Lovely location.

Wonderful property for 4 friends, excellent location, everything we needed.

I wish we had more time to spend in this place. There were beautiful mountainous views. The place was well cared for and the bed was the most comfortable one I’ve slept in recently. The house was easy to find and convenient to Wineglass Bay and the Hazards Hike. I would definitely stay here again.

Large home with living area kitchen and master on 2nd floor offering good view. Ok kitchen. Plenty of beds for large number of guests, but only 2 pillow sheets per paying guest. Requested more pillow sheets, we like three each but they never arrived. Hazard mountain range and bay at bottom of driveway for great evening photos. Trailhead short drive from place to wineglass bay and Freycinet np

Great location, but this property is in terrible condition and need maintenance. had a really bad smell in the downstairs bedroom and toilet was broken and has been for months as we found out by other reviews. Cooking utensils need replacing as they are in poor condition. Rusted old tank water tank make the water not drinkable and need to boil jug ect. Legs falling table and the list goes on. We brought this up with the property manager and got a negative response. House could be good with lost of character but still needs maintenance.

This roomy, comfortable home is in a great location. We were able to easily walk to local stores and restaurants, as well as the beautiful shoreline of Coles Bay.

The house is in a great location and is a good base to explore. It sleeps 8 but that would be most suited to maximum 4 adults. It’s has a good big living area and a lovely balcony.

Relaxing 3 day stay
We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Coles Bay, Clean Cosy accomodation, large enougth for a whole family or just a couple , pet friendly and safe for our little fur baby, close enough to the jetty, cafe and local shop. Did some lovely walks as we were blessed with good weather. House was well equipt with what we needed, loved the open fire the most.
Thankyou for a lovely stay
Kind Regards Gregg, Sue and Opie xxx

Stay elsewhere
We had a great time in Coles Bay, a place which I have been visiting ever since I can remember. However, his is not a review of our holiday. This house is way overpriced, poorly maintained, and poorly appointed. In addition, the property managers are not hospitality people, so you won't be made to feel welcome, with terse "don't" notes around the house.
We were lulled to sleep in our double (not queen) bed every night by the sound of running water in the broken toilet. I guess we were saved the frustration of a broken reading light by not having any reading light at all, unlike the main bedroom (also double, not queen bed) which has been broken for months at least (going by information from the reviews).
The carpet was matted with human hair (long & grey, not ours), and there was even some rice, fleas, and other bits & pieces in it too. All the dishes had a layer of dirt on them and yet we were expected to leave them clean (or be charged extra). Our shower had some long, black hair in it (again, not ours!) So much for Covid cleaning. Only one (of four) of the outside lights was working, and two of the inside lights also weren't working – that’s just lazy management not checking and replacing the globes.
If you would like to cook (and we do), the oven is useless since it doesn't close, and the large element on the 1960s stove didn't work, leaving us with one hotplate and a grill element. This has not been the full list of things broken or not working (or "accidentally missed", as the agents call it), just a sample of things you might find important as a prospective guest.
We don’t mind staying a basic house, and Coles Bay does tend to attract a premium price, but this one is barely functional. We have stayed in holiday houses all over Tasmania over the past few years, from Dover to Stanley – this was by far the most expensive, and none have been in such poor condition. Even sometimes it's the little things that count, like getting just 3 teabags for a 6 night stay (yeah, not a big deal, but not welcoming and not expensive).
On a positive note, the house has a lovely view (don't move the furniture to enjoy it, or you'll be charged extra) and feels quiet and private despite the shared driveway and close neighbours in front. But, so do other houses – so we recommend those ones.

Amazing view and location
Large, clean and comfortable house with breathtaking views. Headland and small pristine private beach at bottom of driveway. Shaft drive from beautiful national park.

Beautiful getaway
Stunning views. Very comfortable, clean, quiet accommodation.

Good and bad, overpriced.
The property is very private and close to the water. It is fairly dated but functional. It could be easily improved by adding somewhere to hang the tea towel, fixing the reading lights on the main bed. Installing a small shower tidy so you can take your own products into the shower. I was told the bed was a Queen but there is only double beds.
The tap water is from a tank we are told. The tank is in such poor condition that I am surprised it holds any water at all. You are advised to boil any drinking water. The water pressure is poor at best and frustrating if any other tap is on. All in all this property needs a lot of love to live up to its description. Disappointed

Family weekend in Coles Bay
Spacious if a little basic house, perfect for a relaxed family weekend. Location is ideal, beds are comfy. The kitchen facilities are quite rudimentary and the shower isn't amazing, but we would stay here again.

Cosy holiday house with a magnificent view
we had a wonderful stay in Coles Bay. This house is in a great location and has a wonderful view of the Freycinet National Park and the bay itself. Sunsets on the front balcony were the best.
