Beautiful house with lots of facilities and an amazing view
Could do with a tumble dryer, as the weather can be wet in Donegal, so drying towels can be a challenge. Also a shower downstairs

Views were absolutely amazing. Lots to do in the area.
House is decorated lovely and cozy.
The road up to the house is tricky for about one km the car is dodging pot holes ( just a very small country road)

The scenery was spectacular, the house was well maintained and kept, the remote location provided a true get away and the hosts were great when dealing with queries etc.
Very little to dislike.

Remoteness, spaciousness, and scenic view made this stay exceptional! Using the EireCode made it easy to find despite remoteness.
Notice about the need to bring/supply our own towels & toiletries could be better reiterated. The use of the bins beside the kitchen could be noted more clearly. Maybe put a sticker note on each bin to identify “plastics/bottles/cans” or rubbish etc.

Loughview Cottage is exceptional! It has everything you could possibly need an want. Remote located, yet within a short drive of the nearest towns, STUNNING view and lots of space. We also love that fact we can bring the dogs with us.
Host is extremely responsive and has been so helpful to us.
This is our second visit and definitely won’t be our last - we love it and I highly recommend Lough View Cottage!

Quiet, peaceful, isolated location but close to Glen, Downings and Carrigart. The view is unbeatable! Nice clean house with all the usual amenities including a pool table! Outside area is nice to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of Donegal.

The property located in a quiet area with the view at Lough Glen. The house is very spacious and well equipped. The owners allowed me to spent time at the property with my 2 dogs sticking to some obvious house rules.
Generally, the stay was hassle free with clear explanation from the owners how to get to property and some hints how to spent the time in that area the most interesting.
The area outside the house quite small.

The property was nice enough to stay in and was very large for our group
That the owner wanted more money 1 year after our booking as they realised it was a holiday nearer the arrival date. Too far out and not a shop nearby, wasn’t near anything and unless you could drive it’s not a good location

The view was exceptional. Warm and clean house.
Even though there are three bathrooms only one person can take a shower at the time because water pressure was too low. You could end up with no water under the shower until other person in other bathroom finish the shower. Also you need to know when booking the house that towels are not provided (but it was announced a day before arrival). If you are staying longer than a weekend you need to prepare yourself with toilet paper remembering that nearest shop is quite a few minutes drive from the house. There was mold in one of the rooms.

The views are wonderful, nice house, warm and spacious, the house is excellent for 2 families with children. We were there over Christmas and the decorations were tastefully done by the owners.

Stunning house beautifully decorated with loads of room for a large family. The wood burning stove is lovely to look at on a cold winters night. John had the central heating on when we arrived which was great. The view are simply breathtaking across the Lake and the mountains of Donegal. We will certainly return to this fantastic cottage.

The location is absolutely incredible. The views from nearly every room in the house is just stunning. The owners were so helpful and accomodating. Beautifully decorated and really homly.
The lane to the house is long and windy, would be a little nervous on it if it was icy. Also you need to have a car, you couldn't easily walk from the house but on the flip side you are so secluded and private which is lovely. You had to bring your own towels which was the only thing i think would have expected to be there.

House is in a secluded spot of Donegal enjoying fantastic views. Was perfect for young family, layout suited perfectly.

The cottage was very comfortable, with a mind blowing view of Glen lake and the mountains behind.
Very few issues, but maybe the kitchen kit could do with an update, more saucepans, particularly large ones, etc to allow for large group cooking.

Views were unreal. Lovely house. Plenty of room. Facilities were excellent.

Location was amazing, secluded with stunning views. 5 minutes drive from a town with take-aways and shops.
Also really close to the coast for beach walks.
This house would be perfect for warm sunny days thanks to a great patio area but also spacious and relaxing inside with great windows for the views and a lovely wood burning stove to make evenings cozy.

This property is perfect for a trip to Donegal! John the host is extremely informative and helpful and replies to all queries extremely fast! We really appreciated the size of the house for our group of 7 people and accommodated our golden retriever which was amazing! The location is a bit of the main roads but so worth it as the views are stunning! We even had the added bonus of John lending us two kayaks which we were able to use on the beach which we really appreciated!
I highly recommend this property and we will definitely return in the future!
