On the upper level there is a master suite, graced with a king-sized bed and an en-suite bath, ensuring a private sanctuary. An additional bedroom awaits with a queen bed, complemented by a full bath in the hallway. Journeying to the lower level reveals another master suite, adorned with a king and twin bed configuration, alongside an en-suite bath. A third guest room boasts three twin beds, while a fourth bedroom offers a queen bed—providing ample space for restful repose. Please make sure to confirm the dock size, space for tailer parking and if more than one vessel is allowed. This property will accommodate more than one boat for an additional fee.
This property is “dog friendly” so you are required to select the pet fee option when booking if you are bringing a dog. All dogs must be approved prior to booking. There are breed restrictions due to insurance reasons. Pet fee is non refundable & taxable. If you are booking on Airbnb ~ the pet fee will be asked for after booking as it will not be included in total cost. The fee is based on the breed & size. Dog friendly only - NO cats or other animals. Max allowed is 2. Failure to disclose the dog and pay the pet fee will result in a charge up to $500 and asked to vacate without a refund. Plenty of room to spread out,great dock space.
Outdoor ice machine a great bonus.
Second year enjoying this property. Suggestion to stock more cookware, specifically baking sheets and baking dishes. Just want to note that the upstairs outdoor patio handle is missing hardware. We enjoyed our stay

Our extended family flew in from Seattle for a Keys wedding. The Big Kahuna delivered. We spent hours by the pool, moored a rented pontoon boat for daily excursions and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves for a week. The house provided plenty of space for all 12 of us. Bonnie was great to communicate with and was on top of getting quick repairs done when the upstairs AC went out. The house is a bit older, so there are some quirks, but overall the setting was beautiful, the location perfect and we had a fabulous time.

We had a really great stay, the dock made such a difference for us, so easy to bring the boats in and out. The house was a great little beach house, even though it is a rental the little flaws are what make it great! We enjoyed getting up in the morning and having our coffee in the Sun room, playing ping pong and getting some shade by the pool!

Big house for big family
This is a great house for a large family get away to the Keys. However it needs attention the downstairs furniture really needs help, sofa broken, table and chairs wobble, upstairs furniture was nice but the gas stove top needs to be serviced and the refrigerator/ freezer needs to be lined up. Cabinets in kitchen and bathrooms need help and there is water damage throughout the house. Loved the dock, great place to clean fish and big enough for two boats. But then they charge you 200 dollars extra for a second boat. Loved the upstairs deck for evening sunsets. We had a great time and there was room for all 12 of us.

Boaters dream
Great property especially for large family of 12. Rooms and common areas spaced out and large so no one was on top of each other. Ice machine and bait freezer a huge plus. Management on top of calls with questions or issues. Definitely would stay in the future.

Fell just short of expectations
The Big Kahuna is great place for large groups, having several options for sleeping and gathering, as well as being alone. Walking distance to Sombrero beach, as well as a walking path along Sombrero Beach Road. Management provided timely response when contacted.
However, the home needs many many cosmetic fixes.

Beautiful home, ice machine was clutch!! So many great features!
Perfect home for a large family or multiple families and friends, it's huge, very clean, new furniture, the beds are very comfortable. Kitchen is amazing, plenty of room for dining in and has a great area with table and gas grill outside too! It was nice to have an extra refrigerator downstairs to keep the drinks for the coolers. The commercial ice machine is the best, we didn't have to run to the store daily to buy ice this was a huge bonus. With all the fishing we did we were able to fill coolers multiple times, the fish cleaning station on the dock is great! The sunset from the roof top deck is breathtaking!! The location is great, 5 min from the grocery stores and a short walk to a beautiful beach. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back, this house has it all and more!

Property is run down
We arrived for our annual family vacation to find the home very dirty. Cleaning crew obviously did a walk thru. With Corona virus being a serious concern we had to hot to Publix and sanitized the entire place. Smudge marks on the sliding doors. Bathrooms were cleaned of debris from prior party but needed a serious cleaning. The property is showing signs years in the rental market. Not enough dishes, Pool tables sticks all are damaged. Ice maker was not working to say a few. We expected more for the amount of money spent on the unit including the ridiculous cleaning fees. We will look for another place next year.

Nice waterfront home for large group.
Perfect size for our party of 11. Not for anyone who has problems with stairs. Inside is a spiral staircase that is difficult to maneuver. Outside stairs are much better, but since the main living area is on the upper level you walk up and down way too much. Pool is nice and dock has a fish cleaning station. Commercial ice machine was great when it worked but it broke during our stay. The bonus feature is that in the afternoon the entire back of the house is shaded including the dock. When coming in from a day of fishing or diving, it was great to be out of the sun while unloading and/or cleaning the fish. Minor repairs needed but none that hindered our stay. The management team was very quick to respond to anything that needed attention. The location is great. Publix was just up the road as well as Kmart.

Great Fishing House
This house exceeded my expectations. We had 7 people and we didn't feel crammed or in each other's way. The house was clean and the property manager/owner always responded to my message promptly. I really have nothing negative to say about the house. Will stay at this house again if we come back to Marathon.

Good vaction spot!
Overall the property was great!
Best Part:
- It has a nice pool for the kids.
- The rooftop to lay out in the sun is also a nice touch, since there isn't a yard to get any sun.
- Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a group.
- Short walk/drive to the Beach! Less than a mile.
- Kitchen was set up with enough stuff to cook.
- Plenty of towels for the pool and beach.
- Dock was also a nice are, not many fish though :(
Part we didn't like:
- There was NO propane in the grill or backup tank, so we couldn't grill out. Never went to pick one up.
- Sunroom window wasn't fixed and had some safety concerns for kids. (hopefully will be fixed soon.
- Sink was plugged in lower bedroom bath. Wasn't able to get the plug out for a while. Didn't expect to do plumbing work while I was there on vacation. Seemed to have been stuck for a while.
- Was a nice place, but a bit on the spendy side for a week in Marathon.
Overall, all complaints were small issues compared to what you got. It is perfect house for a family or group up to 8! We had two families with 5 kids. Kids loved the pool!!!

Nice house for group our size in a great location
This house worked out very well for our group of 9 adults (4 couples and one single). Plenty of room with nice kitchen, dining area, sitting areas inside and out, and pool. I understand there are new owners of the house so, while there were a few minor issues with the house (a couple ripped screens, dull knives, issue with pool filter), managers were very responsive and looking to improve this house. Just a short walk (10 minutes) from Sombrero Beach and just a short drive to many stores, restaurants, etc. Overall, this house served out group's needs quite well.
