch). We also visited Brightleaf Winery which is within close driving/walking distance to the house--great views of Cayuga Lake. We brought our bikes and loved the Black Diamond Trail from Ithaca to Taugh. Falls. We loved the Gorge Trail in Robert Treman State Park-super nice. And if you like to run, you won't find a flatter road than the one beside the house. The internet in the house was great; several of us had webex/zoom meetings. The water pressure was a tad low, but very manageable. The unique furnishings in the house from Indonesia and the Carribean were a nice touch, again making you feel like you've come to a unique place.

Charming Lakeside Retreat
With decks on the lake for sunny days and a covered deck for rainy days, as well as a sunroom with lake views for chilly days, this house was a perfect autumn escape. The location is ideal, a waterfront home on a quiet road amidst Finger Lakes wineries and farms. The house is charming. The owners’ travels and interests are represented In the unique furnishings throughout. All in all, a perfect week.

Oh my gosh We had the best time. Your house is the perfect place for a multi-generational family gathering (more now than ever). You have thought of everything -- and the way you have decorated your home with mementos from your life and travels makes it feel all the more personal and special. We've kayaked, biked, paddled, swam, read, sang, hiked, farmers-marketed, apple picked, cooked up a storm, and we even came in second at Trivia Night at the Treleavan Winery...Thank you!Beth

Perfect vacation house
Our family of five adults thoroughly enjoyed Lisa's lake house. Everything was as described in the listing from the wonderful location directly on the lake to the very comfortable accommodations. The video for check-in was very helpful, which Lisa followed up with an email. She was very responsive when we had additional questions. We totally enjoyed swimming, kayaking, fishing, and just floating around in beautiful Cayuga Lake. Our family's description "best lake vacation ever"!

June 2020 Family Vacation
We stayed at this lake house during the last week of June 2020. There were two families and four kids, so a total of eight of us. We had plenty of room. It is in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view including gorgeous sunsets. We enjoyed coffee on the dock in the mornings and swam in the lake. There are two wineries that are close to the house, and the adults visited both of them. The house has all the required kitchen supplies needed. It was clean and the check-in process was easy.
Communication with the owners and her friend was easy. They truly want you to enjoy your time at the lake. I had a few questions during our stay, and I received a quick response. If both families can coordinate the same week for next summer, we would like to stay here again.

Amazing lake house
This lake house is a relaxing and amazing get away! The house is in a quiet And lovely location and right on the lake. The house is full of eclectic and interesting decorations, and if you are a reader, there are books everywhere. In short, it’s heaven! The kids had a blast with the kayaks and water, the adults relaxed on the dock, all day every day. Lisa and Kathy were very responsive with any question we had, and the checkin was easy. We had everything we needed and Thanks for a great stay!

Another excellent stay
We enjoyed another great week at this amazing lake property. We are going on almost 10 years here and look forward to it every year. The multi-tiered deck/dock and sunset views can’t be beat. The owners again made improvements to property to make the stay enjoyable. This year we had an inquiry during our stay that they were prompt to respond to and take care of for us. We would highly recommend.

Lake Life
Lisa and Joel’s cottage is spacious and comfortable. I loved the relics from travels, along with the sunsets to close the day. It was reminiscent of another time and place.

Perfect week on the lake
A great cottage perched right on Cayuga Lake. The hosts met us and oriented us and were super helpful and responsive from booking to check in. The lake water was clear and refreshing. We saw bald eagles and all sorts of water birds. We also enjoyed Ithaca just half an hour away for great dinners. The array of decks , including the biggest one right over the water, offered seating and views at every level. We went out with our coffee every morning and hung out all evening. The hosts provided ample jugs of water (the town water is not potable and smells a bit metallic /sulfuric) and all in all gave us a great vacation spot we’d like to return to next year!
