Clean reasonably priced privates. Kitchen facilities. Lovely terrace in front of some of the rooms with hammocks and seating. Bright and spacious Hostel.
Was a little bit of a walk from the Main Street. Very quite for those looking to meet other people. Perfect for someone looking for a quiet place to relax. Kitchen could of been a little cleaner.

I did not stay at this actual property. When I arrived, the owner, who was drunk, had me go to another property where I stayed. the other property was NOT of the same level.
No communication from the property until arrival.

Our stay at Antares Paracas was excellent, we were looking for somewhere quieter and set back from the main Street after being woken up by noisey people and the road at Paracas Backpackers and Antares was a relaxing quiet haven after that! We had a room on the terrace with beautiful sea and dune views that was light and breezy. The kitchen had what we needed and the hostel manager was soooo friendly and helpful! There are cheaper and better places to eat in this more hidden back part of the town than you will find on the main strip as well as good grocery stores. We would definitely stay here again.
No improvements, it was great!

The owner was kind and helpful (but you need to speak Spanish), waited for us after the checkout time and let us use the storage for free. The location was good - in a quiet street with several low budget restaurants and shops, 6 mins walking from the city centre.
The room was small and without proper ventilation, there was no ladder for the upper bed and climbing it took some acrobatic skills, using the lower bed as a trampoline. The view is towards the main corridor, where everyone walks. The shared bathroom and toilet are outside and didn't have any space for leaving your clothes.

We had booked a room at "Antares Paracas".
One day before our arrival, we received an email with the information that we should please first come to the "Paracas Backpackers House".
At this point, we still assumed that we would only pick up the key there and then be taken to our accomodiation in "Antares Paracas".
Upon arrival, however, it turned out that the Antares is currently not habitable due to "technical construction work" and we should instead stay at the "Paracas Backpackers House".
This hostel is well located and has nice common areas including kitchen, but -as the name suggests- it is a classic backpacker accommodation. To the time of our stay it was very crowded, many people wore no masks and the walls are very thin.
We had actually chosen the "Antares" because we wanted to stay a little quieter.
Therefore, it has annoyed us very much that until our arrival in Paracas was not transparently communicated that the "Antares Paracas" is currently not available at all.
We do not understand why the hostel is bookable online at all, if an overnight stay there is not possible at the moment.
All in all, our stay for 3 nights at the "Paracas Backpackers House" was quite ok, even though it was not as quiet as we had wished for the days in Paracas.
We also booked a tour through the hostel, everything went smoothly.

Nice view over the oasis, very empty hostel. I booked a seven bed dorm and had the whole room for myself.
The showers had almost no water pressure and were cold

hostel itself is fine (maybe just annoyingly slow wifi). what i am very unhappy is the owners (alberto) atitude about what happened during one of the tours that i booked with him.
i am not gonna go into details, but long story short - i was left all alone in the middle of the desert by a tour guide. i fell asleep, and he was so lazy and irresponsible to leave me there although it would take him a minute to find me (the beach was tiny with no more than 30 people in it). i was 10 meters away from a car! guide had no idea and didnt care what happened to me! maybe i drowned, lost consciousness, or something else happened to me. MARICRIS is the company. never book anything with them. oh and they lied that they were looking for me, waiting for 20min, calling me. other people from a group said that he waited 5min and left even though he was warned that one person is missing.
now about alberto. he never admited that tour guide did something wrong, switching between "i wasnt there, i am not a tour company" and "it is your fault because you were not on time". it means that hostel manager has the same atitude as tour company and wont be on your side if something will happen to you. NEVER STAY AT THIS HOSTEL! and backpackers hostel (the actual place where i was staying).
PS alberto, if you are reading this, then i have a little task for you. please finish the sentence:

A surprising arrival in a very clean white bright building, nice seating area downstairs and good kitchen. View from the roof of the bay so if you can request a room there (only for the shared bathroom, private rooms I think). The manager Manuel is super friendly and always helpful.
