About this house rental

Lakeside Lockwood house with all day sun on level site with easy access. Wide views of lake and mountain, 2 flights of steps down to lake to own deep water jetty. Good swimming and fishing. Abundant bird life on property.

3 bedrooms. 1 Queen bed in main room. 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds in each (the 3rd bedroom has king singles). Extra beds can be assembled in garage, (one double and 2 single beds) This involves wheeling a dinghy on a trailer outside and the BBQ, rolling out a carpet and setting up the beds. (But only suitable in summer months) Extra's over 6 only by special arrangement with the manager. A tent may be pitched on the lawn over the summer months, but extra charges would apply for the extra persons. DOGS NOT ALLOWED.

Bath with shower over.
2 toilets
Microwave, fridge, additionald freezer.
Pot-belly fireplace and firewood.
TV,
Must take your own linen including sheets, pillowslips, towels, and tea towels.
Visitors to tidy and clean and leave the property as found.

This is a fantastic bach for a relaxing get away. We were a family group celebrating a birthday so perfect space to hang out together. The kitchen is well equiped for self catering and the fridge and freezer space amazing. A very memorable stay.

2nd time staying at yhe propery. View is dantasric.we live the stairs down to new refurbished jetty. Awesome frin tlawn for playing frisbee etc. Drive tight for bringing in boats on trailors but doable. Beds very comfortable. Older style house. Everything works very well. Well equipped kitchen. Great hotwater. Awesome to have extra freezer.

Absolutely beautiful batch, in such a prime spot. Great for the whole family, having your own jetty there. Will definitely be staying again! We all did not want to leave. Check in process etc was all nice and straight forward. Thanks! :)

We found this property really great for us, Very clean, easy to use, heaps of fridge/freezer space, easy as to heat, wifi might have been a bit handy as cell reception not great, awesome jetty (maybe could use some cleats/tie points on outerside for larger boats or multiple boats. Would love to stay in this property again especially in summer!!!

Bach was old style, but very well equipped kitchen, excellent beds, comfortable and well looked after. Fantastic view, and wonderful to be able to walk down to beach and walk way. Warf tricky to use for bigger boats. Had a lovely stay. thankyou

It was perfect, walk down to the lake for a dip so refreshing. It suited us so well we had the young men sleeping in the garage and they were warm with lots of blankets. We probably used the stove once but mainly the bbq. The fire pot belly is a hit as it was cold. Everyone loved the bach sitting out on the deck looking at the lake. Norman was very helpful and came out to show us the switch to the stove...thank you. Would definitely be back again thumbs up

Classic old lockwood right on the lake. Totally awesome location with own jetty and convenience with the lake right on your doorstep. House was totally sufficient for our family with some really useful features, such as towel rails and wardrobes in the rooms. Every room has a view. Would definitely stay again. Quite tricky maneuvering a large boat down the driveway and would recommend leaving at the jetty during entire stay.

This was our 2nd stay at this Lake Tarawera holiday home. We loved the location, private jetty and of course the stunning views. We were a little disappointed though that the house wasn't all that clean when we arrived including the BBQ. Also the kichen fridge door and oven door still dont close properly.

The property was a beautiful location with amazing views. The stairs down to the water had a gate which was perfect for our little toddler. The house had everything you needed and was well set out. We had a couple of issues with some of the appliances not working but Norman was prompt in trying to help fix the issues. Great stay 😁

The house on the lake was idyllic- very peaceful. Great grassy area in front of house for kids to play. Would have been lovely to have had access to a couple of kayaks to explore the lake- but probably more appropriate in summer with warmer weather. Would recommend this spot to anyone! Loved it.

Great location and great views

This is a really lovely place to stay with the family. We had a great time and the property had everything we needed. The only challenge was, with young kids and bringing our kayaks and paddleboards, was the steep stairs down to the lake which I didn't realise. Otherwise there was a nice little beach to play on for the kids, and a playground and boat ramp close by. Thanks for having us.
