About this house rental
Seven Gables is one of the oldest red brick homes in Panguitch. This historic home of Sheriff Thomas Haycock was built in 1893 and sits on almost one acre. The home is a beautifully restored Victorian home that boasts 4 bedrooms in the main house that will sleep 12 with 3 bathrooms. A large kitchen allows you to cook for your group or just gather for breakfast or snacks. Plenty of room is available in the dining room for meals or to sit in comfortable wingback chairs with your favorite read. The parlor is the perfect location for movie night. The Garden Cottage will sleep another 2 if extra space is needed. The one room jailhouse that will be restored at a later date, sits below the cottage. Panguitch has some of the best outdoor living so enjoy sitting under the shade of the large Elm tree or the expansive grass yard is great for kickball games or volleyball. Evenings are great to gather around the fire pit and tell tall stories, roast marshmallows or view the brilliant starry sky. A two-car detached garage is included for the guests. The home is within walking distance (one block) to main street for dining or grocery store for shopping.
See below for detailed bedroom / bathroom configurations.
Panguitch information:
Located in the valley between the Markagunt and Pausaugunt Plateaus, Panguitch Utah is home to some of the most majestic scenery on earth. A Native American Paiute word meaning “Big Fish,” Panquitch is undoubtedly named for the famously plentiful lake in the nearby mountains, hosting some of the largest rainbow trout in the state and ideal for year-round fishing.
In springtime, Panquitch hosts an Annual Quilt Walk Festival where local quilters display both hand-crafted and machine embroidered works of art, while local performers re-enact the story of Quilt Walk and food lovers highlight their culinary creativity with quintessential pioneer cuisine.
As the gentle warmth of spring fades and the lazy days of summer make their yearly entrance into the town of Panquitch, the city pulses with excitement as pilots launch a sky-full of hot air balloons into the heavens for the annual Panquitch Valley Balloon Rally. As night falls, spectators in the Historic Downtown area encounter the adventurous spirit of the town’s past, mixed in the magic of glowing hot air balloons as they parade up and down Main and Center Streets, like enormous planets waiting to be explored in the starlit sky.
Rodeos, concerts, horse racing, sports tournaments, conventions, and equestrian competitions are hosted at the Canyon Country Complex, the city’s new event center. This state of the art, Triple C Arena is located just off scenic highway 89.
July 24th is one of the town’s biggest celebrations. As the rest of the state pays tribute to the settling of the pioneers in Utah with an annual parade and fireworks, Panquitch commemorates this historic “homecoming” with reunions (family and class), a community breakfast, pit barbecue dinner, races, games, rodeo, and a city dance.
The Haycock house was build in 1893 and is listed as an historical home. Even though this masterpiece has been restored to it's original splendor, it still has all the modern conveniences.
We know your family will enjoy their stay at this home. It not only like stepping back in time, but its convenient location makes it easy to enjoy the downtown area that Panguitch is known for.
Summer isn’t the only time to enjoy activities in Panguitch. A New Year’s Eve party is held every year at the indoor Triple C Arena. The whole town comes out to celebrate and enjoy food, games and live entertainment. Ice fishermen can ring in the new year by participating in the Panguitch Lake “Big Fish” Derby. Beginning the first Saturday in January they vie for cash and other prizes by catching the largest fish.
For those desiring a more personal tribute to the early settlers of Panquitch, a historic cemetery awaits visitors just two miles east of the town on Highway 89. This hauntingly beautiful burial ground hosts tombstones dated as early as 1870.

We loved staying in this historic house. Lots of bedrooms and space to relax. Owners were friendly and talked to us about the history and showed us an old jail underneath one building. Very convenient location in walking distance of grocery store and restaurants.

We really enjoyed Bryce Canyon. The house was old but nearly restored. A block away from town.

Aged and clean house with good location to Bryce and nearby. Some issues to communicate with team when checking-in. 5th bedroom with bathroom suite in the cottage for extra space.

They restored this 1800’s house to have all the charm and nostalgia of its time. They have decorated to also look authentic but also have all of the amenities you need.

A wonderful spacious Pioneer era 2-story home with just the right updates while maintaining the feel of the era. Lots of rooms and plenty of space. We would stay here again.

Charming place in great location
Seven Gables is everything the listing stated it is. We had plenty of room for all 10 of us. The yard was perfect for the kids to play (the swing was a big hit). We walked to the store and to restaurants in town. We had planned to do laundry but the washer was not working. We had a storm door issue. The home owners showed up the same day and had it repaired the next. Their respect for the history of this house was a pleasure to experience. PS. The bed in the guest house was great!

This property is beautiful! The amenities and space were perfect for our 3 families. Cleanliness was great! And beds were comfortable!
Unfortunately, the washer was broken before we got there and there was no communication before hand. Packing extra clothes or giving extra bath towels and kitchen towels would have been awesome.

One of the nicest properties our group of five has rented. Because we are older the stairs were a bit of a challenge but other than that the place was perfect. Wonderfully stocked with dishes and cooking necessities and no scrimping on quality towels and bedding. Perfectly clean though out. I highly recommend.

This 1893 era home was like stepping back in time, from the high ceilings, to the stained glass windows, to the working Edison Victrola in the living room. It is spacious and well furnished. Some bedrooms are a bit odd, like the one with the clawfoot bathtub in the room. But we enjoyed our stay there. It is 20 minutes from the splendor of Bryce Canyon National Park.

We spent a week here and it was very convenient to Bryce Canyon and not a bad drive to Zion National Park. We had some issues with the door code when checking in but it was resolved with a quick phone call. We would definitely go back!

We enjoyed our stay in this old refurbished pioneer home. The rooms were large and there were plenty of spaces for our extended family group to be together or enjoying separate activities. A swing outside was a hit with children and teenagers. Large grassy areas, basketball hoop and huge cement driveway. The kitchen was well stocked including several large pans, a griddle, old fashioned popcorn machine, etc. There were games movies, books and even reading glasses. We enjoyed the opportunity to be together in an historic setting. Thanks!

Plenty of room for five couples and four trucks with trailers. The house is a beautiful historic home that has been restored to make it lovely and comfortable. Two rooms have small toilet/sink/shower or tub combos inside the room and there are two larger hallway bathrooms for the other three bedrooms. We had a great time exploring the nearby utv trails as well as a day trip to Bryce Canyon.

The location of this house is awesome. Literally you can walk a block away to Main Street for restaurant and grocery. There were no real interior photos of the property listed when we booked, other than the cottage and the living room, so we weren’t really sure what to expect. So here’s info for future renters:Master bedroom on the main floor has a fabulous en-suite bathroom, spacious with a gas fireplace. Lovely. Upstairs are 3 very, very large bedrooms, all wonderfully decorated. Bedroom 1 has 2 queens, bedroom 2 has a Queen also. These bedrooms share a hall bathroom with shower only. Bedroom 3 has an en-suite toilet and sink, plus a claw foot tub located right inside the bedroom. We laughed and laughed at that. The cottage is lovely, with en-suite bathroom with shower only. Everything was so wonderfully decorated and we loved staying there. Thanks so much!

Great Place
We were in town with 4 other couples to enjoy some of the surrounding UTV trails. The house is roomy and provided plenty of privacy. Parking is more than adequate for 4 trucks and 4 trailers. Close to everything a small town has to offer. Thoroughly enjoyed the house and area. WE WILL BE BACK!

Family Gathering
We arrived at the property and were pleasantly surprised ! It’s a beautiful home and tastefully decorated. The interior didn’t get past 68 degrees as it was over 80 degrees outside. Plenty of comfy seating- TVs- spacious kitchen fully stocked with pots- pans-utinsils that you need for cooking- plus it’s a block away from a smokehouse restaurant and 2 blocks from the grocery store. Bryce Canyon only 20 minutes away. Oh- and the beds were sooo comfortable! We will be booking the 7 Gable House again!

Beautiful Historic Home
We loved staying here. All the modern amenities you could want, including a spacious kitchen and full laundry room, but packaged in another time period. I simply loved the ambiance and charm of the home and its furnishings. It was quite cold and drafty, as an old house tends to be, and took about a day for it to warm up. The space heaters were a welcome addition to the gas fireplace, and helped to heat up the bedrooms upstairs. And there were extra blankets galore, in every room, so it wasn't hard to stay warm. I enjoyed the old Edison gramophone, and my kids enjoyed the tree swing and the yard and the board games. It was just a short drive to Bryce Canyon and Red Canyon, and walking distance to some truly excellent barbecue. And with so many bedrooms and bathrooms, there was plenty of space for my family to spread out. Thank you for the wonderful accommodations!

Amazing house, great sense for details
We enjoyed our stay. It was a comfortable and spacious house, yet with many old authentic details, like living in a museum.

Beautiful home in a cute little town!
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home celebrating our mom’s 80th birthday. The home was plenty big enough for the nine of us. We also used the garden cottage. This home has the charm of the older home that it is with nice updates to the kitchen and bathrooms. We spend every evening talking and laughing on the front porch. We really had a wonderful time!

Very comfortable home oozing historic charm
This beautifully restored historic home was the perfect place for our group of 4 adults and 2 children. It has plenty of space inside and out (we had originally booked it for 8 people) and it was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well stocked - we cooked a few meals there after spending the days in the park.
The kids loved the tree swing, we enjoyed the porch for coffee in the mornings or a drink later in the evening, and my wife loved relaxing and reading in a wingback chair in the dining room! Shops and restaurants on the main street are just a few minutes walk away.
I highly recommend this house for a visit to Bryce Canyon.

The perfect house for a family holiday
Everyone i n our family group (six adults and two teenage children) loved this house, where we gathered for Thanksgiving. It is beautiful and historic and furnished comfortably and in great taste. On arrival, on a cool fall day after a very chilly night, we were alarmed to find that the house had no heating system. But within a few hours of firing up the gas fireplace in the dining room and the ornate wood stove in the living room, the house was warm and cozy, and it remained that way throughout our stay.

Absolutely Wonderful!!
This property is gorgeous!! The old restored home is stunning with what looks to be original floors, picture rails and transoms. We had a large group staying in the home and everyone was very comfortable. The attention to even the smallest of details was great, such as plenty of outlets, trash cans and mirrors. The beds were super comfy, the towels were soft and it was very clean!! The kitchen had everything we needed to eat-in (grocery store about two blocks away) and we enjoyed spending mornings on the front porch drinking coffee.
The large backlot was perfect for a soccer or kickball game and the younger kids loved the tree swing!
This property is so close to beautiful sightseeing, I strongly recommend hiking the Navajo Loop (Bryce Canyon), having a wonderful meal at the Kiva Koffeehouse (Calf Creek) and a trip to Zion!!
Thank you for letting us stay in your gorgeous home, we will be back!!

Just perfect ⛅️
We have such an amazing experience at this property in Panguitch. It was impeccably clean, plenty of space, unique historical Decour and literally within walking distance to everything including downtown shops, ice cream shops, restaurants, etc. Panguitch is the gateway to Bryce national parks as well! The owners are genuine, and ensure the guests have a perfect experience while they're there. Plenty of space on the property for outdoor games, a yard swing, etc. Would recommend to anyone considering staying in panguitch !

Very Nice Home, Immaculate Interior
We really enjoyed our stay at this home. The house had a very traditional feel and a lot of charm, but at the same time, updates where they count most (Kitchen appliances, flat screen TV with Netflix access, etc). The home was immaculate, probably the cleanest we have ever rented. There is no air conditioning, but we were there for a few warm June days and had no issues. Open windows cool the house at night, and it held fine through the day. Panguitch is not the most beautiful town, but it was safe, quite, had a grocery store within walking distance (as well as a nice strip of stores, shops, town museum, etc). We spent most of our time at Bryce Canyon, but enjoyed little walks around town at night.
