Fox Tails everywhere, and you get a 1/4 of a garage not a cottage house. Ants everywhere in the kitchen, and we did not bring food! Never should of canceled my reservation at the Beach Comber.

We enjoyed staying there and will be back.

We enjoyed our stay in this cute little garden cottage. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The garden was bursting with lovely lilies, fuchsia, and rock roses. Close to Little River, Mendocino, and state beaches/parks.

Loved this cottage. Close to restaurants, golf, kayaking. Would definitely recommend.

Funny little lock key box, took a minute to figure how to use it.

Super cute little spot. Close to tons of hiking and wildlife. Beach is just below. Heater works amazingly well. The BBQ is great for a camping out feel.

A little scruffy but you’re in a world class destination and what do you really need beside a hot shower(on demand), a queen bed that’s comfy and a little table and chairs by the barbecue w/a fenced private yard for man’s best friend! We loved it as a jump off to this amazing California Coast.

I had the pleasure of a five-night stay in the garden cottage. Perfectly suited for a solo stay. It is roomy enough for two, but bear in mind that it is compact. The deck and garden expands the space. Probably best functions as a base while getting out and exploring during the day. The well water is excellent and very palatable right out of the tap. No sulphury or metallic taste. Have a little patience with the on demand hot water and you're good! Very private. Some traffic noise that tapers off at night. Otherwise, peaceful and quiet. I really enjoyed the sound of the wind in the trees, hummingbirds and butterflies in the garden and curious chipmunks (Ground squirrels?). Very accessible to Mendocino town, rivers, beaches, restaurants, shopping and hiking.

A bit confused between Ocean Cottage and Garden Cottage since Ocean Cottage had the address on the wall. Great memories of long Mendocino weekends when I was a child. A few ants in the bathroom. The refridgerator was so cold it froze my vegetables. I would stay here again.

It was a place to stay and was very quiet - however there is definitely a mouse and ant problem.

The location is amazing, right off HWY 1. The garden area was the best thing about this place. Fenced off for my small dog to run around. Other than that, nothing spectacular. You are renting a studio that is an add on to a garage, on the same property as the main house that may or may not have renters there at the same time as your stay. Strange setup in my opinion. Better than a Motel 6 but I agree with others that for the price, I expected more. The main house looks nice and worth renting, if again you don’t mind having strangers on the same property as you, which could happen if you don’t rent out both the main house and garden cottage at the same time. Overall, nice location and yard but I would pass on this and try and find something else if visiting the area again in the future.

I did not love anything! There are no numbers on the house to locate it. I was charged 324.00 for a booking/cleaning fee.
Never again will I use Vacasa! When we called to ask about the address of the cottage the woman was rude and could’ t tell us anything about the cottage. Very bad experience.

It was of the highway enough to be quiet and had been cleaned before our arrival. It was adequate in most aspects. The fence will not keep a small/medium dog in. There is an ant problem also. I never give a 5 of 5 rating. I would rate overall at a 3 because of the ants and fence issues.

Overall a little small. Great privacy and lovely garden. Converted garage with garden deck and off-street parking. 10 miles from Mendocino. Clean and cosy.

My husband and I were looking for a quick get-away for a few days to escape the scorching Lake County heat, and found this place. It was the perfect location for access to the Mendocino coast, and its affordability made a multi-night stay viable.
The room is a generous size, and tastefully decorated. Love the flooring and the lack of carpets. The walk-in shower was a powerful, warm and welcome experience after an afternoon of ocean kayaking! The queen bed was "just right" and provided a great night's sleep for the both of us.
Remember to take a photo of the access code, so you don't inadvertently lock yourself out ;)
No more day trips to the coast for us - we'll now book an overnight here to savor our short breaks just that little bit longer!

My husband and I had a beautiful week in this lovely garden cottage! It was so private and quiet that we were able to turn on 'relax mode' almost as soon as we got there.

The first two pictures about the property are VERY misleading. There is NOT an ocean view from the cottage. The garden is unkempt and overgrown with weeds. It's small and cramped. Problems with the shower handle coming off when turning the shower on. The shower floor is not level and does not drain on one side. Chairs were low and hard to get up from. Not recommended for older or handicapped people.

We wanted to get away for a long weekend and this cozy cottage was just right. Nothing fancy but quiet and right off the main road.

Quiet and comfortable. My friends booked a stay in Albion and I wanted to join them. They stayed right on a cliff les than a mile away directly above the crashing waves with gorgeous views. While Albion Garden Cottage doesn’t offer these spectacular views it has a lovely cottage feel in one of the most beautiful places on earth!

Beautiful location and just the perfect size for a small getaway. Close to Mendocino, Little River, Fort Bragg and all the wonderful parks.
The rental itself is nicely equipped with some kitchen supplies for cooking and cleaning, although it is outdated and has some repairs that should be made. Poor lighting outside for the evening, it’s bright porch light or nothing some small deck lights would do the trick. The shower handle is broken and on backwards as well as a broken bathroom sink handle. The bed is saggy and the linens do seem like they could be refreshed, There is a definite problem with ants inside and make sure you keep the outside garbage lid locked so the critters don’t get in it. The garden could use some upkeep for the ambience as it is listed as a “Garden Cottage”
I’m not a fussy person and none of those things deterred me. I still enjoyed my stay very much and just noted these things and made adjustments.

This small mother in law unit is exactly as described. Quiet, Quaint, and Quinticential. No frills. What we needed for a quick weekend to the coast.

We loved the cottage… and the location. There was fog in the morning in Mendocino and no fog at the cottage. The restaurant across the street is superb and it is convenient to the grocery store for coffee in the morning. We loved the fenced garden and the privacy of the cottage.
