Perfect stop on our tour round France would definitely return and recommend

Good location with good views hosts Paul and Daniel are very friendly and welcoming hosts couldn’t do enough for you they gave great recommendations on local places to visit and restaurants and organised a fantastic hot air balloon ride

A truly wonderful stay filled with fun, laughter and joy.

We loved staying at Chevalier Noir in the beautiful town of Cordes - Sur- Ciel. It's so perfectly located for exploring on foot the pretty cobbled streets and stunning medieval buildings, shops, bars and restaurants. Paul and Daniel were superb hosts and made us feel so welcome on arrival and throughout are three night stay, giving us advice on where to go and what to do and also recommended a couple of excellent restaurants in and near Cordes. Paul also cooked a delicious three course supper for us on the Sunday evening which was excellent. The view from the terrace is breathtakingly beautiful and so was the view from our very comfortable bedroom window. The swimming pool was a big bonus, we enjoyed a refreshing swim on the hotter days and relaxed on the sun beds with our holiday reads. Perfect....

Simply the best

We have the best stay of our trip in Chevalier Noir We been visiting South of France with many stops The place is outstanding, incredible views, the best spots in Cordes sur ciel , excellent as a base to go around and visiting villages, vineyards and the beauty of the area Easy to park The room has lot of space, comfortable beds and pillows and bathrooms remodeled. Everything is impecable beautiful and the decor has a great taste Breakfast was delicious and they accommodate to our specific needs outside over looking the view, paradise But the most outstanding are the hosts, Paul and Daniel Not enough words and compliments to them, caring, friendly, happy, always present, great advices and help to plan our days, help with reservations,They accommodate to our needs, even they prepare a fabulous dinner with the other guests. great B&B with a short walk into the centre of village

super location in the village close to all amenities, our hosts served up a great breakfast, and the facilities were really clean. lovely pool.

we would have liked a chest of drawers or a shelf in the room to put our clothes on or a suitcase stand.

Warm ambience , welcoming host , wonderful property and town

wonderfully situated with panoramic views of the Tarn Valley, and a fine stately house that was much more ‘home’ than hotel especially given the attention to service that Paul the host put in and the comfort of the sitting and dining rooms. Eating breakfast on the terrace given the warm Autumnal weather was a bonus . Bedrooms with great linen and very comfortable meant 2 nights of good sleep despite the impact of fine French red wine

the pool is fabulous but given the time of year has cooled off a bit - so just looking at it from the terrace and having extra croissants was too much of a temptation

Absolutely beautiful hosts, house and location.

The location is absolutely stunning. Rarely have we been in a place with such a splendid view. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful. The food is exquisite. We had so much fun and we were pampered. We loved every moment of our stay.

The noisy neighbours next door but not much the hosts could do about it.

Relaxing oasis with a fabulous pool, in a stunning location with super hosts close to all amenities!

Where to start! The hosts Daniel and Paul were the best. The view, the room, the pool, the garden, the location, the food, the entertainment, everything was amazing and made our holiday something special. Stay longer if you can, you will be sad to leave!

Utterly divine — we will be back

Le Chevalier Noir was one of the best B&B’s we have ever stayed at. Paul and Daniel went above and beyond to give us the most perfect weekend. It honestly felt like staying with (very hospitable and culinary) friends. From preparing us the most delicious breakfasts each day (at whatever time suited), to planning us an amazing itinerary, to handling all our reservations. The place itself is equally spectacular: it has the most phenomenal views and is very tastefully appointed. The house is also a short walk from the main restaurants and bars, making for a very convenient stay.

The setting was stunning, an amazing view over the fabulous countryside surrounding this exceptional bastide town, and the property was delightful. Wonderful hospitality in a charming village.

Hosts were welcoming, generous and helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate our diet and even made us a delicious vegan poke bowl one night for dinner (look for Paul's Poke to open this summer in the village). They checked in regularly to make sure we were comfortable and happy, offered sightseeing recommendations and generally made us feel at home. The property has a lovely view of the valley, nice pool and comfortable rooms.

The only issue was finding the place, which was really our fault as we didn't load directions ahead of time. The old city is restricted from driving so be sure and map how to get there! it's not difficult if you plan.

Exceptional!

Le Chevalier Noir is beautifully positioned in the stunning hill town of Cordes-Sur-Ciel. We had a beautiful room with spectacular views across the Tarn countryside. The rooms were spotlessly clean and breakfast on the terrace was always a treat.

A difficult question to answer but maybe a small fridge in the rooms would be welcome to keep drinks cold.

Beyond wonderful!

I could not have asked for a better place to stay while in the south of France! Waking up here was like being in a fairy tale. Go for the views but stay for the amazing hospitality that Paul and Daniel offered. I can’t wait to come back here again. Just hoping it’s sooner rather than later.

Great experience!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chevalier Noir. Daniel and Paul were amazing, really kind hostesses! they gave us excellent advise about other towns we should visit nearby. Their house is beautiful, the room and bed are very comfortable and the views are incredible. We were very sad to leave and we hope to come back.
