Perfect tranquillity in an idyllic setting to unwind and relax.

The location was perfect. Pure tranquillity, peaceful, off the beaten track. Set in luxurious bush lands, on a hill with only the bird's occasional calls to break the stillness. The bed was perfect. A huge, warm and comfortable bed, enveloped me at night. The house was perfect. The kitchen was very well equipped with high end appliances. the bathroom was cosy with under floor heating and spacious. Loved the bath. The outdoor space was perfect. Near the main house but not in view with a spacious outdoor setting and comfy chairs overlooking a valley of trees. No sounds of cars or other people.

The Pear Cottage is the perfect home away from home. Not only is the cottage spotlessly clean, but, it’s very comfortable with much thought put into what guests need and enjoy. The hosts, Gavin and Lyn are lovely people who take much pride in their property and providing the perfect getaway. The cottage is only 10 minutes from Port Arthur and other attractions are close by. There’s two small supermarkets only five minutes drive away, which is very convenient.

Beautifully restored worker's cottage with all mod cons

We loved the location, history, restoration and fitout of the cottage. It was very comfortable, cosy and clean.. the bed was very comfortable and we loved the shower and under floor heating. Would recommend to others that enjoy wildlife and birdlife and being surrounded by bush. A special place ☺️

We really enjoyed our stay at Pear Cottage it contained everything we needed. We had the best night sleep in very comfortable beds lots of wood for the open fire and the added bonus of underfloor heating in the bathroom.

There is nothing we didn't like.

The cottage is cozy and stylishly furnished. Well equipped kitchen with breakfast provisions. Beautiful bathroom, cosy fireplace and excellent heating for our chilly stay. Hosts are available if needed, had a great chat about the history of local area and property. Close to port Arthur and capes walks. 10/10

Out 10What a fantastic little treasure tucked away in Port Arthur's hinterland. The house is craftsman finished right down to the heated bathroom floor. A must stay if you're looking for accommodation in Port Arthur area. 10 out of 10.

Farmhouse Luxe

A super cute and comfortable place to stay. I really appreciated the luxuries like the bathtub, heated floors, the amazing king size beds and the dishwasher! The teens really appreciated the streaming services too. Really a top tier accommodation. Short drive to multiple beaches for snorkelling. We had a lovely time.

Beautiful cottage in the woods

Cozy, quaint, historical, warm and spotlessly clean. An amazing bathroom and lovely heated floor.

Everything was absolutely perfect. Only fault was that I didn't stay long enough there to finish one of the jigsaws on the book shelf.

Most relaxing and cosiest home!

We loved everything about this property and the hosts. Gavin and Lyn were so friendly, helpful and accomodating as well as being fun! The cottage really was the cosiest place we have stayed. It was warm, welcoming, fully equipped and spotlessly clean. The location is stunning with easy access to many day hikes and parks. We stayed for a week but could easily have stayed for longer. We will be back!

Everything! Fully renovated and everything thought of - lots of space, comfy beds, block out blinds, great kitchen and bathroom, continental breaky, beautiful location and view... we loved it.
