Simple but comfortable, quiet and isolated for those who want silence

Anna is super responsive and ready to help, the apartment is small but equipped in a quiet location. If you want peace and quiet, this is definitely the place for you

The place doesn’t have signs or an official location o google maps, which makes it harder for transfers/transport to find you. Anna was as helpful as possible, but even sharing instructions with drivers I struggled a bit. Be mindful that Ubers do not get there and you need to buy everything you need because there’s nothing around

Nice place with exclusive access to the beach.

The apartment is spacious, with a large bed and a large, well-furnished kitchen that comes in very handy, since there aren't nearby places where to eat. Air conditioning is working fine and the large windows all come with mosquito nets. The location is wonderful, right next to the beach, which is accessible only to the people staying at the local residencies, so it's basically private.

The building overall could use some rework. It's not good-looking compared to others in the area. Sargassum seaweed is each night washed ashore. Nearby properties each morning would clean their beach sides, but, at least during our stay, Casa Kay didn't. The pool is shallow and small. The shower was decent but rather small and water pressure was low.

A wonderful quiet place to stay right on the beach with an amazing view for a reasonable price :-)

The property has a 3 story building that only has 3 rooms right on the beach. Each room has a balcony overlooking the beach. The views are amazing of the sunrise, and it's a great place to relax and watch the surf and the pelicans flying past. There is one other room that doesn't have an ocean view. I highly recommend getting one of the ocean view rooms. The room was not large, but definitely enough for 2 people. It was very clean and has all the essential items. Drinking water is provided. The caretaker Enrique was always available to answer questions, and he brought me a fresh coconut water and a boogie board. One thing to note, he doesn't speak English, but if there is something important he will call Ana who was also very helpful. This all relates to my experience of getting up one morning to find my car battery was dead. The nearest grocery stores and restaurants are in Puerto Morelos which is 15-20 minute drive north. It is best to shop before arriving so you have food, drinks and snacks with you.

Wundervolles kleines Apartment in sensationeller Lage.

Dieses Apartment hat eine atemberaubend schöne Lage - sensationelle Aussicht auf einen traumhaften Strand von der geräumigen, wettergeschützten Loggia im 2ten Stock. Das Haus liegt idyllisch in einer mit niedrigen Ferienhäusern bebauten Gegend - ruhig und Abstand zum Nachbarn, ein Auto ist unbedingt zu empfehlen. Ansonsten - ein grosses Zimmer mit Gepäck-/Ankleideraum & Bad - mehr braucht man nicht um gemütlich zu urlauben. Wir waren 5 Tage hier, hätten es aber auch 3 Wochen gut ausgehalten. Das Bett ist ausgezeichnet, die kleine Küche ist gut für die Zubereitung von Ham&Eggs und Kaffee zum Frühstück, zum Dinner sind wir meist ins idyllische, ca. 15 Minuten entfernte Puerto Morelos gefahren. Nach einem Strandspaziergang freut man sich auf die Aussendusche, den kleinen Pool, Schirm & Liegen sowie Hängematten. Die Klimaanlage sieht nagelneu aus und funktioniert sicher gut, aber wir haben lieber alle Fenster aufgemacht. Die Fliegengitter halten die Moskitos fern, der Durchzug sorgt für allzeit frische Luft. Ana sorgt sich rührend um die Gäste - aufgrund logistischer Probleme (Gepäck, Auto) kamen wir einige Stunden verspätet an - sehr spät abends. War kein Problem. Ach ja - das Apartment war blitzsauber. Lage ist auch ideal für Ausflüge nach Cancun, Tulum oder zur 'Ruta di Cenotes' - mind. ein dutzend Cenotes aller Arten liegen max. 35 km entfernt.

.... ein Restaurant in der Nähe wäre nett, aber das geht nur mit mehr Touristen/Rummel. Und wer will das schon ;-)

Superb

The location and the beach are amazing! If your wish is to escape the chaos and relish in nature and tranquility, then this is the perfect destination. The hostess is welcoming and friendly. Despite the hotel's apparent age, the apartments are clean and well-equipped for a comfortable stay. The only improvement needed is the provision of a designated area for drying swimsuits and other items. We've observed a common issue with this aspect in Cancun's hotels (Yucatan). Thank you! Our time here has been the most enjoyable during our stay on the Riviera Maya.

Aesthetically needs work outside but quite good on inside, patio furniture needs to be upgraded, 2 plastic chairs let the place down, water pressure bad, bare minimum equipped kitchen

We'd certainly keep this place in mind if we come back again.

The location felt very safe (inside a closed gate). I left my computer in the room while away and did not worry at all about someone entering. We enjoyed the quietness of the beach. We pretty much had it to ourselves. Granted maybe we got lucky and other properties were not booked that weekend. Really enjoyed that the TV had access to Netflix. I also want to add that Ana who I believe is the host was very helpful getting me checked in early on the first day and also got extra towels sent up to the room and asked if we needed anything else. Very reassuring having her phone number and also that she could speak English. Lastly I believe the location is super. It's about 25 minutes south of the airport and about 20 minutes north of Playa de Carmen.

The air conditioner was located right over the head of the bed. It worked great and didn't make a lot of noise but personally I never like having a cool breeze blowing on me at night. I made a deflector out of cardboard which worked fine.

Nice private beach

We had unpleasant situation not related to the hotel, but as a result we lost one night in the hotel. We were close to lost even one more cause the host was not really flexible if it comes to the checkin time. I said to the lady that we have a problem with our car and might not be able to checkin before 10 pm. She said if we not manage to checkin before 10 pm we can checkin after 8 am the next day. We were very stressed if we manage to make it. On the checkout she said we can leave the keys on the table and leave the property open. I guess we could do checkin in the same way, only some good will was needed. Update after the owner's response: I know what is the checkin policy, but like I told you earlier, we had extraordinary situation with our car, which nobody could predict. I just asked about some flexibility and your answer was that if we don't make it before 10pm we can start looking for other property for the night. Very helpful...

Everything. This place is paradise. We booked the room overlooking the sea. Quiet place, very peaceful. The apartment had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. All amenities available. Ana was very responsive all the time, and Enrique who works at the property made sure we were always enjoying the place. Hammocks, pool, beach towels, lounges, all is in clean and available. It's part of a hard community so that have us a sense of safety too. Huge comfortable king bed. Great place to get away from the noise and enjoy peace and quiet. ¡Gracias por todo! I REALLY recommend this place if you want to enjoy a sandy beach, quiet atmosphere, and fantastic hosts.

The water pressure was not very strong in the bathroom. I enjoy dim lights at night and the yard was lit very bright at night. Still, very minor details that did not affect our stay. If you're thinking about staying here, just go ahead and book it, you won't regret it.

Nice apartment in front of the sea

The position (we arrived with our car), if you want to sleep right in front of the sea with a great view this is your place. The apartment is well-furnished, has also an iron and other useful stuff.

The shower's strength is not very good, in fact water arrives quite slowly when you're having a shower, so it takes a lot of time to do it.

Chill, relaxing beachfront

Exactly as described and rated by everyone else.. lovely, clean appartments, AC, full kitchen with cooking tools and fridge, purified water, comfy bed. The beach was right by, ocean air, quiet area, clean pool, hammocks, private sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach, clear water (during seaweed season the seaweed washes up in 2days and the beach is cleaned regularly). Absolutely lovely host, Ana even offered picking us up from/to airport which was of a huge help. No hidden costs.

No shops close by, so its just an advise to do grocery before arrival. However you can possibly order food and drinks from the hostel next to the left as well.

Wonderful, exactly what I was looking for

This was the location I was looking for. It was absolutely perfect for us who wanted a place away from crowd and just wanted some peace and quiet. Ana was responsive and Enrique was very very kind. We would definitely book here again.

Inconvenient location and a little disappointing overall

It really is right on the beach. The apartment was relatively clean and comfortable and it was nice to have our own kitchen. Appreciated the water cooler provided.

It’s in the middle of nowhere. No shops or restaurants within walking distance and the beach set up was lacking. Apartments either side had terraces with tiki huts, fairy lights, pools. But we just had three plastic sun loungers, two of which were broken, and an umbrella that were roped off on the beach. The pool is tiny, too small to swim in. The apartment was quite bare and plain, the plumbing wasn’t great.

Perfect beachside apartment, we absolutely loved our stay!

The views, the studio and terrace, the little extras (water, coffee, shampoo). It could not have been any better! We arrived in the evening so didn’t appreciate the view until the next day, but what a view! Sitting on the terrace having breakfast and a coffee was just so special. After a day sightseeing, a beautiful spacious and comfortable place to relax. The bed is huge!

Beautiful location, superb hosts and dreamy balcony views.

Ana was a star, she came to meet us at the entrance and helped answer all our questions, the apartment was perfect, great air con and facilities, we wanted a perfect first stop to relax on the beach before carrying on our tour of Mexico and this was the perfect place! Isla del Secreto is quiet and perfect if you want to get away from the busy-ness of Cancun and playa, sunbathe next to iguanas and expect a few fly overs by the local pelicans, this place is truly tranquil bliss, just a little seaweedy depending on the time of year but that’s just because of the side of the coast we’re on and didn’t impact on our stay at all ☺️ Relaxing on the beach then cooling off in the pool and chilling in the shaded hammocks, our hosts even dropped off some chilled coconuts for us to drink which was lovely! we will be returning to this little spot if we’re here again! Just what we were looking for

Wonderful place to spend a week; quiet with no crowds. Room had everything we needed plus a great view. Enrique & Ana were great! We would return without hesitation. A rental car is a must in order to fully appreciate and enjoy the location (we love Avant Car Rental). Kitchen facilities are perfect for breakfast each morning. Easy drive to Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen or a day trip to Holbox.

Little (almost) private beach paradise

Just wow. Accommodation with an almost private beach and all the facilities you need. The view from the balcony is to die for. Within ten steps you’re diving into the sea. This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed at.

Being so close to the sea, the wind and sound of crashing waves kept us awake at night. But that’s what you get for staying at a beachfront property. The lighting of the apartment could have been more atmospheric.
