Everything was very nice. Many things within walking distance. Area is beautiful. Be aware if you need 3 beds, as it says it sleeps 5, the last one is a cot.

Our favorite VRBO rental to date. One hesitates to say more for fear of sharing a special secret too widely. We've given it all the stars available, but cleanliness, location, communication, and downright adorability are the stand-outs.

Cute cottage - short walk to water and center of town
This cottage felt very cozy and like home. It had everything we needed in terms of toiletries, linens and kitchen items. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the ceiling fan was wonderful! Very nice outdoor space as well. Owner was easy to deal with and very pleasant. Location was close to the water and walking distance to town. No need to drive if staying local and only a short drive to other towns and attractions. It was a great home base for our week in the Thousand Islands region. Thank you Kathy!

Nice Cottage in the heart of Clayton
My wife and kids enjoyed our stay here.. well appointed / all of the comforts of home - minus the tv which was good. You can walk out of the cottage and within a few feet see the St. Lawrence. Great location and it more than met our needs.

Perfectly Amazing!
This place is so perfect and amazing. So close to everything in Clayton. We walked into town and down to the river in minutes. Kathy is a perfect host and greeted us upon arrival. She is so welcoming and I felt like she is a part of our family. The house contained everything we needed and then some. Very clean and organized. There is plenty of privacy and it's so quiet, which made our stay even more relaxing. This is our 2nd stay here and we plan on returning again! Love this home and location!

Beloved August Cottage!
From our morning coffee on the patio; to our "hurry the sun going to set,"--little run around the corner to get a seat on the dock (with our cup of wine of course!) In between, we walked most everywhere! The church--lunch on the water, shops, yoga, even the library Tom's favorite hangout---along with watching the big ships go by ; as I browsed through the interested variety of shops. Bought a butter dish in a antique shop, and toooo much cheese curd @ River Rat Cheese!
And MY favorite part of the cottage, was the kitchen! Light , bright & cozy! Everything we needed for our 2 weeks---even a washer & dryer----so wonderful! With all this, and now knowing our way around, it would be a shame not to go back! Can't wait! Kathy & her neighbor----the Best!

Cute Homey Cottage
We recently spent a long weekend at Morning Star Cottage in Clayton, NY. We quite enjoyed the experience and hope to return.
The cottage is small, but quite adequate for 2 couples or a family with 2-3 children. While the outside of the cottage can be considered weathered, the inside has been updated and modernized. The kitchen was full sized and well stocked with equipment. There is a living room with TV and stereo, but to be honest in our short time in Clayton we did not keep ourselves indoors. There is a nice porch for sunning or entertaining. There is parking off-street adequate for at least 2 cars.
Kathy met us our first day and showed us around. She was very helpful and attentive to our needs. Kathy is the owner of the Lyric Cafe a small cafe in town and she even treated us to a nice coffee.
Clayton is a very nice village, with many cute shops and cafes, and restaurants. The village has great access for boating and fishing and is well placed to visit the beautiful Thousand Island region.
We very much enjoyed our stay, and hope to go again.
