About this house rental

Canyon Walk House and Unit is just a short leisurely stroll from Bright's main centre. The impressive five bedroom house and two bedroom unit backs onto the picturesque Ovens River and Canyon Walk, making it the perfect location for your next Bright holiday.

Downstairs be greeted by a large open plan living space, with modern styling and beautiful parquetry floors. A light filled living room with wood fire for the cool winter nights, TV & DVD, a fully equipped kitchen including pod coffee machine (pods sold at Woolworths) dishwasher, huge fridge and electric cooking and CD player make up this great living space. There is a large dining table overlooking the backyard and Ovens River to seat 10 and 4 bar stools. This area also has a reverse cycle air conditioner and day bed.

One bedroom with Queen bed is located on the ground floor as well as laundry with washing machine and dryer, bathroom and powder room.

Upstairs is a second living area with bean bags, a sofa bed, TV & DVD as well as reverse cycle air conditioning. The main bathroom with a large spa bath and three bedrooms can also be found upstairs, including master suite with ensuite bathrooms.

Please note the main house accommodates 12 guests over 5 bedrooms, another two bedrooms can be found in the unit adjoining the house.

The unit sleeps up to 5 guests over two bedrooms, one room with Queen bed and second room with trilogy bunk. There is an open plan living area with fully a equipped kitchen and full cooking facilities as well as dining for four and lounge area with TV & DVD, reverse cycle air conditioner and wood fire. Wifi included in this property. Telstra TV in House only.
Wifi: Whilst we do anticipate Wifi will be available during your stay, it is not guaranteed. Wifi availability is dependent on the network provider.

Pricing for this property is based on a 8-person base rate. Additional guest sur-charge per person per night applies.

Bunk Beds:

*Please note: Due to OH&S and the safety of our cleaning staff, all top bunks at the property won’t be made up on arrival, the appropriate linen will be left folded up at the end of the bed*

* Please note firewood for heating is supplied from the 1st of May until the 30th of September.
You will be supplied with an allocation of 1 night's firewood, if extra wood is required you will need to purchase it yourself.
The property does have ample heating inside besides the wood heater *.

Cleaning Policy

For any cleaning issues, we ask that you report any concern with 24hrs of arrival to the office.
Our office hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
For weekends, please report any issues to our afterhours mobilewith 24hrs of arrival.
We will require photo evidence to support any claim.

Had a great stay. The property is in a great location with plenty of space for our group of mates. Each year we travel to the area with friends coming from ACT, Sydney and Melbourne with their young family’s. Great spot near the river to feed the ducks, walk the kids to the playground and keep an eye on them whilst enjoying some of the great beers on offer at the bright brewery. Thank you to bright escapes for the prompt communication and great service.

The house is a litter old and needs a bit of repair but very comfortable. The location and walk to town beautiful.

Property was a close to town location with an easy few minutes walk to the street. We were a little concerned by the number of people coming into the rear garden of the house whilst they were 'strolling' along the Canon Walk track..... no boundary fences The house is spacious, lots of light and has loads of potential - an update would freshen the home for sure. Unfortunately, the inside was not up to standard re cleanliness -showers had visible mold, living areas were dusty, furniture, coffee table etc No sharp knifes in the kitchen, the dishwasher didn't wash effectively and the BBQ has definitely seen better days - we didn't use it due to it's very poor condition. The above aside, we were a party of 8 and had a fabulous few days in Bright and really enjoyed our time together in the large house.

Ideal large house for our family get together to celebrate 70th birthday. Fabulous location right on the river. So close to town there was no need to use the car. Grandchildren rode bikes on bike path at bottom of the garden. Easy access to water park. Plenty of space outdoors to play games. Lovely deck and BBQ for outdoor meals. Seperate living spaces meant adults could easily escape for quiet time. Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Off street parking for all our guests.

We booked the property and the unit both. No heater in any bed rooms and in August weather its very cold to sleep downstairs. After about 2 weeks of the holiday the agent called and demanded additional payment for using all the bed. As we rented the whole house we didn't realize we there is a limitation of bed use even though we paid for the whole house. Dodgy business.
