The cottage is set in a tranquil rural location and enjoys wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and coastline toward Tory Island. This beautiful landscape is ever changing with the constantly changing sky. The cottage is situated at the foothills of Muckish mountain. We had a lovely stay the only negative for me that due to the remote location there was nowhere to walk the dog due to position of main road and no footpath
Other than that the house was perfect

We had a wonderful week in this fabulous cottage just outside of Falcarragh. Conveniently located with amazing views and close to Dunfanaghy and the beach, the house is modern and well equipped with plenty of space for a large family or group of friends. Information provided by hosts prior to arrival was thorough and extremely helpful and we would highly recommend to anyone looking to book in this area. We would certainly consider booking again in the future.

The property is aesthetically pleasing and exceptionally clean. Mary, our gracious host, provided comprehensive information about local amenities, including activities, attractions, and restaurants in the vicinity. I highly recommend this property, as the views and beaches in the area are truly remarkable.

My family and our 2 dogs absolutely loved our short stay at Ballyboe cottage, despite the unseasonal cold and wet June weather we got. The property has stunning views of the nearby mountains and beach, inside the house is really spacious, bright, clean and comfortable. Mary was super quick to get back to any questions I had and was beyond helpful in recommending places to visit while we were there. Unfortunately we didn’t get the best weather but the beaches we saw were breathtaking, Ards forest park worth a visit. We will definitely be back and have been recommending it to all our friends and family!

We had the best time at Ballyboes. The home is beautiful and had plenty of room for our family of four. The surrounding villages had plenty to offer for entertainment snd food/drink. The view from the property was fantastic. I couldnt imagine a better start to our trip. Thank you for hosting us!

The house is spacy, quiet located and some rooms are well renovated. It had all we needed. However, we would not call it "luxury" (like it was advertised) since several items need maintenance and repair especially in the kitchen.
The house is well located for sightseeing along the "Wild Atlantic Way" in Donegal and Glendalough National Park. However, we found it unpleasant that we could not go somewhere on foot or by bicycle directly from the house, since the busy N56 is suited only for car traffic.

Myself, my mum and two sisters stayed for two nights at Mary's cottage. It is a beautiful home and had everything we needed. It was close to the town of Dunfanaghy, which we visited both days for food - definitely recommed Lizzie's Diner!

Great little cottage, all you need for a comfortable relaxing stay with quirky decor and wonderful views of the countryside, close to great beaches and a great wee pub Patsy Dan’s in Dunfanaghy. We have been here many times and would always recommend as a perfect place to relax and recharge. Love it!

The house is exactly as described and in a great location to Dunfanaghy and Falcarragh were you can go for food and drinks.
Breathtaking beaches 5 minutes drive from the house, you can hear the waves hitting the beach from the house.
Can’t wait to go back.

A really well equipped home in a beautiful area close to 2 villages with a good selection of bars, coffee shops and supermarkets. Great beaches close by too. Mary, the owner, gave us so much information which made our stay even more enjoyable. This is our second visit to this property and hopefully we will return again soon.

We had a wonderful time! The house was clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas, in the evenings we lit the fire and cosied up to play board games. The house is close to some great walks and to lovely beaches, the local village has a great craft shop and some good restaurants and coffee shops. What a great find on Vrbo!

Lovely house, super warm and cosy with comfortable beds and duvets. Hot water hot and plentiful and open fire very much enjoyed. Furnishings were comfy and enough dining chairs when bedroom chairs were used.
Lovely stay all in all!

We had a sunny few days in the cottage in Donegal, Mary our host was very helpful, any queries were answered promptly. The cottage was as described, and well positioned between two beautiful beaches. We had everything we needed to make our holiday as enjoyable as it was

A very enjoyable stay at Ballyboe with family . Plenty of space and a very comfortable home !
4.8
Lovely house, plenty of space for all, nicely situated near some excellent beaches and a nice little village, would definitely book again to stay in that area
4.8
Communication with Mary and Tina was great the whole time, plenty of room.
My only feedback is it would be good to have a closed in area at the back as it is dog friendly so they could play outside as it is near a busy road.
The shower in the upstairs bedroom didn’t work on the left hand side but no hig deal and didn’t take away from our stay. The lock on the door was a bit stiff but again no big issue at all.
Wifi was good and everything we needed was there. Thank you Mary!

Such a lovely property. Lots of space and so comfortable. We were blessed with the weather and took advantage of the chairs and table available for outdoor eating. Our dog Toby had the best time, we took a retractable lead which was needed whenever he was outside the property as its not enclosed. This didnt inconvenience us in any way.Location is great for taking advantage of the many wonderful beaches, and scenic drives etc, keep your eyes well trained as its easy to miss the house on arrival, (for us anyway) Only negative is maybe time for a new tv, picture quality is poor. A 5 star property ✨️

Thankyou for a wonderful few days in your lovely house, very comfortable and beautiful scenic views and not overlooked, very private but very accesible to both falcarragh, dunfanaghy, and lots of other places, great base for anyone, loved it, will definitly go back, thankyou😍

We had a great relaxing time at Ballyboe cottage. The cottage was spotless and was equipped with everything that you could possibly need or want. Great location between Falcarragh and Dunfanaghy and the sunset was amazing 🙂 we will be back.

We loved this house—ocean view, friendly neighboring cows, and excellent amenities. We loved having this home base to explore the area, Tory Island, surfing, and nights out at nearby pubs.
4.8
We have stayed at this property a couple of times before so we knew it would be good and it didn’t disappoint. Everything was clean and fresh and well organised with plenty of information supplied before travel. We will definitely visit again and I would be happy to recommend this property to anyone.

This is the second time we have stayed here. Lovely big house, close to multiple beaches and a short drive to glenveagh national park. Mary emailed us lots of things to do in the area and was easy to contact if we needed anything. Thanks for a great stay!

Great views, struggled to make oven work, could have been cleaner

We loved our stay at Ballyboe!! The location was absolutely beautiful and centrally located between two adorable towns. The cottage itself was perfect. Warm and welcoming and huge!! We absolutely loved it, and the sunset views were spectacular.

The cottage is fantastic value for the rental charge ! It’s very spacious for 2 families of 4 and a dog . It was spotless and the views are just beautiful. It is so peaceful and quiet but also very close to nearby towns .
It was great to have a bbq and garden furniture which we could use .
We will definitely be returning very soon !

As always staying at Ballyboe cottage was amazing, cosy comfortable and close to beach and local villages, the cottage is well furnished and a great place to bring kids and pets. There are a few small things that need repair, the hot tap in kitchen is loose, skirting in some places need attached,
touching up of paintwork here and there, and floor tiles in upstairs en suite loose, a handyman could repair these in a day. Great communication with hosts and kindly left kids some lovely treats. Thank you, we'll be back.
4.8
Check in easy. Host sent comprehensive directions and local PoI. Comfortable house. Excellent location to chill out or as a base to explore. Views of Tory, Errigal, the Aglas and Muckish

Everything you need under one roof, comfy, cosy, quiet and spacious.

Delightful place to stay. Clean spacious and well equipped. Host available by phone if required.
