Excellent location, excellent hosts (Masha and Harrison), extremely scrumptuous food. You feel at home. Extreme tranquility on Manda Island, away from the hustle and bustle. Hard to beat.

Location of the property is mesmerising. It is right on the sandy beach of Manda Bay, about 30 minute boat ride from the Manda airstrip. Opposite you can see the Shela village behind which the sun sets that you can view from the Mangrove House courtyard in the evening. The property is cared by Mr. Masha and Mr. Harrison who also cook and clean. We loved their cooking so much that even after a round of drinks at a nearby resort bar, we made sure to come back by dinnertime so we could enjoy their meals. There is also Wifi at the property, hot water to shower, toilet papers, and a fan in the bedroom.
The property could use a more powerful inverter backup. It started beeping at 4 in the morning and went off at 5. It is usually always hot on the island so it is impossible to sleep without a fan. The staff houses are about 20 meter away, if you need anything urgently (or like we did at 4 in the morning when the inverter started beeping and it took us 30 minutes to figure out where the sound was coming from), then there should be a bell or something to call one of the caretakers.

The location was breathtaking, perfect place to sit and unwind from your daily busy life. The staff were very friendly, they ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The food was deliciously good. I already want to go back.
4.5
The location is great to avoid crowds and just relax on the beach. Shela and Peponi Restaurant are just across the water so very easy to reach.
It wasn’t a problem, but worth to know that water is limited on the island so water pressure in the shower is quite low.

Proximity to the beach, general environment is calming.
The staff are welcoming, and the meals were delicious.

The staff were lovely- friendly, welcoming, attentive and Masha is a great cook! The food was delicious. Joseph was an excellent front-of -house- so accommodating.
The room was clean, as was the bed linen. Room was cleaned and bed made up every day.
The view is stunning- beautiful sunsets.
The grounds were neat and clean- apart from the main house and kitchen!
Very easy to arrange activities- fishing, taxis.
So peaceful.
Beautiful birds!
The solar power wasn't quite enough to run the fan for the whole night so that affected our sleep quite a bit- very hot!
Such a beautiful place- but a pool would really improve it!
Tea and coffee facilities/fridge for water in the room would be great so we don't have to keep disturbing the staff .
The main house and kitchen are very messy/dirty but didn't affect our stay.
There were another couple staying upstairs for part of our stay and this affects your privacy quite a lot. Not really room for all to relax comfortably outside- only 3 loungers and all very close to each other. Would work well for people who know each other but not ideal for separate couples.

The staff and the food. And the fact that the property was very peaceful.
The bugs.
4.5
Secluded. Safe. Amazing staff and team. Incredible location. Easily accessible location. Total can do attitude from the team and Mashas family....total peace after a turbulent year...thank you and we will be back...
Nothing....would like a little kettle in the room to make own tea and coffee and a fridge freezer access to be able to store things without disturbing Marsha his wife and team late at night!
