LOCATION--This home is located in Lago Vista, which is surrounded by beautiful Texas Hill Country, 40 miles from Austin's downtown 6th Street, 50 miles from the F1 Race Track, and 45 miles from Austin Bergstrom International Airport. You will be close to Hill Country wine tasting or hiking as well as close enough to enjoy many activities in Austin.
SETTING--This home has a very private, quiet and scenic setting located on the North Shore of Lake Travis. The decks look out from our large cove into the main lake towards Hudson's Bend and Emerald Point. Watching the sunrise from any room in the house is breathtaking!
WATERFRONT--Located directly on deep water Lake Travis, our waterfront retreat is a great location for all types of water sports. Steps lead directly from the house down to the private boat dock. Bring your boat or personal watercraft, launch it at the private ramp right next to the property and tie up at the dock for your stay. The boat launch does go dry once water levels are below 665 ft. above MSL but the dock never does. Arkansas Bend Park is 5 min up the road and also has a very nice launch area.
BOAT DOCK--The covered aluminum boat dock is 25' by 30' with an 8' by 30' upper level sun deck. Located in 90 feet of water so it never goes dry.
A neighborhood boat launch is available for use a the end of Beach Road but does go dry once water levels are below 665 ft. above MSL. Arkansas Bend Park is 5 min up the road and also has a very nice launch area when lake levels allow.

What an amazing house, it really made our special trip so wonderful. The location on the lake, the size of the house, the amenities it has are all fantastic.
We were celebrating two big birthdays and wanted a place for us to all relax and spend some quality time together, this place couldnt have been any better for us.
The decks are wonderful, the views are amazing and to have your own dock on the water to relax, swim and have fun was brilliant.
I couldnt recommend this place enough, it really is great for our needs.

This house is so cute with a treehouse vibe. It’s small but they made the best use of the space and our family of 5 enjoyed being close. The hosts are extremely generous with letting guests use their dock, canoe, lily pad, 2 SUP’s and the kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need! Property was very clean and well-maintained. The cove is peaceful and perfect! However, I would not feel comfortable renting here with younger children or elderly. The climb down to the dock is extremely steep with no handrails. There is a sharp drop off with no barrier on the yard under the house or the parking area. We really loved our stay and just pray no one gets hurt at this amazing property!

The house itself was wonderful! Very modern and cozy. The lake level was down a lot so no using boat ramp next to house. We had to travel over an hour for closest ramp which is in no way a reflection of property. Just information for future renters looking for property with boat ramp nearby. With water level so low … the hike from house to boat dock is very strenuous. And steep. In total it is roughly 100 steps up a steep incline. I would not recommend to someone elderly or with small children. The property owner is very quick to reply to any messages or issues. And was very empathetic about boat ramp issue. Also currently, June 2024, construction is going on next door so it is loud and construction vehicles have been blocking the road coming and going from house. All in all, we had a good time, but will check out water levels and other criteria in any future stays.

We had a great stay. The house was very clean house fully stocked with all kitchen essentials, hand and dish soaps and paper products. Boat dock on the lake is beautiful, but challenging to get to. Very steep concrete stairs leading down to it but lots of fun once you get there. 2 paddle boards (decent shape) and a canoe (good shape) were available. Communication with the host Andrea was awesome. She was super responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

House and layout were perfect for our family of 4. My adult son was uncomfortable on mattress in double room, so may be better suited for children. We were there (May 2024) when water was very low. There was plenty of water in the deep cove for any activities, but be aware the stairs down to water level are very steep with no handrails (appx 30 stairs). As water levels (and dock) rise, this would not be an issue.

Host was very responsive to questions. Great communication. Kitchen & grill were equipped with all amenities. Surprised to find Lily Pad and 2 SUPs in addition to listed kayak. Quiet deep cove. Amazing views.
Of note, stairs and ramp leading to dock are a little steep. It was fine for myself and college age kids as we are all reasonably fit.
We would definitely recommend and stay here again! It was a fantastic getaway from the city!!

house was perfect for us. not far from a nice gas station and liquor store. dock is awesome but getting down from the house to the dock is a bit treacherous and steep due to the landscape. if you have any mobility issues or small children this is not a place for you. breath taking views and adorable/quiet neighborhood. clean grill and outdoor patio area.

We had a fantastic stay at North Shore! Everything in the listing's description was exactly as stated. Comfy living, great location and the use of the boat dock was key to making it a perfect vacation. Communication with host was spot on. Can't wait till our next opportunity to come back... and we will definitely want to stay there again!

I just spent a week here with my family, and it was perfect for us! My kids are 11, 8, and 8, and they loved jumping off the deck and swimming in the cove. The house was well stocked, clean, and just perfect for us! It was located just right that we were able to watch both sunsets and sunrises. It was also super close to two boat rental places which we took full advantage of during the week. I would stay here again if possible!

But the quiet and peacefulness of the area more than makes up for the extra drive time.

Beautiful place
The kids had a great time swimming & paddle boating. The water is so clear & green/blue that everyone thought we were on some exotic islands from our pics. I loved the kitchen and everyone enjoyed their stay.
We wanted to rent a jet ski but too bad we are located on “the other side” of the lake, there are only 2 water sports rentals on this side of town and they were fully booked for the day. On the other side of the lake there r at least 20 different places, but they are 50min drive. We didn’t need to rent a boat since our backyard is pretty much a platoon boat, but going jet ski would have been nice. Will plan ahead next time. Other than the being far from things, we loved everything about our stay. The sunrise view is AMAZING! No sunset view other than watching the sun disappear behind a mountain. Wish the sunset view was as nice as the sunrise so I didn’t have to wake up at 6am to watch the sunrise but u can’t have everything.

Family getaway
We enjoyed our stay at your home. It was beautiful. We have rented many homes with VRBO. If I could add a picture of the beautiful sunset and sunrise I would. The house was very clean and updated with new appliances and furniture. The owners were very kind and available for questions. The house is located in a cove that is low key and very nice for swimming and relaxing. We brought our boat and love the calmness of Lake Travis. It was an absolute amazing time. I would highly recommend the house. We will be back for sure!

Home review
Property had cameras and felt like it should have been made known due to privacy issues. I covered them with tissues until we left, I didn’t want people watching us. Also upstairs fan remote did not work and the downstairs remote took some patience trying to get it to cooperate with the three fans it was controlling. Never could turn all of them on. On the first day a friend that was staying with us cut his foot badly on the stairs on the dock and had to go to the hospital, never to come back. Also had a cotton mouth on stairway that we spent a hour trying to run off, only for another to show back up. Another issue we had was that for 2 days we where blocked into driveway due to trucks putting in boats at boat ramp and parking them on the road into the back entrance. Needless to say we had to Uber to the grocery store. Also at night people where fishing and climbing on the dock so we ran them off, they then went to the dock next door.
The stove lights didn’t work, tv was locked out by a code so we couldn’t use it.
Even though these issues and problems effected our stay the home was still very nice and would happily stay there again considering I know what to do to keep from getting blocked in, cut up, bit by snake, bring fire stick, and batteries for remotes.
I have stayed here before with friends and the issues with remotes, tv, parking, and cameras where still a factor.
After all that happened I would still give 4 stars and more if my friend didn’t have a hospital visit due to cutting his foot.
On that note it is still a awesome property. Actually my favorite of all 8 I have stayed at on the lake.

Awesome views throughout
Large and numerous windows and decks on the house, with the property perched on a hilltop, enables wonderful views. House was clean and the double level boat dock was a hit! The only suggestion we'd make would be for guard rails on the underneath driveway and a little more stable way to utilize docking your boat. The crew loved the paddle boats and canoe on the property. All in all a great place!

Right on the Lake, Great Sunrises
The house was well kept and had plenty of deck space to enjoy the view of the lake. Make sure you get up early enough for sunrises, they're beautiful. We'll certainly be looking to stay here again.

Fantastic View--wish the lake wasn't down 20-30 feet
The house is very comfortable with a fantastic view and we had a great time during our visit to Lake Travis. A few pieces of feedback: Since the lake was so low, the walk down to the dock is treacherous (very steep steps) and you must be in good physical condition to make it up and down without hurting yourself. The trek would be very dangerous for small children or elderly guests since the home is on a cliff overlooking the lake. The "private" boat ramp was unusable since the lake was so low and there was no material in the house regarding alternate boat ramp locations or a map to any other nearby amenities. We finally contacted the owner for boat ramp information. If you bring a personal water craft or boat make sure you bring appropriate fenders and tie downs since the dock is currently housing a jet ski and boat. We brought two jet skis that took a pretty good beating against the outside of the dock--but it wasn't practical to load and unload every day. The windows on the house allow for fantastic views of the cove and the lake however the sunrise can be blinding in the mornings and a curtain on the eastern window would have been a nice touch.
All told, it was a good visit and I would recommend it; but beware of the workout to get to and from the dock, the danger for small children and those elderly, and know that you must launch your boat at another location---this would be a 4 or 5 star rating without this issue.
