The host did an amazing job making sure all our needs were met. The place was fantastic!

The location was absolutely stunning right on the water. Close to everything and anything you can think of.
I believe that we were the first ones for the season the house wasn’t as clean as we expected so we cleaned.
But the property manager was very kind and communicative.
I would stay again. But remember it’s a cottage.
The only other thing is it needs some throw rugs in the bedroom just because the floor is a little cold on your feet. And some dish towels would be helpful also

7 nite stay at this cottage. Location is awesome. Cottage is, a cottage. Patio is right on the water and large. Maintenance of the property needs improvement. Weeds in concrete patio in every crack. 20 min.
Job would be huge improvement. More time spent on patio, so that space needs work.

Very peaceful, relaxing vacation. Cute place, quiet neighborhood! Beautiful views! The beach is a little rocky, definitely need beach shoes, but the water is clear. We would definitely rent this place again.

Nice place comfortable beds but rest of furniture need an upgrade or the best to sit on outside furniture was old and also needs an update husband sat down on wicker couch that looks nice but fell through when he picked up cushion there was nothing underneath can be dangerous, water was nice wish we had water shoes lots of shells and rocks

Property was great, loved being so close to the water. The cottage is really cute and comfortable. plenty of outdoor seating. One suggestion entrance could use a grab rail outside and a rail inside for individuals with mobility issues due to step ups.

Upon entering there was a musty smell and the cottage appeared to not have been cleaned as there was dirt and sand on the floors and the linnens were also musty smelling, airing out the house was necessary but not all the windows had screens , the toilet seat was not fastened to the toilet and i had to tighten the seat nuts before it could be used , there were damp rid buckets and moisture soaking pellets under the furniture and some were leaking fluids which had to be cleaned up a few times during our stay , the property was conveniently located on the beach and the neighbors were very hospitable which was what made the issues inside bearable , all in all I think the property location was great but some attention to the cleanliness is needed , my experience rating 6/10

We arrived to the property at nearly 6 PM. Traffic was awful that day, and it was a very long ride in the car. Upon arrival we got the key as indicated, walked in, put our things away and went to dinner. When leaving we came to realize that the door would not lock. I contacted the property manager who did reach out but we had gone to dinner. I sent him a text message later that evening and we spoke the following morning. He came to fix the issue and was unable to. His maintenance man then came to fix the door and was also unable to fix the lock. They then decided to switch the lock from the sliding bedroom door with the broken lock on the main sliding door. Fine, at least the main door has a locking mechanism. I didn’t complain. Later that same day I go to use the microwave to pop some popcorn. There are flames and sparks literally shooting inwards from the side of the microwave. I’d post proof but VRBO reviews do not allow for that. When I contacted the host again he basically said, bad luck, don’t continue to use it. Follow forward to this evening, a couple of weeks after our stay. I’d been meaning to inquire about a discount for the inconvenience that we experienced during our visit. The following is the response that I received: Wow ! when I arrived to look at the lock it was clear to me and my maintenance guy that someone, like an unsupervised child leaned heavy on the inside latch and broke the lock. Also the microwave was working fine. What probably happen was the same unsupervised child you know the same one that was not on the reservation originally "probably put a metal item in there and broke it. I discussed with my partners putting in a damage claim to VRBO. You have some nerve lady. If this is the way you're going to be on this platform not being upfront about who's going to be staying at a host property, breaking items and then wanting to be compensated because they didn't work you've got a lot to learn. Don't bother me again with this crap.. go ahead and leave me a bad review but just remember those reviews go both ways. I'm shocked at your audacity shocked! - You can say wow, alright! First of all, I didn’t realize that our 7 year old son was not on the reservation. That is absolutely my fault, the broken lock and microwave, so NOT! Word to the wise, unless you want to be accused of being a thief, liar and bad parent, this may not be the stay for you. Go ahead with your threats David and write your review.

Location is wonderful for a summer visit, but a few items fell short to make the place perfect. The most difficult was not having any access to water on the outside of the property. As most of your time is spent enjoying the beach, it was really difficult keeping your feet clean as you came in and out of the house. With that being said, I still found it to be a wonderful stay for our family.

It's a cute little cabin in a quiet neighborhood on a nice beach.
We enjoyed the sun and the water very much. I kayaked several days. Most of the amenities were as stated and Dave was very nice. Beds were comfortable enough and clean sheets and towels. Kitchen was fine. They put out coffee pods for our use which was kind. Doesn't really have cable TV like I have ever seen, so you don't have access to many normal channels if you want to watch any network shows. You can access some streaming through it though, if you have accounts. We brought our own fire stick. The issue we had was that there are no comfortable chairs to sit on inside. We both have back issues, so that was rough. The seating outside is great, but inside are hard chairs and a worn-out futon. Kitchen table is bar height with small chairs, and we didn't feel comfortable sitting there to eat or play cards, etc... We almost brought the outside chairs in, but they are a bit big to fit and we thought they might scratch the nice floors. We ended up watching TV from the beds in the evenings and rainy days. Overall, it was fine, but a little too expensive for the comfort level. I have paid much less for much more. Dave did give us some money off due to the road work without us even asking. Which was really nice, but still cost twice as much as our last beachfront rental in Fairhaven. I rented it anyway as it was the last beachfront rental left in town when I booked. Probably better for younger, skinnier people with good backs. :)

My sister was visiting from abroad and we booked this cottage for a sisters getaway since we have not seen each other since 2018. I got a message on Thursday morning (the day our vacation was starting) that the town was doing some road work nearby and the access road to the cottage would be blocked for Friday but there was parking on nearby streets. I then got another message that there was a water issue and that my booking was cancelled and my money would be refunded in 3-15 business days. Oh and all this was in messages on the app. No phone call or text. If I had not opened to check the address before we drove, we would never have known UN till we got to the cottage. I have never been this disappointed. I had to quickly change all my plans. Am still upset and disappointed.

We really enjoyed our short stay. At high tide, when you step off the patio, you're only a few feet from the water, I liked coming out and searching for sea glass and shells in the morning before my husband and daughter were up and about. Beautiful sunrises, too.
The cottage had all of the basics, which was great. It was nice not to have to worry about towels and linens like we have at other rentals. The shower is tiny, but has amazing water pressure and nice hot water, so that made up for it. The one thing I would change is to put in seating that is more comfy for lounging inside. It wasn't a huge deal for us, since this was mainly a home base while we explored different areas, but for some, I could see it being an issue.
Oh, I also had to google the complicated stove to figure out how to use it, so maybe instructions would be helpful to have.
Overall, it was a lovely stay in a nice, quiet location. It's close enough to shops and restaurants, and decent driving distance to Cape Cod, Salem, and many other areas of interest. The owner was very nice and replied quickly to questions.

My wife and I stayed here during late November for some Autumn Northeast hiking. The property was very clean and well maintained. The views from the front porch are excellent and the house is pretty close to everything. Great time.

Small cabin situated on the ocean. Stunning views, and starry nights, plenty of sun and sea, walk on the beach brings you to Fort Phoenix. Spotless interior, well equipped. Great for a couple.

We loved our stay at this little home. Beautiful views, comfy beds, everything you need to get by. Nothing fancy, just right. Dave was super accommodating and friendly to our family. We had two adults and two kids, 6 and 3. Got a little cramped at the end but totally worth it!

Fantastic property on the ocean. Small but comfortable well worth the value. Will definitely use the VRBO host again when in the area

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. For us, it was the perfect accommodation for what was a nostalgic trip back to Fairhaven. It was clean and had everything we needed, including that magically soothing water view.
Dave was a great and responsive property manager. We had a couple of issues with the internet disconnecting and the power going out in the bathroom but Dave walked us through both situations.

You will not meet anyone better than Dave! He goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is excellent! I will be a lifelong renter from Dave at his properties!

Nice cozy peaceful spot furnished with all that was needed. We really enjoyed our stay, only wished it was longer! Thanks so much!

Perfect spot for a couple or small family.
If you like looking for shells this is the place.
Place was clean and as described. Has all you need, and in a quiet neighborhood.
Bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in a long time.
The host Dave was responsive to any questions we had.

We have rented on Sconticut Neck in past years (with a larger group) and realized the most important thing to us was being right on the water. Found this place and warned our smaller group (my husband, daughter & brother) that it was significantly smaller but it exceeded our expectations. The cottage is equipped with everything you could possibly need and the ergonomic use of space was impressive, even to my husband who is an engineer. The view was amazing so we didn’t need to run around a lot to feel like we were on vacation. And the biggest bonus is that we could walk to Margaret’s for breakfast, to see the sunset from Fort Phoenix, or just take a morning walk through the beautiful surrounding neighborhood. Highly recommend for a small group (3-4). My 60-year-old brother slept in the alcove but it would be perfect for a teenager.

Can't wait to go back - what a little gem of a spot - could not get enough of the view and spending every moment on the large patio soaking in the ocean right in front of us , sea breeze and moonlit nights. Dave the PM was like having family check in and made sure we were happy. - Place was clean, relaxing and didn't want to leave!

The cottage was perfect! Plenty of room inside with anything we needed to cook and grill. The patio is huge and right on the beach. David, the property manager, was very helpful and we were blessed with fantastic weather. We'll be back!

This was the perfect place for me to retreat to after working 12 hour days as a travel nurse on assignment in MA. The view was beautiful, so relaxing and peaceful. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Location was near just about anything you needed. The local eateries were fabulous! Highly recommend The Little Village cafe, Fathoms, Black Whale, and so much more. David was the perfect property manager, always getting back to me quick and efficient. I hope to visit again in the future. Thank you for such an awesome experience!

I dont understand the service fee. I book two different times and I would think the percentage they charge for service is same ....but....it is not?????? One time 13% and another time 10%???
