We absolutely loved our stay here! The location is perfect for walking to the beach, shops & restaurants. Scott is excellent with communication & recommendations in the area. We really appreciated him sharing his property for us to enjoy Maui. We would highly recommended staying here & look forward to coming back for more Family Adventures💕

Our stay was great. The condo is located right next to the pool and BBQs. Its a very short walk to the beach 5mins if you're slow. Plenty of other beaches within 5 to 10 mins driving. The unit was clean when we arrived and the 2 king beds were comfortable. The complex is very quiet making a very relaxing spot. The parking is nice and close to the unit as well. There were beach chairs, a cooler, an umbrella and snorkling gear for us to use. The kitchen pretty much had everything we needed to prepare meals. I would highly recommended this property. Scott the host was amazing and great at communicating. He made everything easy and was quick to answer any questions and help with rescheduling our stay when flights were changed by the airline. The staff on site was also very nice and friendly. We will stay here again when we return.

I can recommend, polite hoster, responded quickly, excellent communication. The house had almost everything you need, except soap, shampoo, tea, coffee and sugar (just don't forget to buy these little things for yourself). Quiet place, although close to the pool. Don't forget to fill out the online form for car registration upon arrival. The nearest shops are 10 minutes away by car. Minus one point because of a nuance that I will inform the host personally, it is easily fixed. I will repeat once again that the place is good and I recommend visiting.

There was a bit of trouble (and it took several days) with getting registered through the management company but they were very helpful in figuring it out. This place is very convenient and has a nice pool. It fit the 5 of us but 6 would be a push since 2 people would need to be on the pull out couch. Kitchen was nicely equipped!!

My stay from May 28th to June 5th 2024 in Kihei, Maui was nothing short of spectacular. The property is ideally located, offering easy access to the beach and local attractions.
The host (Scott) was exceptional, providing great hospitality and ensuring our needs were met throughout our stay. His responsiveness greatly enhanced our experience.
I wholeheartedly recommend this property for a truly unforgettable Hawaiian getaway. It's a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and natural beauty. I can't wait to return!

Condo was very welcoming and comfortable. Has everything you need including ice chest. Very clean and well kept. Less than 5 min walk to beach where you can see turtles and amazing sunsets. Host Scott was fantastic. Very responsive and easy to book with. Looking forward to our next trio to Maui

A few of my family members stayed in this condo at the end of March and had a great time! Beautiful and well-appointed condo, easy access to the beaches and both pools. The property is gorgeous, and it was wonderful to be able to walk to any of the other units at Maui Kamaole that other family members were staying in. This is really the perfect location if you're looking to stay in Kihei, and we will absolutely be back!

We had a great 10 day stay at the unit over Christmas. Everything was as promised and we had no issues at all. The unit was clean and comfortable. We took advantage of the Karma Closet for beach chairs, boogie boards and snorkel gear - which was perfect for our daily walk across the street to the beach.
The only negative comment I could make is that the “starter kit” for household supplies was a bit lacking for a 10 day stay. I didn’t want to go buy toilet paper and dishwasher detergent for my last few days. For the daily rate, these things should be included for the duration. But that is a minor issue in the grand scheme of things and didn’t impact our rating.
Scott is very personable and we would certainly stay here again.

Kihei is a dreamland and being able to stay at Scott’s place was the cherry on top. I’ve never had such an attentive, accommodating, and kind vacation rental host before. Scott bent over backwards to make our stay a good one, and oh was it ever good! I would highly recommend staying at Maui Kamaole — incredibly convenient beach access, great restaurants nearby, an amazing pool, and this apartment was well stocked with beach essentials.
The ONLY consideration I would mention is soundproofing if you’re travelling with a baby. The unit isn’t the most soundproof between the bedrooms. Other than that, our group has only the best things to say about this place. Thank you Scott!

If someone ever wrote a manual or did a masterclass on how to own, operate and keep a vacation rental with the highest standards, this should be the model.
Let's start with the backbone of any good operation, the owner, Scott. There are not enough superlatives to describe Scott, but here are a few: responsive, generous, timely, kind, and just an overall attention to detail that sets this property, high, above others. Scott, thank you for having and maintaining such a fantastic place. Caring and thoughtful owners like Scott are why we stay at VRBO's.
Now to the details. The mini-split AC units are absolute genius -- quiet and cool. They make the unit feel like you are on the beach, in a hammock and not in the lunch room at a welding shop.
The bed's are first class and provided amazing comfort after long day's of traversing Maui.
The rest of the unit is immaculate and well apportioned. Scott has thought of everything to facilitate a worry free stay here.
We've stayed at plenty -- actually more than plenty of VRBO's, this is in the rarefied air of the best of the best.
We will be back!

Excellent host: Scott went the extra mile from the very beginning. He arranged for us to check in earlier. He contacted us several times to see how we were doing. Even after we had checked out and the wild fires started, he called to see if we were safe.
Excellent location: The property is 15 minutes away from Makena beach, in our opinion, the best beach in Maui. There is a super market 5 minutes away and plenty of shops at Kihei. You are also 5 minutes away from Wailea and the shopping area.
Excellent apartment: the unit is on a second floor, which allows for more light and less noise. It is very close to the pool, but not too close, so you do not hear the noise of the pool. The parking spot is as close as it gets to the unit.
Very well equipped: The unit is very well equipped with a beach umbrella and several beach chairs and body boards. It also has all of the kitchen utensils you may need + dish washer, microwave, washer/dryer, etc.
Spotless: We received the unit spotless. Very clean and tidy.

We had an amazing time in Maui, the condo was stunning, the property is beautiful and the location is central to everything we wanted :) Scott answered ecery question I had (and I had a lot :)) when my family and I visit Maui again, we will definitely book with Scott-Kamaole Sands Resort......the beach right across the street, Kamoale Beach III, is beautiful and we saw turtles everyday, they swam right by us as we were swimming in the ocean, was very beautiful!!! Our family had a great time at this location. The condo is amazing and the location is perfect for beach access as well as visiting some great restaurants. The condo was very clean and organized and the beach gear closet was an added bonus. We highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Maui.

Fantastic location with complex pool/spa/bbq right next door. Great size for our family of 5 with awesome Karma cupboard. 3 tvs in the apartment which was nice for some time alone if needed. Lots of little extras provided which was nice, even a box of muslie was provided! Loved our stay! Only problem was the dishwasher didn't really clean very well so we hand washed our dishes most of the time.

We stayed here for the last leg of our 3-island Hawaiian vacation to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. It was in a great location walking distance to the beach. We were able to watch the sunset every night! We loved the layout of the unit and it was very well appointed with everything we needed for our home away from home. We will definitely rent this unit again the next time we are in Maui!

Would highly recommend this spacious unit as it is in a quiet and relaxing location, close to the pool, parking and BBQ area. Excellent set up for families with teens or young adults, as it is within walking distance of several beaches, restaurants and shops. Top-notch appliances, air conditioning, and king beds, and well-stocked cabinet with beach supplies. Many thanks to the hosts for sharing their beautiful beach home.

We’ve been to Maui many times over the past 20 years and have stayed at various complexes in Kihei and Wailea. This is hands down the very best unit for families. The condo is clean, spacious and well laid out with the upstairs loft having shutters to close it off so it’s rather private with an adjacent bathroom. Both bedrooms have comfortable mattresses, decks with chairs and the living room pull out is great for families of 5 like us.
The unit is well stocked and the Canadian owner is super responsive and great to deal with. The property is very well maintained, centrally located and across the street from Kamole beach 3. And best of all, this unit is 2 mins from the pool and bbq/eating area (but no noise). Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thx Scott for sharing your Maui place with others.

Lovely condo that is just as described and shown in the photos! Easy walk to the beach, extremely close to the pool (but still quiet) and fabulous air conditioning. Scott was wonderful to work with and a great communicator. Would love to stay at this location at a future visit and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place for a family vacation!

This condo as well as the host were amazing. From the get go, the host was very helpful and quick to communicate back when we had questions about the place and Maui in general. The place is spot on with the listing and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. The recent remodel on the property is beautiful and well done. The on site amenities were great including the two different pools.

This place is almost perfect: big and comfy, easy check in process, VERY helpful and responsive host. Well outfitted, for beach and cooking - right next to pool/hot tub… with grills! TV streams anything, including our home DVR. No ocean view from Lanai and a bit of a walk to the beach (altho parking there is easy) but small challenges compared to the many positives... we will be back!

This was our 4th time in Maui and our second time staying at the Maui Kamaole. We love the property and this condo is absolutely excellent! It’s newly renovated and very well appointed. We had everything we needed and more. Location is close to beach and right next door to the lower pool. The lovely tropical pool is only a block away. There’s a Karma Closet full of beach chairs and boogie boards which is much appreciated. Scott is an excellent host and super responsive. Looking for a dream vacation? This is your place. Can’t wait to come back — we would definitely rent here again. Thanks again Scott!!!

The property is beautiful and very family friendly. We traveled with our 2 kids (4 and 1), the staff was friendly, the pools were great. It was so close to beaches and shops. We never had to leave the area. The condo itself was clean and comfortable. Also there was a water main break on our last day, while we were trying to get ready. The management company was so kind and sent someone with jugs of water so we could prepare for our travels! 5/5 recommend.

It's so comforting to open the door to Scott's condo and have the pictures in the listing match the reality of being there. A few of the highlights:
* new AC units in every room that allows for perfect climate control throughout the condo.
* A well stocked beach equipment closet that had more than enough equipment for our family of 4.
* Hardwood throughout that made it easier to return from the beach or pool.

A fantastic unit! Only one important issue -long bulbs were burnt out in downstairs bathroom so quite dark when showering with the one working light not over the shower area but good enough light to get ready. Landlord contacted and order put in but no one showed up over the 7 days. We were steps from the pool -perfect for happy hour and cooking our barbecued meals. Excellent beds in both rooms. Tons of space in upstairs bathroom. Great comfy couch and chairs- well made comfortable furniture on patio. Umbrella broken upon arrival -landlord made aware. Last thing, I’d suggest getting Tupperware for guests -so important for the food that you put in the cooler provided. Everything else in the kitchen is provided. Well stocked. Thank you Scott for sharing your lovely place with us.

We had booked this trip pre-covid originally. Scott was great in helping reschedule our dates. This place is just as described. All beach equipment provided, this was great to get the most of the experience being so close to the beach. Such a quiet, peaceful place to just relax and enjoy the beautiful birds and weather. Great to be so close to the pool for my 9 year old going every day.

There were 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 kids, ages 13, 13 and 10. The location is good, right across the street from the beach, which was an easy walk down the little hill. Condo is right next to the pool and spa, which was super convenient. The condo itself is nice and clean. The whole process of renting it for the week was very simple and easy from start to finish. I like how we were texted a code that we entered on the door keypad upon check in. We didn't have to go to a front desk or get a key from anyone. We had a great week at the condo! Thank you!

Nice condo with lots of space. Kitchen has everything you need. Has 3 balconies to enjoy and is right beside one of the pools. Short walk to the beach as well! The parking spot assigned is also right beside the unit.
Although much of the condo is newly upgraded/renovated, the main floor washroom could be cleaned better or the bathtub upgraded. It smelt mildewy and a bit like urine during our stay. (Also found some used tissues under the mater bedroom nightstand that wasn't cleaned up from the previous guests).
Finally we did find a cockroach but honestly, this seems common in Maui. We had one in all 3 places we stayed including the fancy Westin Kaanapali. We would have no qualms coming back here or recommending it to friends and family.

Loved this condo, great option for families needing some space to relax. Perfect spot next to the pool, short walk down to the beach and into Kihei shops. Breakfast on the balcony, peek around the corner for ocean views. Appreciated the fast internet, large tv with cable, laundry and full kitchen. Can’t wait to come back and stay again!
