Had an amazing time at Glen Robin Homestead. There is plenty of room and facilities and the house is in the countryside. There is no wifi and limited phone connection so an opportunity to disconnect from the outside world and quality family time. This cosy farmhouse is well equipped with everything you could need. It is pet friendly accommodation and my 2 Yorkies absolutely loved running around the large enclosed yard.
The cozy homestead was very clean and well-stocked with amenities and kitchen needs.

Like stepping back in time to when we visited relatives in the country all those years ago. Beautiful original old house with period furnishings and decor. But
modern electrics and bathroom. It brought back fond memories. Dark skies, bright stars great to gaze at. And so quiet and peaceful!. Every possible thing is thought of. We just loved it.

Glen Robin is such a gorgeous property. We instantly felt comfortable and at home. It was truly magical waking to the bird noises and nothing else(!) before wandering down to visit the chickens and cows. The house was big enough for all of us to have our own space (8 people).
I would certainly recommend!

Glen Robin is beautiful .. such a quaint, cosy farmhouse which is well equipped in every way. I loved it here ... so peaceful and a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the silence. My dogs were welcomed and loved the huge yard and "chatting" with Velvet and Chester (the Ponies) at the back fence.
Lois is wonderful and so interesting to chat to ... I enjoyed hearing about Glen Robin's history.
I will be going back ... absolutely Perfect !!
Thank you Lois for an amazing few days. Wish it could have been longer. :-)

The home is on a large property with a fenced garden perfect for our large dogs. There has been great attention to making the home comfortable and welcoming. In the cold it was great to have the wood fire burning. There is such a great profusion of bird life we couldn't resist buying seed to place in the feeders. A walk up into the back paddocks and the forest is well worth it. There is so much to visit and do in the Stanthorpe area. It was a wonderful stay.

Quaint and peaceful authentic farm homestead stay
The charm of the property from the moment we stepped in continued throughout our stay. We only had a brief getaway but it was very memorable thanks to the way the owners have kept their family property in excellent, clean condition and as its part of their working farm property. Great place to have a digital detox. Highly recommend to families for a stay to get back to basics and reconnect with one another

Charming house, well kept, pretty rooms and thoughtful extras for the humans and dog.
We loved our house, twenty minutes from town, beautiful rose garden, lovely presentation and cute farm animals at the back fence. The rooms were cosy for the cooler mornings and the back deck a nice respite in the late afternoon. Saw a beautiful sunset and foggy morning sunrise. The amenities for our dog was thoughtful, including rugs, water and feed station and the option to have her inside was good for us.
We enjoyed our visit very much and hope to return in the cooler months.

Old charm cottage with modern comforts in peaceful location
This farmstay has been all we could wish and hope for: the peaceful country-side surroundings, a very comfortable home, a great size fenced backyard for the furry family members to safely run around in, the perfect spot to get away and wind down, close to a variety of attractions and places to visit, if that’s what you are after to entertain yourself. It’s a good home base to visit the surrounding wineries.
The house is clean and very well appointed, the owners have gone through a lot of thought and effort to add extra touches to make the house a home for their guests. In the colder months, the open fireplaces add to the cosy atmosphere. The location is quiet, peaceful and relaxing, mostly only interrupted by the sounds of the farm animals and the local birdlife around us. The pups couldn’t wish for a better backyard to run around and play in, and explore. And even better: they are allowed indoors! (but of course, off the furniture!). They made new friends too: Chester and Velvet, the gorgeous ponies in the back paddock, who love to be fed carrots (hint!).
A few tips: the general entrance to the house is actually the backdoor, while the front door takes you through a bedroom into the house. Mobile phone reception is patchy, depending on your provider, but we found that in the back right hand corner of the backyard all mobiles can get reception. Water supply is from the rainwater tank only, so conserving as much water as possible is the key message, especially during dry spells. The 1 bathroom may be a little challenge when you have a party of 8 staying, but we are sure it’s worth the consideration when weighing up the many positives of this accommodation. It’s no surprise that they get many return visitors year after year, and we may even join that group.

We both love to stay at this property as we feel that it is a home away from home. This is our second visit. The owners are lovely and friendly people. Our two mini poodles love the house and the big yard. It is so tranquil and a great base for the many places of interest to visit in the area. I am looking forward to a longer stay next time, so must book earlier.
