About this house rental
Stella Mare (Sea Star) cabin is a quaint, charming cape cod home with simple luxury yet only 1.5 blocks from the beach! It is exactly what you would expect from a beach house retreat. It sits in a perfect little town to enjoy walking the beach, clam digging, beach combing and amazing sunsets. There is a pristine, walking-only beach, with a great peaceful vibe. In addition, there are always great kites to enjoy and a kite shop in town if you decide to try it yourself! Bring the family & enjoy!
The space
Stella Mare is a stylish beach cabin that is your home away from home! It has two bedrooms and one batbroom downstairs. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and bedroim two has twin bunk beds + a trundle (for 3 singles) which gives great options for guests sleeping quarters. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink. There is a huge master suite upstairs with king bed, walk-in closet, clawfoot tub and peek-a-boo ocean views. The house has a large front-porch, fire pit and charcoal grill to extend the vacation to the outside as well. We also have games available so you can soak up the sun and ocean breezes as you play bocce ball or horseshoes in the large, fully-fenced front yard.
Bring your dogs and have a great open space for them to soak up the sun and enjoy vacation with you!
In addition, for security, there is parking inside the fence for two cars and a parking pad in the back for a third car.
There are plenty of activities at the beach, besides building sand castles and flying kites, you can walk to the shops in downtown Pacific Beach, drive 1-mile up the road to Seabrook and enjoy their amenities - restaurants and shops - or drive only 30 miles to Lake Quinault or the Hoh rainforest. Whether you are staying a day or a week, you will absolutely enjoy your stay at Stella Mare!

Guests have access to two 50" TVs, ready for your personal streaming, Internet access and full use of the house. We have provided a Keurig and a drip coffee maker for your caffeine fix, toaster, pots/pans and all the appliances you would expect in a working kitchen/laundry - stove, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washer and dryer. There is a bathtub in the master bath and shower downstairs. There is access to the games and books in the house. Whatever you feel like doing, you can find it here.

Cute, functional, and perfect location. We had a quick trip out to the beach to play in the waves. Kitchen was well stocked, beds comfortable, and location perfect for getting out and on the beach easily.

Easy walk to the beach. Kitchen is very well stocked. We stayed in the upstairs space which is huge and the bed was very comfy. It is set back from the road which was nice and made it more private. Lovely to sit out on the front porch in the morning for coffee and reading. Overall a great space. We had our 91 year old father with us and the downstairs walk in shower was perfect for him. I wouldn't hesitate to reserve this lovely cottage again next time we are in the area.

We enjoyed our short, but fun stay at Stella Mare. The cottage was a short walk to the beach, close to shops and restaurants in Seabrook, and only a couple hours from the Hoh Rain Forest in Olympic National Park. It was a great start to our trip to the Pacific Northwest!

We had a wonderful time at this delightful beach house! The property is well-suited for a couple of families with children we especially enjoyed having the large, fenced front yard for playing. The fire pit out front was great for our roasting evening and the front porch had plenty of seating. The kitchen is well-equipped and easy to work in. We also appreciated the second fridge on the back porch.
All-in-all, it’s a very nicely set-up accommodation that we very much enjoyed! Thanks for making this lovely place available for our long-overdue family reunion!

Really enjoyed our recent stay. Weather wasn't the best but we still had fun by the fire pit and on the beach. We appointed place and it was very clean and cute. Only complaint is the beds are hard as rocks. I got very little sleep because of it. Other than that, great place!

The house was perfect for our family to gather - a spacious, clean kitchen, plenty of space for the 5 of us, plus our daughter's dog, and close to the beach for walking and kite flying. We used the firepit and enjoyed an evening making s'mores. Communication with Jo was timely and friendly, very helpful. We would definitely stay again!

Overall I would say our stay was just ok. Had the description of this place been a little more accurate we might have passed. It’s described as a “luxury beach home”. In our estimation, and opinion, we would call this more very rustic beach home, having stayed in more luxurious beach homes in the past. The positives were a fenced yard for our dogs which we appreciated along with being dog friendly. The staircase in this home is downright dangerous for older or young kids, and dogs. If you planned on grilled food here it’s a tabletop small grill so be prepared. It was just ok.

Our family had a great time here. The home is darling, well-equipped, and very comfy for our family of four plus dog. We love this tiny beach town, and would definitely stay in this home again.

Super comfortable, clean, and cute home, provided most every amenity. Just a skip to the ocean. Really enjoyed our stay and would stay again without question. Great home. Host thought of most everything to make our stay enjoyable!

Charming and very clean cottage near beautiful beach.
This property truly is adorable. Very clean cottage with extremely charming vibe made for a wonderful getaway. The walk to the beach is an easy and lovely one. The kitchen is well equipped and they even supply loads of coffee which is such a nice touch. We were there during a cold snap and the hot water pipes were frozen but the owner did everything she could to help us out and was very responsive to any communication. The town is very quaint and the beach very quiet; a lovely spot and beautiful comfy home.

Great time at the beach!
We had a great stay at this house, which had everything we could ask for. It's just a short walk to the beach and the little coffee shop down the way is a short walk for morning coffee. We enjoyed playing on the beach, walking our dog, playing bocce ball and horseshoes in the yard, and spending some relaxing time just hanging out. We would definitely recommend this house and would visit again.

Fun and relaxing beach getaway
This property has a lovely beach feel and fun, fresh decor. Our kids loved the bunk beds and room. It was charming, quiet and close to the beach and we lucked out with sunny weather all week. The fire pit made for nice fires under the stars. Jo, the host was super helpful throughout, answering my various questions before and during the trip. The wifi allowed me to work remotely while enjoying time with my family.

Cute beach home
Home is as described. Fridge came stocked with condiments and a few other essentials. Front yard was great for our dog who enjoyed running around and smelling the ocean breeze. This home is super close to the beach and is one of the better kept homes in the area. We enjoyed the fire pit. It is a great home away from home.

Great weekend getaway!
We had such a wonderful weekend staying at the Stella Mare! Jo made our first VRBO experience such a great one. She was flexible with our dates- due to an unexpected snow storm and she made rescheduling so easy. The cottage was adorable and so close to the beach! Everyone in the family loved it and want to go back! Thank you for a much needed, relaxing weekend! It felt like home away from home!

Plenty of space in a beautifully decorated bungalow! Appreciated the kitchen to be able to avoid dining out during the pandemic. Location is perfect and very near to beach access! Check in and out was a breeze!

Loved our stay at this cute little house. Communication with Jo was good. Do wish it had a view, but the price makes up for it and it is just a short walk to the beach.

Cozy getaway
Upon entering this property we were very impressed with the decor and how homey it was and how it made us feel right at home. It was clean and fully furnished. It was just the two of us but it would make a wonderful family getaway. The neighborhood is quiet and it is just a short walk to a great beach. This property is a true winner.
