About this cottage rental
We now have air-conditioning ready for your summer holiday!!
Briar Rose Cottages consists of three quaint cottages on the edge of the Stanthorpe township in the Granite Belt Region. The front cottage, ‘The Mulberry’ is a two bedroom cottage and the back cottage, ‘The Silky Oak’, is a one bedroom cottage.
This listing is for the 'The Mulberry'. This cottage boasts a beautifully styled, open plan living area and large front verandah. There are two bedrooms- one with a queen bed and the other with two long singles. The cottage is fully self contained with a modern kitchen; full stove, oven, microwave and a range of cooking utensils and equipment. The cottage features a wood heater making the living room a cosy place to relax. All wood and kindling is supplied. Briar Rose Cottages have been renovated in April, 2016 and feature new furniture and fixtures.
If booking the Mulberry cottage for two guests this will give you access to the living area plus the Queen bedroom only. If you wish to book both bedrooms so that you have a bedroom each you will need to book for three guests and an additional $40 per night will apply.
Minimum three night stay applies over Easter and Christmas periods.
The cottage is set in quiet peaceful gardens where you can sit and relax with your cuppa or glass of wine! We also have a cottage that sleeps 2 people, called 'The Silky Oak', also listed on Stayz.
We are pet friendly (upon application, small pets only and one pet per stay) however the property is not fully fenced. We do request that your furry friends be house trained, kept off the furnishings and do not be left alone while you go out for the day as they tend to fret and get anxious. A $40 surcharge per booking will apply.
Briar Rose Cottages are located just 1km from the town centre and picturesque creek and walkways.

We had a lovely time in the cottage. It was everything we were expecting and more. We will definitely recommend to others.

A lovely little cottage just on the edge of Stanthorpe with everything we needed for a base to explore the area and Girraween National Park. Very clean and neat, with lots of thoughtful touches for us. We are keen to stay again in the winter time to take advantage of the wood fire.

An excellent self-contained cottage on the southside of Stanthorpe. Well maintained and fitted out, very clean and tidy. All you need to bring is some food and drink, as everything else is supplied. Good communication from the owner, Debbie, and there was even a packet of Tim Tams on arrival!!

Would thoroughly recommend staying here. The cottage was set up well.
Had everything we needed and was a great base for exploring around Stanthorpe. Evenings spent sitting around a roaring fire. Looking forward to coming back.

One of the best properties we have stayed in. Thoughtful touches, comfortable beds. Warm with fire place, heaters, electric blankets.
So clean. Thank you Debbie. We will be back!

The property, both inside and outside was impeccable. The cottage was very well provisioned both in terms of supplementary grocery items and living comfort items. All weather conditions were catered for. The owner was quickly responsive to all texts and always helpful. First Class.

Beautiful cottage well appointed, vet cosy. Absolutely enjoyed our stay and will be returning. Debbie the owner could not be more helpful, she was wonderful.

Nice clean place but a bit small for 3 people. All the stones around the cottage are not inviting. A walking path with pavers and perhaps the internet in the cottage would be a great improvement. But anyway we good weather, good wine and enjoyed the weekend.

Briar Rose Cottage was perfect for our family - 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a dog. We appreciated coming to a cosy, neat cottage with a fire warming up the house. It was also a great base from which to explore the area. The owners couldn't have been more thoughtful. Highly recommended, we'd wouldn't look any further for accocmodation the next visit to the granite belt.

Well equipped kitchen.. small but very comfortable cottage and nicely decorated. Had a slow combustion fire lit on arrival which was very welcoming and thoughtful on a cold winters night.. it also has reverse cycle aircon available!

The cottage was gorgeous. On arrival there were fresh flowers and a tray set up with afternoon tea for us. A lovely personal touch. Beds were comfy and everything that you could possibly want is supplied. Unbelievable value for money.
