About this apartment rental
Goose Crossing has been accommodating people and dogs since the early 90's. We choose to take dogs because we love them ourselves. Goose Crossing is a small studio (4.5 x 3.5 meters) only for single or two people and maximum two very small dogs or one medium dog. You must disclose that you have a dog coming with you.
The studio is in the village of Lorne situated in a quiet garden setting where a few parrots and roos can get quite friendly. The deck (4.5 × 3.5 meters) along a small pocket of garden are fenced together for your dog. Fencing is 4 foot high. . Even though the studio is small it has all your conveniences... a small kitchenette, heating/air conditioning, queen bed, TV, DVD, (no internet) and a BBQ and deck furniture. The main street and foreshore of the town is only a 15-minute walk down the hill. We have a great dog beach which is 24/7 all year round.. Our studio is built with second hand materials and furnished in a similar way. Modern we are not! Check in and check out times are fairly flexible. Generally, we say 1 pm check in and check out 10:00. Times can go either way, depending on the comings/goings of other guest. Goose Crossing is a perfect getaway for you and your dog for a short stay(and not breaking the bank).
There are an assortment of rules for your dog, but they are reasonable.
1. Not on furniture
2. Pick up all doggie poos and dispose of in garbage bins outside
3 .Dogs allowed inside but not left alone inside if going out.
4.. Dogs must have a toilet break before they come in the studio for the first time. (Dogs do like to leave their mark on new places even well-trained dogs)
6. You MUST disclose you have a dog/s and what breed. If not, I can refuse to rent to you.
People rules:
1. Air-conditioned/heating appliance is not to be left on when you have left the premises. It only takes a few minutes to heat or cool this studio..
2. Please don't leave the outside light on all night. It shines into the neighbour's windows.
3. I do not have charging facilities for cars. Call the Lorne Info Center for this information, Ph 5289115
4. Please do not leave your electric appliances charging when you go out and about away from the studio and also all night when you are sleeping.
5. We are a 'no party' policy (big or small)
Directions: Turn right on to Williams Street off the Great Ocean Road known as Mt. Joy Parade. Driving up Williams, take your 3rd left. (at the top of the hill) Drive about 60 feet (18.29 metres) and take your first right, which is Babington Lane and a 'no through road'. This short road (at the end) will take you veering slightly left to face a building where you cannot go any farther. Park on the right of the building facing you. The studio will be at the back right corner of the building, with a sign saying 'Goose Crossing' and steps leading up on to the deck. Come in and make yourselves at home (it will be open for you) and we will catch up to you at some stage.

An absolute gem hidden away at the top of the hill on the edge of the forest. If you like to escape the busy scene on Lorne main street, this is perfect. Ideal for short stay, single living/kitchen/sleeping room with separate bathroom, and deck area. Peaceful and private, with lovely hosts.

perfect for 2 people and beautiful scenery. The owners have pet chickens and we were able to get some fresh eggs from them given to us by the owners!
Homely environment and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Lorne with amazing hosts. Thank you again!

Delightful environment - honking geese, laughing kookaburas, screeching cockatoos, clucking chooks, warbling magpies .. in a leafy neighbourhood, a short drive to the beach. Very steep walk to and from beach was good for exercise. Quaint accommodation could do with a refresh/upgrade but reasonable for the price. Lorne is a top destination.

Beautifully crafted cabin, lovingly made from recycled materials, it has all you need for a quick or a multi-day stay. Very cosy and private, yet a stone through from the main drag on Lorne and the main beach. The quality of sleep was fantastic, the hosts are an amazing couple, and our old pooch felt right at home. Would love to come back.
Thank you, Marsha and Ed!

We had a lovely stay at Goose Crossing. It was very clean and in a great location!

A lovely location. Despite being a dog friendly place, it was very clean.
We found it a little tight for space, especially the bathroom. Also would have been good to know that shower soap and towels were not included.

Goose Crossing Cottage was perfect for my husband and I and our mini Daschund. Small and compact with everything we needed. The enclosed deck and small grassed area meant that our dog could spend some time outside without having to worry about her getting out. The owners are next door which means they are on hand if you need anything but at the same time they are very respectful of your privacy. The proximity to town and the beach meant that we could walk in everyday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We recently stayed at Ed and Marsha's Cottage and it was an absolute delight. The location is perfect, nestled in a quiet and peaceful area with easy access to the beach and nearby bush walks. The cottage itself was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, from kitchen appliances to comfortable bedding.
Overall, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. Ed and Marsha were great hosts.

Great little cabin that had everything including a lovely garden view to wake up to. Hosts were attentive, friendly but unobtrusive. And it was very dog friendly. Finally there are 2 honking geese that are very amusing.

We had a lovely stay at Marsha and Ed's cosy and well equipped studio. The studio is set on a homely and welcoming property and we really appreciated the fenced small garden and generous deck, that allowed our little dog to also enjoy a lovely holiday break. Marsha and Ed are terrific hosts. We look forward to visiting again.

Lovely property that includes your fur babies. Comfortable, clean & away from holiday noise and crowds. Whilst we could still enjoy the beach each day it was such a pleasure to return to the house and sit on the fully enclosed deck and relax. Loved it so will be back

Perfect spot for relaxing getaway.
We couldn't have been more pleased with our accommodation. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Ideal as we were able to have our dog with us and the yard was secure so we didn't need to worry about our dog getting out.

We really enjoyed our stay at the shack. Super clean and lovely inclusions, it was so relaxing sitting with a drink whilst looking out at the changing autumn colours. The dog loved geese and long walks.

Tranquility
Goose Crossing Studio is aptly described in the listing. It really is a lovely spot to sit or lie and just be, yet close to the hub hub of Lorne Beach and promenade when wanted. What a treat to lie in bed at night looking at the stars through the surrounding trees. Just beautiful. Thanks Marsha and Ed for sharing your lovely space.
