Little disappointed
The ability to get to restaurants etc in the harbour was poor as very long way down and steep climb up. No smart TVs no Spotify on Alexa and the request to leave apartment clean was unacceptable as would have better service from a hotel and the price paid was high end and expectations were not met.

Beautiful apartment!
Amazing view! it does get really warm on a hot day though. We'll equipped kitchen, views from the bedroom but the shutters block out the light well for sleeping.
At time of writing the check in time advertised was incorrect - they advertised 3pm but it was actually 5pm. Thankfully the place was ready early, but untill it's fixed on the website watch out.
Would definitely visit again

1. The location is great for the harbour and the views are stunning, but unless that's all you're going for, there's not a ton to do in Torquay proper. Be prepared to drive around/travel if you're going for a few days. We took the ferry to Brixham for a change of scenery.
2. Parking isn't brilliant. When we arrived (an hour before 3) we opened the key safe and there was a key for a parking bay included. However, someone (who didn't identify herself) happened upon us and took the keys saying the apartment hadn't been serviced yet. She told us free parking was on the street. When we returned, the parking bay key was no longer in the safe.
3. The kitchen has most of what you need, but bring your own tea, coffee, and milk, even if you won't be completely self-catering. I may be a tea/coffee snob, so take that as you will. Quality just wasn't brilliant.
4. The bed is on the hard side, which was ok for us, but not everyone would sleep well on it. Also, I recommend bringing your own pillows. The ones provided are hard and flat.
Overall, it's a nice apartment: clean, though getting to be a bit 'well loved' (the photos on most websites reflect a new apartment, I believe) I wouldn't call it five-star digs, but if you want a location convenient to the Torquay harbour and nice views, this is your place.

No.10 is a property with amazing views. Walls are looking a little tired and the bathroom a little dated. We would of liked a few more cleaning products for kitchen. Was hard to clean the cooker. The property was extremely clean.New batteries will be required for TV remote control. The presseco left for us was a lovely gesture and we will recommend it

10 Astor House, Torquay
The apartment is lovely with fabulous views across Torquay bay, this does mean though that you get some traffic noise but nothing extreme. The apartment was clean but not immaculate as there were some old dusty parts to it and some dirty plates in the cupboards. Facilities wise it was perfectly adequate and the living area furniture was comfortable. Our daughter came to stay with us unexpectedly and Jaqui the house manager delivered a fresh set of linen and towels with no hassles.
Sadly due to the extremely uncomfortable bed, road noise and communal bin area at the rear of the property where the bedroom is situated I wouldn't stay in this particular apartment again but would stay higher up in the block.

Location location location .... A real stunner with breathtaking views
Open lounge with balcony with amazing views. Everything you need for a delightful break. We paid extra for parking and was glad as in August the road was busy with cars already parked. Walking down to beach front easy 5 minute walk down and hilly walk back so we tended to leave the car and get a taxi back usually less than £5. Best places to eat turn left and left onto sea front. Stunning bays breathtaking.
All restaurants here have comfortable seating with sea views. We took £3 return boat to Brixham approximately half an hour really worth doing. Other trips easily available for days out. Will be back. Jeanette

An amazing and beautiful apartment. A stunning location and view.
Yet another wonderful stay in Astor House, apartment 10. We have stayed at Astor house every year for 6 years now and we keep coming back so that says it all really.
Stunning views from the apartment and the spacious balcony. Perfect location to access the bars, restaurants, harbour and beach. Parking available for £35 for the week with allocated space and lockable bollard so nobody can pinch the space.
We didn't use the kitchen much but it's got everything you need, including a washing machine should you need it. All essentials are provided (iron, board, hair dryer, airers, bedding etc). A lovely touch was the bottle of prosecco with two glasses and a bottle of milk in the fridge!
Jackie (the lady who looks after the apartments) was very helpful when I called to arrange checking in.
A very pleasant stay and we a booking again right away for next year.

location excellent/ poor leval of cleaniness
The location over looking Torquay seafront was excellent. However for the rates charged we thought the level of cleanliness would be of a high standard, however we found a list of issues including - dust on television/table, mirrors not cleaned, roasting dishes not washed, rubbish found under cupboard in living room, grease along ledge of worktop, mould and dirt gathered inside shower screen at bottom, skirting board at back of bed covered in dust.
It is our opinion that the apartment had not been properly cleaned before our arrival..

A wonderful Birthday Weekend Away
10 Astor House is a wonderful apartment to stay in whilst holidaying in Torquay.
The view from the balcony is truly spectacular.
The apartment is possibly a little small for 4 people, but was certainly ok for the weekend - it did look bigger on the pictures.
Some opening windows in the main living area have been most welcome, as the apartment did get rather hot and stuffy.
The bathroom was very clean and the toiletries were lovely. It was nice to have big bath towels.
Number 10 is very well located for the town, the walk down through the garden was a welcome shortcut.
We slept very well - the apartments were very quiet.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and are keen to visit again.

Apartment 10 Astor House
We have just returned from a lovely weeks holiday at Astor House in Torquay. This is our fourth time we have stayed at this accommodation and as before the Wow factor was present. We always book a sea view apartment but this time booked early enough to get apartment 10.It was stunning, very spacious, views second to none with large wrap around balcony.spotlessly clean and provided with towels, tea towel, toiletries (If needed), full size hairdryer and complementary tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and fresh milk on arrival to mention but a few.We definitely will be booking again and would highly recommend Astor House.

Nice place to stay
Great apartment and view. Nice and clean too. Would recommend you pay the bit extra for parking as it can get busy on the road. We even had a pet seagull for the week who knocked on the window for food every morning.

2016 May holiday
Astor House is ideally situated in the beautiful 'English Riviera' town of Torquay. We were particularly attracted to the spectacular views over Tor Bay from the apartment. Its location enables easy travelling to and from surrounding places of interest. There are excellent local establishments for dining out, entertainment etc. Overall it provided us with a complete and satisfying holiday experience.

Astor House Apartment 10
This was a very reasonably priced apartment in a stunning location. The patio area was fantastic with incredible views out over the bay.
The apartment itself was very pleasant, if slightly smaller than the website pictures dictate. I would say that if some small details could be addressed, then the overall experience would be greatly improved.
1) The TV while watchable had some issues with a broken screen.
2) While there is a washing machine provided, there was no washing powder!
3) One of the sunloungers was broken.
4) Even though it is described as sleeping upto 4 people, you need to pay extra for bedding for the pull out sofa bed.
5) Some stains on the walls of the apartment could have been cleaned off or painted over.
These little issues did not detract from our enjoyment of our holiday but would make us think twice about going back.

Amazing location
Stayed in appartment for 3 nights, enjoyed every minute of our short break. Had everything we need, but would be nice to have kitchen roll and box of tissues. Its just one of those things I need to have, but dont mind to take with me next time tho. Appartment was cleaned to acceptable standard, but improvements could be made. We just loved the location and view so much that few little things didnt matter for us on this occasion.

Stay in torquay
fantastic views and nice modern apartment. Excellent location.
Very nice touch with milk, teas and coffee. Much appreciated.
Clean and well appointed.
Only slight suggestion would be that some refresh may be needed prior to next season. Some rusting in the bathroom, outside furniture etc. All bearable but may need to be looked at.

Great location
Great location with wonderful view of the harbour. Apartment was well equipped & very clean. Car parking was available which was good as it was some distance to walk to the main area.

Excellent location and fantastic wiews.
Would recomment this apartment and will look to stay again. We ere two adults and loved the apartment and view. Very functional and a short walk to town for pubs and restaurants. Only minor suggestion was swap the washing m/c for a dishwasher as more practical.
