Tolle, gepflegte Unterkunft

Die Unterkunft ist sehr gepflegt und die Gastgeber Familie super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Rollerverleih, Buchung von Touren oder Transfer kann ganz einfach über die Unterkunft zu fairen Preisen erfolgen. Außerdem haben wir tolle Tipps zu Wasserfällen oder Reisterrassen bekommen, die nicht die bekannten und von Touristen überlaufenen Spots sind. Wir haben alles ausprobiert und für gut befunden. Generell sind die Zimmer zwar klein, aber definitiv ausreichend groß und auch gepflegt. Auch fußläufig sind ein paar wenige aber gute Restaurants zu erreichen. Das Frühstück in der Unterkunft war super lecker und es gab auch jeden Tag etwas anderes.

Eine kleine Oase außerhalb von Ubud

Die Betreiber begrüßten uns herzlich und waren jeder Zeit erreichbar. Sie erkundigten sich täglich nach unserem Wohlbefinden und erzählten auch aus ihrem Leben, sodass man sich direkt heimisch gefühlt hat. Der Pool war eine tolle Möglichkeit um sich während der Mittagshitze abzukühlen. Da die Unterkunft außerhalb von Ubud liegt ist es notwendig, einen Roller zu mieten den man aber auch direkt in der Unterkunft für einen fairen Preis bekommen kann. Wir haben es sehr genossen abseits des Trubels von Ubud untergekommen zu sein.

De kamer was uitstekend, airco super en een klein maar verkoelend zwembad. Sukawati is lekker rustig tov Ubud. Leuke warungs in de buurt en waterval op loopafstand. De host vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Charming, welcoming, clean and special place.

We had three great days with our most lovely hosts. They make you feel welcome from the start till the end. The beds were super large and comfortable and the rooms properly dark so we slept till after breakfast time twice, and still got our breakfast ;-) It was really special living on the property of this family, along with three generations living on the same property, yet you have all the privacy you want. Around the corner was My G Warung, a very good and reasonably priced restaurant with high quality local food. Not to forget the pool, which was a great joy for the kids and a nice place to chill. Over all a superb place for a reasonable price.

Authentic Bali local experience

We loved our stay at Werkudara and getting to know the family. Sandi and Mangku are very caring and kind. Place is so beautifully maintained with lovely garden and pool. We were grateful having drinking water available so we didn't have to use bottled water for environment. We landed super late and Sandi picked us up from the airport. My son got to be friend with their son and played together. We learned wood carving from Sandi who is a skilled craftman. Most of all, I have loved getting to know Mangku and all the lovely conversations and learning about their life and Balinese culture. Loved the scooter ride to shop then cook together for dinner. 5 nights were not enough and we'd love to be back next time.

Sehr nette Gastgeber

Super nette Familie, tolles Haus und direkt in der Nähe mehrere Wasserfälle fußläufig zu erreichen. Frühstück war recht einfach, aber wirkich sehr schmackhaft. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt!

Charmant hôtel

Nous avons apprécié la gentillesse et les échanges avec le personnel qui se trouve être une famille adorable. L'hôtel était pour nous très bien situé loin de l'agitation d'Ubud, tout en étant proche si vous êtes véhiculé. Les petits déjeuner qui changeaient tous les matins et qui étaient très bons. La piscine et l'hôtel sont très agréables. Petit plus pour la location de scooter très bien entrenus proposée. Merci pour ce séjour, nous recommandons vivement et reviendrons avec plaisir.

Heel lieve leuke vriendelijke mensen! Locatie was buiten het centrum van Ubud maar dat wou ik net voor de rust ;). Ik vond het persoonlijk fijn dat ik de eerste dagen HELEMAAL alleen was.

Niks specfiek. 1 keer niet kunnen ontbijten, dit heb ik niet dubbel gekregen maar dat is muggenziften... ;)

Great Host, Peaceful Rooms and Fantastic pool surrounded by a balinese architecture

Sandy and Monku are great host and took care of all our needs. This is a non-fancy place, however the host are caring and very jovial in nature. Expect a 5 star host. Our stay was enjoyable with kids enjoying the exclusive pool whole day. They took care of all our food requirements with a smile on their face and never said no for anything that we asked, of course you have to be reasonable on what you ask. Good peaceful rooms, Good breakfast, Good host and amazing balinese property...what more can you ask. Thank you Monku and Sandy for looking after me and my picky Indian Family :-)

An enjoyable stay with friendly hosts and good facilities in an interesting location.

The room with ensuite and adjacent pool were excellent. Having a wardrobe, cupboard space and desk was good. I enjoyed the breakfast and found the the hosts friendly and welcoming.

The bed was a bit hard and could have been a little more comfortable. I would have liked some tea and coffee making facilities in the common area.

Superb

For people who want to escape the crowded Ubud center, this is the perfect option. The Guesthouse is beautiful, quiet and green, while the rooms themselves are very comfortable. The owners are extremely welcoming lovely people, who helped out with everything I needed.

The best!!!

If you’re looking for a slice of Bali paradise away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud then look no further! I stayed a whole week at Werkudara as I loved it so much. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. They both looked after me so well during my time there. There’s 2 x waterfalls walking distance and central Ubud is only 20 mins scooter ride away. I’m so glad I found this place! Thank you Werkudara!

Relaxing trip to ubud

This place is fabulous! For the price you pay, it is so much more than a guest house. Sandi and Mangku (husband and wife) really take pride and care in their work and it shows with this place. It’s clean, breakfast is delicious and cute (the pancakes are so fluffy!), the pool is so refreshing on a hot day. You can arrange tours with Sandi. His car is new, comfortable and he is a very safe driver. You will become like family to these two.

Incredible staff that were very helpful. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. The pool was small but cool and refreshing.

A bit far from ubud but that was also nice as it was less busy.

The hosts were very helpful and kind to us. Breakfast was delicious and location was in a peaceful spot near some really nice waterfalls. It's easy to get to the city centre with taxi so it's not a problem that it's in the south of the city. Mr Sandi took us on a trip to Kintamani that we loved. Thank you for everything!

It's a very calm and clean place. The garden and architecture is beautiful. And there is a pool in the middle of it. I've been in quite a few places in Bali and none offer this quality for this price

Just be aware that it's far from any tourist attraction so you will either rent scooter or use some taxi app

werkudara guest house was an amazing place to stay right outside the busy streets of ubud. the owners are super welcoming and lovely. we really enjoyed staying here. facilities are very clean and breakfast is very good as well.

Honestly one of the best places I stayed in all of my 3 weeks travelling, the rooms were comfortable and clean, WiFi was great, the little pool right on your doorstep made it feel like your own little villa and the family wore the nicest people I've ever met. Mangku and Sandi literally went above and beyond for anything thing we wanted or needed. They even threw us a little going away party on our last night and cooked us some balinese food which was amazing, they honestly felt like my family away from home and I can't wait till I can get back over to stay again.

Made to feel at home instantly

The accommodation has been built to a good quality. The bed is very comfortable, the room door is very secure, plus there is furniture inside that locks for valuables. The shower curtain reaches the floor (exactly) and the showers are good. Limited hot water, but turn down the pressure and it lasts longer. The breakfast is delicious. The swimming pool is lovely, crystal clear and refreshing. The many cats are entertaining, mostly kittens. But best of all the host family, Mangku & Sandi are truly lovely people. They take time to talk to you, give some great advice on where to visit and eat. Highly recommended having a massage here, the lady that comes in is excellent value. This place is just South of Ubud (about 15 mins), the hosts hire out good scooters/motorcycles very reasonably. It's a nice tranquility after being in busy Ubud for the day.

The cockerels take a bit of getting used to.

Perfect Couple Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay with Mangku and Sandi. They are both so welcoming and helpful with everything: they arranged for us to have a massage in our room, we rented scooters with them, they got us a driver to Padang Bai and we could even leave some of our bags with them for a couple of weeks so we would be able to do a bike tour without much baggage. We'll definitely come back - highly recommended!

Loved everything! The only thing to note is that the accomodation is in a neighborhood about a 20min drive from Ubud, which was perfect for us but might not be for everyone...
