PLEASE READ OUR ENTIRE LISTING- I have answered most questions guest have in the property description.
Capacity six overnight guest- We are now limiting our home to just 6 overnight guest. The home is three bedrooms and each bedroom has it's own bathroom.
There are about 45 homes in this private neighborhood and over half of them are occupied by full time residents. Many of these residents have retired to this community to enjoy the quiet, relaxing pace of life here. This is a great community to unwind, recharge and spend time with friends and family. If you are looking for a quiet, slow paced getaway to spend with friends and family this is the vacation spot for you. It is very important that renters are mindful and respectful of residents and community. This will help everyone enjoy this great and convenient spot on Lake Anna !
You will truly feel on vacation the minute you walk through the door and see the beautiful lake view from this cedar home. The huge deck is a great place to hang out with friends, or enjoy your morning coffee. The living room has a gorgeous stone fire place and newly renovated kitchen. This home features a winding staircase that leads to a large lower level bedroom that has a full bath and full-size washer and dryer. The two upstairs bedrooms are large and each has its own full bath. The driveway is large and has room for several cars.
Our house has a brand new high tech Culligan water filtration system with Infrared Sterilization. No funky strange smelling well water like some lake homes and truly beautiful crystal clear water. The community has it’s own private boat ramp, dock and swimming area with a small sand beach. The home is truly in one of the best locations in Lake Anna. Only one mile away from the Food Lion the home is on the same road as the Coyote Hole Cider Works. It's located near the middle of the (Public Side also called the cold side by some). For those of you who haven't been to Lake Anna don't let the name cold side fool you the water temperature is about 82-86 degrees in the summer on this side. The hot side of Lake Anna runs 14 degrees hotter. Great features of the public side are three restaurants you can go to by boat and several marinas where you can get gas. The hot side has no restaurants and no marinas to get gas.
Free Unlimited Fiber Optic WiFi and TV INFO
TV channels come from WIFI Streaming we use Hulu App for live TV. We also have Showtime. Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO . There is also a Blue Ray player and some DVDs and Redbox is available at the Food Lion 1 mile away.
Slips and Docks
Guests with boats and Jet Ski's can park them on the grass. See photos that shows the location. We have a private boat launch and docks, however they are not assigned and are on a fist come first serve basis for owners. The owners boats are on the main lake side and the slots available on the land side closer to the shore are best for guest. There are normally a few open but we can't guarantee you one. If none are available you will have to pull you water craft in and out. We also do not allow Jet Ski's to be parked in any docks they have to be put in and pulled out or tied to the anchor line in the swim area. Rent a Golf Cart-It's a fun way to get around our neighborhood and they will deliver it and pick it up at our house.

We have worked hard to be a premier partner and want our guest to have a great time but we also have had a few people who have taken advantage and abused our home, or worst lied to us so we want to be clear on the following rules. If you can't follow them then we are not the rental for you!
(1) Number of overnight guest- Don't say 4 adults and have 13. Yes we have had this happen and it will result in us charging you addition fees or guest having to leave. Our price is based on several factors that cost us money. Cleaning crews, trash removal, utilities and our linen service. Be upfront and honest with the number of guest you will have staying. We do check. Our maximum over night guest we allow is 6
Security Cameras - We have outside cameras. The neighborhood is extremely safe. These are mostly to be sure the cleaning crew and linen service and trash service have made it to the house when we have quick turn around rentals. They are also to be sure new guest have been able to gain access on check in. Two are pointed on the front driveway and entrance and the others are on the rear of the house. They record all the time for security.
Early Check in or Late Check Out is a $50 fee and has to be approved by the owner and will only be allowed when the schedule can handle it. We often have limited time to turn the property over for the next guest. We also reserve the right to cancel it should a reservation request for that date come in. (Since Covid 19 we are rarely able to do early or late checkins.
NO PETS- Means no pets. No exceptions. Please do not email us and ask us to make an exception. If you must bring your pet then we are not the rental for you.

Minimum rental of one night may be approved ,but only on Monday-Thursday rentals. Weekend rentals are a minimum of 2 nights. Lake Anna is the mid way point between our families and this house was the perfect spot for a reunion! The location was perfect, the house was well equipped and a relaxing and gorgeous place to look out at the lake and wildlife while we cooked breakfast or after the kids fell asleep. Super convenient to groceries, restaurants, and park. The private dock area was a great area to enjoy the lake. Paul was a fantastic host and very responsive when we had questions. Perfect getaway!

We enjoyed you lovely home. Easy access and very clean. View of the lake and 2 decks for outside living. Well appointed kitchen. While we were only 2 people could easily accommodate 6 guests. Short walk to the lake and close to Lake Anna State Park. So comfortable for hanging out. Would definitely return again.

This house was perfect for us. When we were there we were sitting outside on the deck watching the deer and looking at the boats on the lake. Just a serene place.

Relaxing getaway
My friends and I had such a nice stay at this water view property this past weekend. The place was exactly as described in the listing. It was very clean, organized, and had everything that was needed in the kitchen to cook all of our meals. There was a food Lion that was within minutes drive which was convenient. All the Instructions and emails provided were very clear.. I did have to reach out to the owner once because I skimmed over the code in the email to open the boat launch area, and he answered right away! I would definitely recommend staying here whether it be with friends or family.

Cedar Home Lake Getaway came as advertised, lovely, well-equipped and quiet. If anything, my wife and I underutilized what it had to offer (the original plan was a girls' getaway for four, but COVID interrupted those plans at the last minute). The owner was very thoughtful in the many ways he set up this VRBO property and was instantly available when needed. The lake view and the lawn sloping down to it - complete with morning deer - was beautiful. Can't recommend enough!

LOVELY & QUIET - JUST ABOUT PERFECT!
Cedar Home Lake Getaway came as advertised, lovely, well-equipped and quiet. If anything, my wife and I underutilized what it had to offer (the original plan was a girls' getaway for four, but COVID interrupted those plans at the last minute). The owner was very thoughtful in the many ways he set up this VRBO property and was instantly available when needed. The lake view and the lawn sloping down to it - complete with morning deer - was beautiful. Can't recommend enough!

Incredible Stay
Our stay at Paul’s property was a respite from the hustle/bustle of city living for my friends and I who have been extremely busy with work, responsibilities and such. All of the bedrooms were extremely comfortable, with fresh sheets, and enough space for the guests to store their belongings. We SL immediately made ourselves at home, spent the majority of the time in the living room: watching movies, playing games, and relaxing on the massage chair. It was extremely warm for the first part of the weekend, where we sat outside and looked at the lake. We enjoyed our stay so much that we contacted Paul, and asked him if he would extend our stay- he did, and we were thrilled! The second half of the weekend was marred by snowstorms that rendered us stuck on the property. Paul was more than generous in caring about our safety and offering alternatives in the event that we would be snowed in at the cabin past our check out time.
The house had plenty of amenities and it was the perfect location for being close to the lake, while also a mile away from the local grocery store, that way we didn’t waste time driving far and could quickly get back to our group being together.
We would definitely stay at Paul’s lakehouse again, as it truly felt like a home away from home.

I loved my first visit to Lake Anna and this lovely property. The host's engagement definitely contributed to our enjoyment for the weekend. Paul quickly answered all my questions, both about the rental and about the surrounding area, and addressed a minor concern with the linens. My family and I were so happy to stay here! The lake is beautiful and the view is amazing. The dock area is a quick drive around the corner and allowed for fishing and swimming with our kids. Very quiet neighborhood and the residents we saw were very friendly. Only 1 mile from Food Lion which was very convenient for anything we ran out of or forgot to bring. The house is wonderfully clean and stocked with plenty of dishes, towels, etc. The beds are incredibly comfortable and there is plenty of space so our family of 5 did not feel cramped at all! Paul was great about communicating with us the few times I messaged him! The checkout process was quick and painless! We will definitely be staying here again!

Such a great stay
Paul gets a medal for prompt responses and being incredibly accommodating. He is a delight to work with. For us, 50% of renting is communicating with the owner and honesty, and the other 50% is cleanliness, and this place was impeccably clean. Everything you read and see is accurate and on point, so take the time to review everything. The best part, the view—super nice.

Clean, quiet, well-maintained, good landlord
The place is just like the pictures. Communication with Paul was easy and very responsive. To do list for Checking in and checking out are easy and clear. The plus side of our stay was they provided little things but important so that we didn’t have to pack everything. Things like towels, toilet papers, seasoning for cooking, dish soaps, bedding. Tv has many streaming service. But most importantly is the place was clean, and spotless, and the lake is walking distance.

A peaceful weekend
My family and so just stayed over the Christmas holiday weekend. The house was easy to enter (love the digital lock). The entire house was clean and there was plenty of space for our entire group. The beds are very spacious and each room had a set of sheets ready to be placed on the bed. The kitchen was great and we had no issue maneuvering/ finding what we needed.
The biggest hits with my family:
- back patio/ view (watching a sunset/sunrise is a must!)
-massage chair: mostly everyone took a turn and loved all the settings
-TV selection: the variety from Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and all the other offered channels left us all well entertained
Overall we enjoyed ourselves and had a great break. Paul is quick to reply and very helpful which we loved.
