The place is beautiful, very close to Bayeux. The hosts are super nice and super helpful. They did an amazing job with their place.
We would totally recommend this place and stay here again.

Bayeux is a great town and the perfect spot to explore Normandy. D-day beaches are easily accessible
The property is small but comfortable. Sleeping and bathing are upstairs and the kitchen is small but we did not find it to be a problem
The host, Christophe is very accommodating and helpful when needed

We stayed here for four nights in September 2023. We travelled to Bayeux by train. This location is close to the Bayeux rail station. The site is very special. We will fondly remember the early evenings sitting outside our accommodation in the inner courtyard. The accommodation is excellent. The kitchen is compact but has a small fridge, two burners and a microwave. A good selection of kitchen wares is available to use. The bathroom (located on the upper level adjacent to the bedroom) is large. We made use of the drying rack above the tub after handwashing a few items. Christophe and Veronique are considerate and helpful hosts. Directions and access to the property and the accommodation's front door were accurate and easy to follow. Thanks for sharing your property (and your fruit), Christophe and Veronique!

The manor grounds are beautiful and the little bakery was perfect for or stay in Bayeux. Christophe was a kind welcoming host with great information and instructions on how to get there.

A lovely space to stay and visit the beaches and Bayeux! Be sure to walk the path along the river and catch the evening show at the cathedral in the summertime. Perfectly located, unique property and with a great host!

The location was really convenient and Christophe was very helpful and welcoming. Apartment was great. We didn't do any meal preparation. Only downside was the shower was a bathtub with a hand held shower attachment. Worked for a couple days stay but I wouldn't want to do shower that was for a week. All in all, this is a really charming and special accommodation.

Absolutely STUNNING place to stay! It is an old walled estate which was meticulously restored over a 14 year period (!). Walking to Bayeux centre is about 15 minutes.

This was a perfect location to experience Normandy!
Bayeaux is a great pedestrian town, and our hosts were wonderful. Many day trips to D-Day sites, Giverny, Mont St. Michel, and Rouen were possible because of the central location of the property.
Our site, a lovingly restored bakery in an historic farm manor was charming, clean and everything we had expected.

It's lovely and peaceful, yet in close proximity to historic Bayeux center, the beaches of Normandy, and many other areas.

I’m telling all my traveling friends about this place. This was an historic property that was a page out of royal estates. We had an absolutely memorable time. Very close to the D-Day beaches and Mount St. Micheal. Our host was very personable and helpful. We would not hesitate to book here again.

Absolutely charming--ideal for a short stay.

My son (9) and i stayed at the property for a week having previously lived in Normandy some years ago.
It easily rates as one of the nicest places i have every stayed on any holiday, and Christophe was a great host who could not do enough to help.
A truly unique property in a unique setting. And perfect for exploring the Normandy coast. We had a wonderful week.

Tremendous character property
Rented the old bakery in a beautifully restored 17th Century walled farm. Total character property. Really clean, secure, quiet although an easy walk to Bayeux. Super hosts - Christophe and Veronique - fount of local knowledge. Wonderful garden / grounds to stroll in. Looking forward to returning!

Magnificent
We loved this stay in the former bakery of a country estate. It is roomy and has character, clean. It’s only a mile from Bayeux, a nice walk, so we parked the car for most of our stay. The kitchen is tiny, but you only need it for breakfast - too many nice restaurants in town. Christophe is a gracious host. We didn’t get to use the tennis court. Just as well, since I’ve not played since I was a kid. A wonderful spot, We highly recommend.

Wonderful
Absolutely wonderful, the manor was beautiful, quiet. The owner met us and introduced himself, and gave us a great tip on a walking trail to Bayuex. Everything was as expected and more. Highly recommend.

Amazing place, amazing host
This place is absolutely amazing. The place has been carefully restored and the property is incredible. Christophe was the perfect host, there to help and provide information about the property and the region. A perfect base from which to explore the region. Will definitely be looking to stay here again on our next trip to Normandy.

Bayeaux
This is a beautiful property with great privacy. Very well located if you are headed to the beaches of Normandy. One word of caution. I am a 76-year old guy. I had a hip replacement about a year ago so I was fine. But if you have serious knee or hip problems, please be aware that the bedroom and bathroom are up some narrow winding stairs. Otherw, come and enjoy

Special unique place
Three of us stayed in the old refurbished bakery. My brother left after four days to go home to the US but we stayed on because my husband was ill. It’s a great location even without a car if you want to walk into Bayeux. You can also take a bus which is geared to school children at certain hours to get to the bigger grocery stores.
Christophe and Veronique are very special hosts. We will remember this wonderful place forever.

A dream stay
This property and its owners are amazing. To stay in a place that has history hundreds of years old is a treat. We bought wine and cheese and sat outside every afternoon before dinner in the courtyard. At night it is lit up beautifully.
We walked on an “off the beaten path” path to get to Bayeux center to dinner. We would definitely stay there again and do not hesitate to recommend it to others. The location was perfect.

Beautiful property
Amazing stay with wonderful hosts! The bakery converted into a lodge makes for a cozy getaway in Bayeux. The property itself is beautiful, historic, and consists an enchanting composition of the chateau, surrounding gardens, horse paddock, and woods in the back. Highly recommend!

Lovely converted boulangerie
My son and I really enjoyed staying in this quaint historic cottage. The history of it as well as the farm manor house added to the charm of the place. Christophe was very hospitable, giving us a tour of the old cider mill on the property. We loved the location, a short walk or drive from Bayeux, which we took advantage of. All in all, a very fitting and lovely place for us to stay for 5 days in Normandy.

Perfect place in Bayeux
We really enjoyed staying in the former bakery building of this estate. The entire place is gorgeous, and Christophe is a very congenial and helpful host. The location is within walking distance of downtown Bayeux, its spectacular cathedral, etc. And Bayeux is a great base for exploring the D-Day area. If we ever return to the area, this would be our first choice for lodging.

What a quiet, easy to find, comfortable property. We had everything we needed and were so close to shops, restaurants, and main roads leading to WWII beaches. Would book again if visiting Normandy.

Interesting and unusual home, close to Bayeux
The cottage is part of a large enclosure and it was quite cool to stay there. You are a 15-minute walk from the Bayeux Tapestry Museum (and all of the other sites of Bayeux), but it is quiet and very serene on the property.
Christophe and Véronique were great in answering our questions and provided clear directions for us.
A really lovely place to stay, with easy access to Bayeux and to the larger Normandy region.

Stay here !
This place is great and the owners are warm and friendly and very helpful. The property has been beautifully renovated and is walkable to Bayeux. Wonderful area with lots to do. Must sees are the Bayeux Tapestry, Cathedral, and just a short drive away are the beaches of Normandy and the American and British beaches where the D-Day landings took place. We also drove to Mont St Michel in there advice of Christophe, the apartment owner. Incredible village!!

Christophe and Veronique were amazing hosts!
Nice location. Walkable to town but we drove. The grounds are really beautiful and the bakery has been refinished nicely. Our kids loved the tennis court and I loved seeing the horses. Please note you do need to bring your own linen or pay a little extra to have it supplied for you. We must have missed that in the details. The hosts are truly the best and the communication was excellent. Thank you for the great experience!
