Recently renovated in December 2022, The Garden Apartment is a perfect oasis and would be ideal for a small group celebrating or fantastic for a small family on holiday. A beautiful garden, your own private spa area with sunken hot tub and sauna and parking too. The apartment is a unique holiday let property in Brighton and offers a tranquil and exclusive home-from-home. It has been furnished tastefully to a high standard and offers everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. A garden which is ideal for children too. Very highly recommended.
There are two double bedrooms with double beds. There is a Futon sofa bed in one bedroom and a Futon chair bed in the other.

The apartment is in Withdean, in a very highly regarded district of exclusive homes on the outskirts of Brighton close to Preston Park. Just a short drive to central Brighton and with great transport links on your doorstep. Because it’s on the outskirts of the city centre near Preston Park it’s also not far from the A23/ A22 network.
This makes it really easy to explore other places like Lewes Castle, Drusillas Zoo, the beautiful Sussex Downs and Ditchling Beacon or many other places Sussex has to offer which are ideal for family days out. Preston Park is nearby also and offers great facilities for children and has a cafe. There’s also Preston Manor to visit which is meant to be haunted!
There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. Both bedrooms are spacious; one has an additional Futon sofa bed, the other has an additional Futon chair bed.

The apartment has it’s own private entrance and parking area. Please note there are steps to enter the apartment but once inside it is all on one level.

The apartment is all on one level on the ground floor. There is an open plan living/dining room with a comfortable corner sofa, large wall mounted LCD tv. Large patio doors lead out onto a terrace and the garden. The dining table is of contemporary design and seats 6. The kitchen is small and beautifully finished with colour co-ordinated tiles. Everything you need to self cater is there and there is also a microwave. There is a washing machine and dishwasher.
The Master bedroom is a very spacious room and also has doors leading out onto the terrace. There is a double bed and a Futon sofa. The second bedroom also has a double bed and a Futon chair bed.
The bathroom is a shower room with large shower and wooden seating area. Next to this is the sauna and the spa area with marbled floor and mirrored walls and a sunken hot tub. Doors lead out onto the patio. Enjoy a sauna and hot tub and then relax out on a sun lounger on the terrace, enjoying the trees and greenery while the children play in the garden! Perfect!

It was a lovely flat with plenty of space but we were disappointed with the condition. The shower and toilet were very dirty and the sofa had all the seat cushion zips broken and the stuffing hanging out. Was not worth the money we paid and there was no welcome from the owners or information about local events etc.

Overall the advertised facilities were great, however the whole place in general seems tired and in need of maintenance and an upgrade. Considering there is an £85 cost for cleaning included in the price, I would advise the owner to review they're cleaning teams abilities before a guest arrives. I.e. Cob wens everywhere and a smell emitting from the kitchen. Also on a small note, a lot of travel movement can be heard from the floors above. Generally we were happy with our stay, but in its current state it was not worth the paying the price being asked.

Very nice and peaceful location. Near to all our favourite Brighton hotspots. We couldn't wait to get back to the house every night to use the spa room facilities or just enjoy the living space.

The owner was so nice and helpful - just a call away, and he gave us our full privacy too. Blissful and quiet area - lovely walks. Best place for a business retreat too! The property was perfect for what we needed. The hot tub was excellent. The owner was lovely and was at the end of the phone if we needed them. Tiny picky thing needs mirrors in the bedrooms and maybe location of supermarket and taxi firm to use.

Lovely apartment in Brighton
The apartment is spacious and the hot tub and sauna are such a great addition. The ping pong table and outdoor space are good to have and we had loads of fun staying here. The hosts were easy to communicate with and we’d recommend staying here to other couples and friends.

Really loved our stay here, allowed some good friends to catch up in beautiful surroundings with great facilities.
Our host were present but never intruded. The apartment is a little gem. The hot tub is great, the garden is great. The whole thing was wonderfully relaxing and good fun.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in Brighton
Die Unterkunft kann man empfehlen. Das Haus ist ruhig gelegen und nur ein paar Fußminuten von der Bahnstation Preston Park entfernt. Dadurch konnten wir unser Auto stehen lassen und bequem einen Ausflug nach London machen. Whirlpool und Sauna waren super, denn wir hatten typisch englisches Wetter und konnten uns dort wieder aufwärmen. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und gut für bis zu sechs Personen geeignet. Ein paar Abstriche mussten wir bei der Sauberkeit machen und durch den Whirlpool roch es anfangs nach Chlor. Der Vermieter war sehr nett und kommunikativ. Das hat alles super gepasst.
Alles in allen war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in Brighton.

Fabulous property furnished to a high standard, jacuzzi and sauna are amazing!
We had a lovely few days here, the apartment is fab and the sauna and jacuzzi make it a very special time away. Close to Brighton, we took the train in which took 4 minutes. The owner was very communicative and helpful. As others have said, you can here noise from upstairs but this didn’t bother us at all.I would highly recommend this property.

Overall me and my family of 5 enjoyed our stay here. We were welcomed with a bottle of prosecco, which was a fantastic site after driving 4 hours. The owner welcomed us and showed us how to use the steam room and hot tub. Once owner left I noticed sticky coffee stains on the coffee table where the bottle of prosecco was. I promptly cleaned it up. I also noticed someone's fish and chip wrapper was left in the trash can. Not usually a big deal, but the kitchen trash can is small and as I mentioned we are a family of 5. My husband also noticed an empty beer bottle outside our door and picked it up. Also, when he took the trash down he noticed trash thrown all about. If the owners addressed some of these house keeping issues, this place would of been perfect and received a 5 star rating from me.

Perfect place for a weekend.
Beautiful accommodation is set within a large family house. The garden flat is lovely with use of a gorgeous garden.
Val and Pete are perfect hosts, very welcoming .
Greeted with a lovely bottle of prosecco and super comfy beds, we could not ask for more.
We did not use the sauna or jacuzzi however looked fabulous .
Devil's Dyke on South Downs 5 minute drive away. 30 minute walk into town.
The only small downside is noise from above when people are walking about. However understandably as it is a family home. Apart from that, a perfect stay.
We would recommend.

Excellent property, everything you need and spotlessly clean
We had a wonderful long weekend in this property and certainly hope to return sometime in the future. The garden was absolutely beautiful and my grand children loved it , the views were terriffic. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotbtub was great after endless walks around Brighton. The property was very close to Brighton which was handy.
