Great location we had teenagers and they didn’t like the fact it didn’t have air conditioning 😜. My wife and I were fine. Great location on the beach with a walking path that goes 4-5miles

The owners Linda and Tom are amazing and so welcoming! Every accomodation provided with the house if very thoughtful. We had a wonderful time and will definitely stay here again in the future.

The home was perfect for our needs. It is centrally located for our adventures. We did zip lining, hiking, and a high speed raft cave of the Napali coast. All were 30 min or less from the house. One of our days we just spent on the beach right in front of the house. Great food trucks, annd Java Kai are just steps away. The bar close by does have live music at night on the weekend but it wasn’t really that bothersome at all.
Mahalo, until next time!

The hosts were friendly, down to earth and very accommodating. Living right next door they gave us total privacy but were available if we needed anything. We had all the comforts of home within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. We highly recommend this Cozy Bungalow and breakfast at the Kountry Kitchen (quaint little cafe) just a short walk down the main street.

Six of us spent two weeks here and it was absolutely perfect. Way beyond our expectations. Tom and Linda are such gracious hosts. The home is in a prime location, just steps away to the boardwalk and beach walking distance to restaurants, shopping etc.
we loved every minute of it. Mahalo

Close to everything: stores, restaurants, beach. We felt like locals while we were staying there, especially with all the roosters, hens and chicks

Outstanding home! Excellent location, a lot of charm. And the owners are very nice.

This was the perfect location to explore Kapaa (simply walking from the house!) and the East side. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The home and location was beautiful and more peaceful than we could have imagined. We had everything we could need for our family of 2 adults and 2 teens. If we are lucky enough to revisit Kauai, this gem will be on our list to revisit!

This is a great place to stay and close to the shops & beach. Airport not far away also. Would stay again.

Our stay was wonderful. Tom and Linda were so welcoming. The house is in the perfect location for accessing all the island has to offer and we felt so comfortable during our stay.

We had a group of 6 college friends and the house was very accommodating for all of us. The location is fantastic with the beach and Kapaa town a short distance away. Linda was such a kind host who always greeted us with a big smile.

This house is located so the ocean is just a walk across the lawn and can be viewed from the living room and the large and well-furnished balcony.
The owners, Linda and Tom, were very kind and welcoming, and excellent hosts who live in their house on the same property.
The house is just one block from the main street through old town Kapaa, so you’re close to restaurants and small shops. Safeway is a short distance by car and very convenient for groceries.
The Ke Ala Hele Makalae bike/walking path is between the property and the beach. We enjoyed being able to walk the path everyday and see more of the beautiful scenery, and that included easy accessibility for a family member using a wheelchair. We also rented bikes one day and rode to the end of the path, which is about 9 miles round trip with very gradual uphill climb up, and downhill for most of the return. We’re in our 60’s and it took us 1.5 hours without rushing. We rented from the place just across the street, but there are several in town.
We would definitely return to this property again in the future!

Larger, cleaner, and nearer ocean than expected. Wished for air conditioning a couple of days but understand that A/C is rare on Kauai. Great accommodation and location. Perfect for two families.

We enjoyed our stay at this property very much. It was a great location to visit both sides of the island. The home fit out family perfectly with plenty of room for everyone. Tom and Linda were great to work with. We enjoyed Kauai and would love to stay at this property again.

This house was just what we needed for a multigenerational vacation. We absolutely loved it, and were torn between hanging out enjoy down time at the house and exploring the island. The hosts were super helpful and very kind. Wish we could have gotten to know them better, but island explorations were calling. Even the smallest of details in the garden, typed instructions, and selected artwork made this home a delight. We were grateful for this opportunity to stay in a comfortable home in a beautiful setting. We could not ask for a better location. If we can ever come back to Kauai, we will stay here.

Super clean, had everything we needed. Steps from the beach and amazing restaurants, coffee, food trucks. Good central location for visiting both sides of the island. Tom and Linda were super sweet and accommodating. 10/10. Will definitely stay here again. Can’t believe it was only $300ish a night.

We had high hopes from the photos that came with the listing and they were spot on. The location was perfect for access to anything on the island, especially the beach. The house is beautiful and very well maintained. By the time our stay was over my spouse and I were trying to figure out how we could send our children back home and the two of us stay!

What a great time. Check in and out was really easy. House was great. 2 floors with 2 separate sitting rooms. 3 bedrooms. 2 with queen beds and and 1 with 2 singles. You can sit on the upper deck and see the ocean. They had chairs, boogie boards, snorkeling gear and more to use at the beach. The beach is awesome. Perfect for swimming or snorkeling. The house is very private, but all the stores and anything you would need is only a 5 to10 min walk.

Linda and Tom were awesome hosts. Very accommodating. We spent a month in the turtle house and loved every minute. The location is perfect and the house was great for family coming in and out. Would love to come back. Thank you Tom and Linda.

I truly love Kauai, and we have been so happy with this location. It is perfect for eating out, shopping, hiking, walking, biking, enjoying the beach and view, and going on excursions to the north and south. The house itself is very comfortable and truly a home, and Tom and Linda are gracious and friendly hosts. Be prepared for some early mornings with the chickens and street noise. It got us up to see the beautiful sunrise. We plan to return next year.

This was a comfortable place to stay for 4 adults. Wonderful location, views and hosts. We ended up getting married on the front lawn. Tom and Linda were.the best hosts we have ever had at a VRBO location. They were very helpful and accommodating. We will try to stay at this place again.

This home surpassed all of our expectations! We loved staying at Tom and Linda's beautiful Honu Hale Kai (Turtle House by the Sea), we only wished we had planned to stay longer than 3 days.
The home is located walking distance to everything including the beach (your own private entrance!), shops, restaurants, groceries, even Starbuck! The home itself is lovely with so many personal touches that make it so comfortable - and the layout worked perfectly for our 4 people, but it could accommodate more.
We took full advantage of the beautiful beach only steps away and also enjoyed many hours spent in our beautiful private garden and upstairs porch with a view of the ocean.
Tom and Linda were so wonderful and helpful and available if needed - we truly enjoyed getting to know you!
I know this home will be at the top of our list next time we come to Kauai, we'll just make sure we book for a much longer time. Mahalo!!!

Great 4 weeks on the beach in Kapaa Hawaii. Just steps to a sandy beach with sun, an ocean surf, and trade winds to keep it cool even in the 80s and 90s’ the house was walking distance to all the shops and Restaurants in Kapaa. The only negative was the noise at night of the hustle and bustle of Main Street (music from bars, sound of traffic and of course roosters crowing all day and night). Positives far outplayed the negatives

This property exceeded our expectations. The perfect place to stay with family. The balcony was the perfect place to wake up in the morning and to wind down at night. The beach closet had everything we could ever need to enjoy the beach. The location was walking distance to so many great food places! The hosts were extremely friendly and hospitable!

We enjoyed our stay very much! It was a perfect location for the island. Centrally located for travel in either direction. We were one house from the beach with private access. The house had everything we needed and more with the beach chairs and towels! I would not hesitate to rent this house again. It was comfortable and so much more laid back than a resort type rental. Thanks so much Linda and Tom!

We've stayed here multiple times and enjoyed it every time. It's a great size house for our group of 3 couples, since we spend most of our time outside.
It's ideally located so that we can drive to any other part of the island in under an hour. It's also nice to be adjacent to a great walking path, walkable shops, restaurants, bars, and coffee--as well as just stones throw away from the ocean.
