Lovely spacious bedroom and bathroom overlooking the church. Very friendly staff and good food.
Overall it was great but there could have been a little more variety for non-cooked breakfasts.
3.5
Location and parking was great
Quite cramped room. The main meal served very small portions.

The staff couldn’t be more helpful, the rooms & public areas where spotless .
There is no lift to the 2nd floor ……. It was explained to us it’s a listed building & therefore they were not permitted to fit one .
But please don’t let put you off booking this hotel

Friendly and professional staff.Great wellcome and excellent breakfast.
4.5
Great location in the centre of Beverley.
I was staying on my own, so dinner can feel a bit awkward. I had a table tucked away in the bar where I could see what was going on but did not feel exposed. The service was attentive but not intrusive.
There is a good list of cocktails. I ate a risotto with sea bass fillets, both of which were perfectly cooked.
Having had a great dinner, the breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. Not bad, but not what I had come to expect. The coffee was weak and scrambled eggs seemed like they had been around for a while

The hotel is beautiful.
The hotel staff went above and beyond from the outset.
The car park had a steward who allowed us to park out of a bay but took our mobile number and called us as soon as a space became available - this was unexpected and great customer service! The receptionist on check-in, acknowledged my mobility issues and without any prompting from me, found us a better-accessible room - this was unexpected and again was great customer service!
The waiting staff in the restaurant for our evening meal were friendly, efficient and above all else knowledgeable about the menu and gave assistance throughout the night - there was a disappointing wait for our mains - but this was acknowledged and sincerely apologised for which was again unexpected yet great customer service.
The menu for the evening meal was varied and the food was tasty and excellent quality.
The room was clean, comfortable, well equipped and allowed a restful nights sleep.
There was an inexplicable delay between starter and main course, at the evening meal but this was acknowledged by the server but when it came was worth the wait.
The breakfast however was to my mind a disaster. We ordered a starter - both my wife and I requested a pot of yoghurt which then took almost 20 minutes to arrive! The breakfast staff weren't particularly friendly nor were they particularly busy so the delays appeared inexplicable.
My wife ordered smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on an English muffin for her main- it eventually arrived poorly presented and extremely dry and not at all appetising. I ordered a full English breakfast which upon arrival was largely inedible due to hard, dry bacon, hard, dry and chewy sausages and a 6mm thick black pudding slice that was also dry. I'm guessing they'd been prepared in advance - well in advance!
The breakfast was extremely disappointing and took the shine off an overall lovely stay.

Tremendous emphasis from all staff to make your stay enjoyable. Very high level of customer service. Central location in historic Beverley in buildings full of character.
You will find cheaper hotels but they will not beat this one for value.
Nothing at all

Good food. Very pleasant staff. Good tea. Excellent environment. Easy check-in and check-out. All staff we met at all times pleasant, polite and very helpful. Excellent location.
It seemed as though the kitchen was short of staff. There were long wait times between ordering food and having it arrive both at breakfast and dinner and staff shortage would explain this. A result of Brexit, no doubt, where our European friends and employees had to leave due to a country which didn’t value them sufficiently. Let’s hope things get better with better leadership for it affects everything.

3rd visit. Vg
Room far too small. We had booked the cheapest not realising how small it would be.Will be going back but will book bigger room
4.0
The bedrooms. Quality products. Outside seating area.
The continental breakfast was not of the standard I would expect of 5 star. Not buffet style and no pastries only a croissant and that was served to the table. No alternative to butter. Making your own toast . Serving parma ham with eggs benedict. Bit of a let down.

Great location, facilities in room were good.
Breakfast was a little bit slow to arrive when ordered.
4.5
Lovely room and lovely welcome. We found all the staff without exception very pleasant and willing to go the extra mile, particularly in reception
We were unlucky with the menu choices. Two which I would have eaten were no longer on offer as was one for my husband. However we found the ones we chose were fine just not what we would have ideally liked.

Beautiful room, delicious dinner, fab location and excellent staff.
4.5
Room was lovely with great facilities and I especially liked the pillow menu which meant my preference for a firm memory foam type pillow was met. Shower was fab as were the heavy blackout curtains( with a sheer option) Breakfast was delicious. Parking felt secure and is a must in town
Only a small point really but the bathroom was a little lacking towel rail options or a hook to hang a robe. When dining in the evening our tea at the end of the meal was pot of tea for two, which really was too small, so when we requested some more please we were charged for another single tea which is really just one more tea bag….seemed a bit petty.

excellent breakfast and evening dinner. Staff were helpful, kind and dedicated. Wonderful terrace room with excellent facilities. The hotel is in the centre of Beverley its position is enviably good. A thoroughly enjoyable experience as in out previous visits.
I had no complaints. It would be struggle to imagine a fault let alone experience one. Do not ask me to write 3 sentences on faults when there were none. This is the best I can do to move the green effort bar to the right hand side
