Located on a very quiet and secluded inlet with almost no boat activity. The dock was perfect for sunbathing, fishing and relaxing while watching the eagles, heron, osprey, deer and fish jumping from the smooth glass like water surface. We enjoyed the use of the canoe, kayaks and paddle boards so graciously provided by our host. The house was large enough to accommodate our family of eleven adults. We appreciated the extra refrigerator in the garage and we were pleasantly surprised that the linens and towels were not only furnished but of fine quality. It was also very easy to communicate with our host with any questions we had.

It was a great location, with beautiful lakefront views and a nice kitchen!

We had a great stay at this home in Bumpass. It's spacious and the backyard lent itself very well to outdoor play and relaxation. We especially liked being on the warm side of the lake that allowed for swimming, kayaking, and boating in April (not usually possible or fun on the cold side this time of year). It was quiet and peaceful all week and immediate area of the lake offered great fishing! Kitchen is pretty well equipped for a large family like ours except that we ran out of silverware, so plan to do some by dishes mid day if you are eating all meals at home like we did! The place was generally clean when we got in but we did need to do some touch ups in the bathrooms (perhaps we're picky?) and we did find a dead bait fish on the garage floor, which was overall sticky. Neither of those things would keep us from booking again, though!
Also, if you are planning to bring a boat, note that the dock is a little tall for easy boarding on bass/fishing boats, but would probably be a very easy step onto a pontoon.

We enjoyed our long weekend! The house is spacious and well stocked. Plenty of dishes and silverware for the 8 of us. There is some wear and tear noticed, but everything was clean and comfortable. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the deck, the dock, and the fire ring. The kayaks and paddle boards were a highlight. The dogs enjoyed the big front and back yards. It is a beautiful and quiet location. Would definitely recommend!

The house and location on the lake were perfect for a quiet getaway. The house had lots of space and sleeping options which made it easy to accommodate multiple families. The house was very clean and had just about everything we needed. The power in the neighborhood went out our first evening, and the owner was on top of keeping us updated until the power was restored a couple of hours later. Would highly recommend!

This was our pre-Valentine's Day retreat, and it was an absolute dream experience. The property is nestled along a breathtaking private waterfront, and the interior was more spacious than we had imagined. The house was clean with normal wear and tear, but the furnishings and tasteful decor made us feel right at home. This house provided us with a perfect sanctuary for our getaway, with an abundance of amenities, from the expansive deck overlooking the serene waters to kayaks and canoes, and the fire pit overlooking the water where the kids enjoyed roasting s'mores, ensuring there was never a dull moment. The attention to detail and care provided by the hosts made our experience truly unforgettable. If you're searching for a place of serenity and relaxation, with abundant outdoor and water activities for all, then look no further than this remarkable waterfront retreat—it's a hidden gem just waiting to be discovered!

As we were trying to enjoy the Christmas week with our family we spent countless hours on chat with VRBO and on a phone call and lengthy daily chats with the owner to no avail.
The kitchen was ill equipped for a family of 16. There was not an operable can opener to open a can! The power opener under the counter which looks like a radio / clock, has food caked all over it, a true testament to their “dedicated cleaning crew”. It took us a couple of days to even figure out what it was and it didn’t work. Not a spatula or wooden spoons, or even knives to cut steak with, just butter knives. The pots and pans were overly stained and had the Teflon flaking up to the point we were uncomfortable using them for fear of health concerns. The sink sprayer is broken, and we had mix matched plates bowls and silverware, clearly not what one would expect even though we were promised everything would be fine..
The refrigerators are not cleaned as well…would you like to use this frig? See pictures
We took more time away from our family time together to go purchase wooden spoons and a can opener and returned home to bring our bowls and skillets to cook with.
We had even reached out to the owner in June after reading an unfavorable review from a previous guest regarding the “mattresses dings on wall dirty pots and pans and running out of forks”. The owner guaranteed us this was all addressed and that the previous guests were just unhappy because of the weather (see chat details from

We had a long Labor Day vacation in this home which was well suited for several families. The home was comfy, well stocked and clean and was able to accommodate kids of all ages. The location was superb and offered plenty of water toys such as kayaks, a canoe and paddle boards as well as noodles and floating toys. We couldn't have been happier and will definitely hope to return next year.

We really enjoyed our vacation staying at this house. We loved the beautiful lake view with all the provided lake equipment. Owner was very responsive with answers to our questions. Was very nice to have the extra refrigerator in the garage. Loved the big yard. Kitchen could have been better stocked with kitchen essentials but overall was a wonderful place to stay and our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house.

Great swimming for our toddler and older kids. Use of canoe, kayaks and paddleboards was a big plus! Sand play area is a great addition. Property is well shaded and away from public access. We really enjoyed the private setting. We brought our own boat and owner was very helpful in making arrangements to launch. Would rent this property again.

The home is in a great location. We enjoyed the water, and the beach was great for the children. There were plenty of life vests, kayaks, paddle boards etc. There was plenty of kitchen supplies, dishes etc. It was nice to have the 2 ovens, as we used them plenty if times. In reference to the home, there was plenty of space. We would say that the home is in need of some repairs, (vents need clean, the upstairs sliding door leaked, the ceiling paint is peeling, sliding doors difficult to open, showers had some mold on the floor tile edges). We were surprised that only 1 roll of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom was supplied. We also needed to purchase additional garbage bags. At the end of the day our family had a great time and enjoyed the water activities. Lake Anna is a beautiful lake!!

We have stayed 4 years in a row and already booked our 5th for next year. The backyard is beautiful! No better place to kayak and paddleboard. The new firepit is awesome! The inside is spacious. The owner is very responsive. Look forward to coming back every year.

Great house with everything your group needs for a fun stay. The house is incredibly close to the lake making for a short walk back and forth from the house - something not all houses on the lake offer. The firepit was a favorite of the weekend and the beach was a hit with the kids. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook a meal. Would 100% stay again.

The dock, yard, fire pit, and back deck are all awesome. You’re in great shape if you have gorgeous weather.
However, the inside leaves a lot to be desired…think lumpy mattresses, dings on the walls, dirty pots and pans in the cupboards. We also ran out of forks with just a group of 5.
We won’t stay here again.

We enjoyed the fire pit and water toys. The kitchen was a bit lacking and living room furniture a little worn. Bedrooms and beds were comfortable.

I rented this location for my family during spring break for my children. It did not disappoint. Very large house on about 3 acres of property, lakefront with pier and two small sand beaches. My kids had an absolute blast playing in the water, catching fish and turtles. It is nice and secluded so we were able to enjoy ourselves without distraction. I would absolutely stay here again given the opportunity.

I would recommend this Lake Anna home for anyone interested in fishing and boating on a lovely secluded spot just an hour from Charlottesville and Richmond. We will come again.

Everyone had a great time. We were a group of 10 and had plenty of room. The backyard is beautiful and at the camp fire is where we spent most of our time enjoying the stars. Will rent again next year.

This was a great stay. House is comfortable and spacious. Lots of sleeping a space and plenty of bathrooms. A bit of wear and tear on kitchen utensils, bathrooms, kayaks. Nice to have extra fridge in garage. Plenty of space to kayak. A bit of a process to find a ramp to get boat into water. Door code and Wi-Fi code incorrect but quickly updated by owner. Would come back again!

We were looking for a quiet lake side place where we could hang out by the fire, relax on the dock, and kayak/canoe. This place was perfect for our needs. The house was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for 6 adults and two dogs.

We had bad weather so spent a lot of time in the house. The house was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Property was very nice and our dogs loved it as well.

We rented this house for the third time because we love it so much! It is always clean and this property has the best water access for everyone!

We loved this house. So much so that one of the families that stayed are looking into booking with their extended family next year. Loved that it was on the warm side of the water (though fishing would have likely been better on the cold side, swimming was so enjoyable, so we'd likely pick warm side again!). Tons of sunny's to catch for the little guys, and a few decent bass caught off our dock. Kayaks, stand up boards, a canoe was all available, and many large mouth bass were caught by going out on canoe. Great little spot tucked away. Great swimming. Some floats were deflated (to be expected end of season) but plenty of pool noodles, sized life vests etc. for kiddos to enjoy!
In the house had everything we needed. We often didn't have enough forks/spoons for our whole family to eat at once, so maybe add some of those because max capacity there for sure wouldn't be enough. But tons of everything else available for use.
Place was very VERY clean.
Minor issue - back sliding doors were easy to open, but very tough to close. We worked around it, but during the off season might be something to take a look at to make the ease of that easier. Didn't affect our trip at all, more of an FYI for the property manager.
Tons of towels supplied for us, and the bedding was all clean and comfortable. Extra blankets if you got cold, extra pillows.
When going to Lake Anna in the future, we would 100% go here again.
There was a hot tub in the back that the kids got VERY excited about, but it was clearly old and not in working order. Would be a big perk if that ever got up and running/was replaced. But with the water being so warm, it was a non issue!!!
Our vacation was beyond perfect at this house. Amazing location, amazing property. loved.

We had a great time! Owner was so helpful with the boat launch. Got our boat to the house with no issues. Our family ages 8 to 98 had a great time. All 4 generations. The house was clean the lake was beautiful. and they even allowed our dog. Who wouldn't stay out of the water. Couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Lots of special family time and memories. Thank you Lake Fun!!!!

Lovely property but unhelpful owner/manager
This lovely house was a great fit for our family. Ample bedrooms and bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen with 2 ovens, a large dining room, and 2 family room areas where we could spread out. There is a very nice back deck with a large dining table with umbrella and chairs. The back of the property is enticing with large trees, gardens and a wide view of the lake. There is a pier and easy entrance to the lake. Plenty of toys are at your disposal including kayaks, a canoe, and inflatables. The lawn included a firepit, tons of room for lawn games, and plenty of shade. The only complaint I have is that the owner/manager was less than helpful with a few issues we had. They did not get resolved so eventually, I gave up.

Excellent for special reunion time with children, spouses and grandchildren!
It was our second time renting this property and everything went as smoothly as you could wish for. Ashish, the owner was quick to respond the same day when we had a difficulty. All in all we had a wonderful stay.

Summer lake house vacation
The home was as advertised. Great location in neighborhood. One of our children left his wallet and cleaning crew and owner are making sure it is being returned to us. Thanks.
Two minor issues the sewage septic system backed up outside in yard but the property management company working with owner promptly resolved the issue.
The second issue is this lake home is located at the private side of the lake with no water access to the main side of the lake. We rented a speed boat for a few days but could not use the home’s boat dock. We had to store our boat at the marina.
We all had a great time.

Great place for a reunion
Every year we get together. Friends from the old neighborhood to relax and get some kayaking in.
This house was clean, spacious and comfortable. It's on a quiet section of the very warm and inviting Lake Anna. Everything we needed was there. Easy kayak launch, Fire pit, rooms and beds for everyone. The lake water is warm, there is plenty of room inside and out and even a few water toys if you don"t want to bring your own. Plenty of parking. Check in was easy and the A/C was set to a perfect temperature. We didn't have to touch a thermostat. The WiFi was a little sketchy but the cell service was good. We are definitely looking to return next year. Might even plan an additional trip there. You will not be disappointed.
