This property is definitely in one of the best spots the Outer Banks has to offer. Located very centrally in Salvo, Frisco to Duck are both manageable drives away. The house is within walking distance to a local convenience store/gas station, and very manageable walk to the beach.
Backyard is a gem, nice little pool and hot tub. Great for dogs and kids. Although, the propane grill downstairs needs to be removed - not only was it out of gas but it was so rusty from the ocean humidity it is unusable.
The biggest opportunities for improvement are in the house itself. For a relatively new build, the property shows much more wear than it should. If things not being super clean and a little bit of surprise ants don’t bother you, then it’s worth the stay - maybe just not the price point they list it at during the busy months.

The house is beautiful, but was much closer to the main road than expected which made sitting on the porch a challenge. The weather was just horrible, thanks hurricane Debby, so we decided to leave mid-day on Tuesday. A much shorter vacation than expected.

We enjoyed our week long stay. The house, pool, and spa were clean. The pool and spa were well cared for throughout the week. The walk to the beach was short and convenient. The size of the house accommodated our needs. The WiFi was spotty throughout the house; otherwise everything was as expected. I do agree with some of other reviews posted- the pots and pans are old, and it would be nice to have chairs available for those coming from a distance.

Amazing house for our group of 11. Plenty of room for everyone with a great location. The pool and hot tub, outdoor space, and proximity to the beach was perfect. We all really enjoyed the stay and the house.
Our only complaints are the lack of some basic necessities such as extra bath towels, hand soap in the bathrooms, and toilet paper. The pots and pans in the kitchen and outdoor grill need to be replaced. It would also be nice to have some basic beach supplies available such as chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels for those coming from out of state.
Overall, absolutely amazing stay and we would come back again!

Our group of 8 (and our pup) enjoyed the house and its multiple communal spaces, easy walk to the beach, clean hot tub and heated pool (happy we paid for this!) The host was very communicative and helpful - we had a few cleanliness issues upon arrival but they were quick to respond and resolve the issues. The kitchen was stocked with empty utensils and appliances to get us through the weekend, and the 2 fridges and 2 dishwashers were helpful for a big group. Overall very happy with our stay!

We had a great stay. This house was perfect for our big family vacation of 15 people!

Lovely home. Some wear and tear but no complaints. Everything in working order. Short little walk up the street to the path for the beach. Our early spring break weather didn’t lend itself to a beach day but the hot tub got used. My nephew spent time in the pool even when it was 55 and windy.
The only quibble I have on the listing is that the property that was indicated on the VRBO map shows this as one of the two beachfront homes in the court. I knew from looking in Google maps that it was one of the ones closer to the highway so I was not surprised.

House was not properly cleaned. Dead roaches in the window seals, showers, and against the wall. The outdoor shower was a mold nightmare and dangerously slippery. The pool was not heated as described in the description. They only provide one towel per person for five days. The house was not the house in the pictures on this. Floor plan was the same though. This is confusing when trying to find the house. WiFi is awful and slow as dail up.

Nice area, awesome views from the multiple balconies, especially of the sunset. A few things need attention, the grill needs to be lit manually as the wires for the electric starter are frayed and don’t work, there was a second dishwasher that didn’t work and had old food in it and smelled, and the hot tub wasn’t usable as it needed cleaning. But otherwise everything went well, and we had a great time!

The house is nice, much more steps than I am use to get up and down stairs. Next to the highway so you do hear traffic noise, but not bad. Was happy to have a view of the bay side of the ocean from the top deck, and could see the sunset on a clear night. the house is spacious for the 12 of us,{3 to 66}. About a 5 minute walk to the beach, which was not bad. the local convenience store and crab shack within walking distance was handy. the pool area and pool is nice. the house is pretty clean, but the sofa sectional is pretty dirty and smelly, the house needs some minor repairs, but not too bad. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here.

Great location. Property was nice. A couple things could use some maintenance but over all great stay and would go back.

Overall, our stay was fine. For the home being relatively new, it is showing some wear and tear. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to walk to the beach. Beach access is a path at the end of the cul-de-sac that leads to a wooden walkway.
The bedroom on the third floor is spacious. The bedrooms on the second floor are a little tight, as is the bedroom on the first floor. The game room was a nice touch; however, the foosball table is broken; the shuffleboard table needs leveled and the sawdust can was empty. The felt on the pool table is stained and there was no chalk for the cues.
The pool was dirty, and the pump was not working due to a tripped breaker. We reset the breaker three times before it finally stayed on. The hot tub pump did not work. We called the number to report it and a repairman showed up 2 days later; he had to replace the pump. We did not request the pool heater, so we have no comments about that. The pool water temperature was fine without the heater. The kitchen stove needed cleaned as well as the pantry. All pots and pans had to be thoroughly cleaned before use. One dishwasher did not work. We didn’t report it, but a repair man showed up late week and repaired it. The grill has seen better days and could only be used with putting foil over the rusty grates.
The house has great views of the sunset, but you cannot see the ocean or sunrise. If we stay on Tarheel Court again, we will probably try to get a house further down the cul-de-sac.

We had a great time, the property and location was close to the beach and beautiful. The online pictures were inaccurate and out of date as far as the number of property's close to the house. The Master Bedroom was very spacious but the others were very tight as far as room to walk around bed. Don't expect soap and shampoo containers to work...they were all clogged up and not working. They did send someone to fill them but they could not be filled. We enjoyed it very much!

House is great and very clean. But hot tub didn’t work on the first day but they came out the second day to fix it. Then on the morning of our second day, wifi went down and because of location phone signal was limited so hardly could use the phone and no tv since tv is WiFi operated. Contacted maintenance and they said someone will be out the next day but then next day they rescheduled for someone to come out on the day we are checking out. The morning of us checking out I received a text message saying someone will be out later that day but what is the point. All the hand soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers are empty, not that we use them but it should be filled. But overall we had a great time.

Nice size house and a very short walk to the beach.

Nice place, close to beach. Had a great stay.

Overall property was dirty, as in has not been dusted in months, dirty sox under 2 different bedrooms, floors were not vacuumed bathrooms had not been wiped down and it was very clear that no one had been in the home to do a once over in months due to the water in the toilets crusting over, the dispensers for the "complimentary" soaps in the showers was empty in some of the bathrooms, 2 of the Females that were with our group went out and had to purchase cleaning supplies just to do a once over in the kitchen and bathrooms,
the hot tub had sand in the bottoms of all the seats and the basin, no hint of chlorine in the tub was present, the downstairs game room had 8 dead palmetto bugs along with other misc. small debris on the floor, the kitchen table was broken where the leaf slider attaches to the table, no attempt from anyone at Kees Vacations was made to fix this prior to our arrival
This trip was meant to be a first impression for a startup company and with my investors, To say they were disappointed is an understatement

Family Vacation
House was great- just as described. Location to beach was perfect. When we arrived we explored the house and found some damage in two bathrooms. Reported it but it took a few days for property manager to send someone to check it out. The bedroom suites were great. The grand children loved the bunk room! Everyone loved the pool and hot tub. The top floor was an amazing gathering space. The decks and game room gave everyone a space to hang out. For five of the adults, it was a working holiday. Their main complaint was the wi fi signal was weak and kept dropping them. Access to the internet was not available in all parts of the house. Overall, it was a great week in a beautiful house.

So Disappointed
This property was filthy. Housekeeping did clean the commodes and showers, and kitchen counters but that was it. Beds were surprisingly comfortable. Pool was clean and pool heat was functional, hot tub was nice. There was dirt and food on kitchen baseboards. Marks all over the walls, crumbs on the floor. Kitchen was NOT well appointed; in fact, there were only 5 drinking glasses. Cookware was beat up. Dishes had chips and cracks in most. The family room furniture was stained. Windows haven’t been cleaned probably since it’s been rented. Hard to believe this is a three year old property. Shows and lives much older. Obviously caring for their investment is of no concern, just make as much as you can from anyone unfortunate enough to rent it. Save yourself the aggravation and disappointment and book something else.

Pool/ hot tub not recommended
The house was in a great location but very disappointed with the cleanliness and the outdoor amenities. Paid extra for pool heating (it would start heating up and then a breaker would blow and the process just kept repeating). Hot tub wasn't working the 1st day but was fixed on day 2 and usable day 3. Maintenance didn't respond to second check for pool heat so we gave up.

Great Property.
Great Property, Little Issue with the payment schedule but we worked out. The cleanliness of the property was good but needs a real deep clean. Overall was a great property for what we wanted and would stay again.

What needs to be addressed
For the most part the house was a success, plenty of room and the pool was a plus. We were told there was concierge service that include garbage removal and tent and chair set up on the beach. None of this happened. The trash no big deal we handled that however, I email about the beach and my husband left a voice mail, neither of us were contacted and we never saw any tent that was tp be provided. It would have been a good perk. My advice is don't promise things you can't provide and some rebate would be great but I feel that won't happen.
One other thing have housekeeping dust the ceiling fan blades that are all dusty.

Lunasea
We absolutely loved Lunasea!! It has such a cozy at home feeling which was an important aspect for us. It’s located in the perfect area, not too crowded and not too far from stores/shops🙌🏼 The drive is beautiful and overall completely worth every penny😍

Honest Review
The house was newer construction and was spacious. The house is nicely decorated and my kids loved the basement with the pool table, shuffle board, etc. The kitchen had the bare necessities stocked (I've seen more and less stocked at other houses). The kitchen came with one new roll of paper towels, a few dishwasher pods, one loads worth of laundry detergent and a handful of coffee pods. The living room furniture was nice and comfy. The bathrooms each came with a new roll of toilet paper. The beds came with sheets and duvets and each room came with one towel set per sleep setting. The room with the bunk beds is super tiny and is literally right next door to the master. Also, the door to get to the balcony is in the bunk room which I thought was odd. I made my kids sleep upstairs in that master to get away from us :-) We had two visitors, one spider and one roach. I was not happy about the roach. The entire place needs a major wipe down meaning a deep clean- the cabinets had smears and the sliding door tracks and window sills had bugs. The beach was a short walk down the road, however there is no sign to indicate the public access right of way and was tricky to find. Ok, so on to the kicker, the house is on the lot one away from the road. The lot next to it is it empty and you can hear the traffic clear as day from the house and will wake you up bright and early (5:55 for me each day). The rooms do not have blackout shades so the sunshine will help you rise and shine. I honestly feel if there was a good deep cleaning, and sun/noise shades on the windows, this would be a keeper.

Family Getaway
The property itself was wonderful. The only negative comment is concerning the cleaning company that is hired to CLEAN. An actual CLEANING needs to be done and NOT JUST STRAIGHTENING UP! Too much dust build up on lamp fixtures, ceiling fan blades and window sills. There are a pair of sandals under the sofa, not sure how long they have been there. EVERYTHING ELSE is absolutely GREAT!

Great Place!!
The house was in a great location! Short walk from the beach and the pool was awesome. The kitchen is beautiful and we loved the balconies. The cabana wasn’t up for one of our days at the beach which was a bummer. But we had a fantastic time at this house.

Great Location
Beautiful house, loved all of the king sized beds and onsuite bathrooms. No one felt like they got the bad room. Great location plenty of places nearby to purchase supplies and food. Paddleboard rental place across the street was so fun. Waves and beach were awesome, loved that there was a beach service. We didn't get the welcome email and had to call to request it, therefore we didn't know there were no beach towels and we flew in from Oklahoma. Limited number of towels, but there is a washer and dryer, however, limited supply of soap and softner. Still this was a great house all of needs were met it was accurate to the descritpiton and we would stay here again.

Lunasea aug 2020 stay
The house was beautiful with great access to the beach and beautiful pool. Did not feel it was cleaned properly prior to our arrival. Bathroom showers had hair in the drains and floors, kitchen cabinets were sticky to the touch. We saw cockroaches every night. Be sure to arrive exactly at 4 and not any earlier as there is not room for early check in. The cabana service was excellent and Graham was super friendly. Location was perfect with local supermarkets within a 5 min drive. Would return to OBX not sure if I would go with a Kees rental home again.

our only complaint was the water bugs, when we reached out to the property company they ignored our concern.

Great place for a great price
From the communication of the company to the overall cleanliness and up to date utilities in the house this place is a must book for families looking to have a memorable time by the beach!

Great for large families!
New house with lots of room for a big family. Great lower level game room and outdoor hot tub. Quiet location but longer drives to go see the sights, even without traffic you can expect 45 minute drive to Kitty Hawk, Jockey's ridge, some of the lighthouses. If you are strictly looking for the beach you will love it!

Perfect family vacation
Stayed at this property with extended family-can’t day enough good things! Plenty of space for our large group and everyone had a king bed (which is hard to find!) House was just as described, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

Good but.....
The house was clean and our stay was nice. Wish there were more towels and washcloths for showering. Was disappointed with the pictures on the web site. Made it appear that we could stumble out of the back of the house and walk into the ocean. Also wish there were dish rags and dish towels. Cupboard doors were a little loose (which I tightened up). And for a new build I was shocked to see how many cockroaches there were. We stopped counting after the first dozen during a three day stay. Loved the house overall. Very beautiful, and met all our needs. Thanks for a wonderful family experience.
