Hôtel proche de la plage et du restaurant The Rock .
Hôtel un peu petit, on se sent à l’étroit. Trop sollicité sur la plage

We booked the pool villa and it was exactly as pictured. The rooms were very clean and the pool was clean and ready for us when we woke up. The staff are super welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts are huge! Great location for walking the beach.
The beds are super hard!

This was incredible ..
We have been to a lot of places.. but this was more than we even expected..
Unbelievable how amazing our stay was. They seriously thought about EVERY detail. We stayed in December for my birthday. We saw some amazing pictures on booking.com but in real life it is even prettier and the vibe is AMAZING.
When we arrived they had a nice welcoming drink.
Robert was our host, he was super kind. I hope he still remember us, the other girls and boys where super good too!
This was the most amazing stay in Zanzibar. We celebrated my birthday, the staff surprised me. The staff was beyond AMAZING & the owners are excellent.

This was an amazing property in an idyllic location. Staff were super helpful and food was awesome. Our bungalow had a lovely seating area where breakfast could be served, as an alternative to the restaurant Terrace, and the pool was meticulously cleaned and super refreshing. The gate to the beach was directly behind, and at high tide the sea was right up to the top of the beach for easy swimming access. At low tide, it was fascinating to potter on the huge beach, see the beautiful shells and walk out to the shore edge. Only 5 minutes walk along the beach to The Rock restaurant too, which was a worthwhile trip out. Cannot fault this accommodation at all!
We were self-drivers and it wasn't the easiest to find; better signage would have been welcome. But this is a minor gripe!!

The view was nice. And the staff where very polite and nice. The meal was great. Highly recommend.
Was confused about the name as most locals don't know it as bitcoin resort. But overall it was a great experience. Very welcoming.

Beautiful location right on the ocean front with stunning views. The staff were very friendly and the rooms clean. The African ornaments and decorations around the villa were a nice touch. Good privacy and the pool was great. Breakfast served each morning was delicious.
There is a safe box but the key was missing and the property didn't have a spare. Parking is very tight in the premises, had to move my car as others needed to get out. Bathroom lacked shower gel and shampoo. The air conditioning unit leaked. Some groundsman would randomly walk in to service the villa without asking, would be better to designate a time for that instead.
We ran out of drinking water and were charged for it on checkout at $4 a bottle. This was the first time in Zanzibar the drinking water was not complimentary, quite ridiculous when you cannot drink the water from the tap and there was no price list or forewarning of this charge.

The Hard Bed.
It sometimes gets really hot and the aircon struggles however it’s not doom and gloom as there is also a fan.

This place is AWESOME! If you have a family with little ones, the two bedroom villa with a bathtub (not the pool) is PERFECT for you!!!!
The villa has a huge elevated front yard with sunbeds, a sunbed-swing, a hammock swing, an outdoor dining area, an outdoor shower (not private), and a tap to wash sand off your feet. It is enclosed with high stone walls from both sides, and the front is enclosed with plants and landscaping that does not obscure the view. The view is breath-taking and the wind coming from the sea was just enchanting. It has direct access to the beach through steps that lead downwards to a door that can only be accessed from the villa's front yard. At night the yard is well-lit by lights on the wall-fence, as well as lights on the terrace walls.
The kids loved this area. They played in the sand all day, went for walks on the beach to gather shells and came back to decorate their sandcastles. They played in the bathtub. They ate on the dining table and took naps on the swings.
The adults had breakfast outdoors, stepped out on the beach for a swim, and played board-games when it got too late. Sitting in the front yard, one had almost full privacy (for covered Muslim ladies, this is always a plus).
Inside, there are two spacious rooms each with a full bathroom, (one even has a TV! In Zanzibar!). The rooms are air-conditioned with ceiling fans. Each room had a king bed and a single bed, each with a mosquito net. The best part, is that the bedrooms have ceiling to floor glass panels that allow you full view of the ocean, and can be opened so you can survey your little ones playing outside in the front yard. When we arrived, the bathrooms did not have a bidet-hose connected, but that was immediately fixed within the hour. The host was extremely hospitable, and even gave us a discount on some services as an apology. Best customer service experience I have EVER had at a boutique hotel.
There were few negatives if any. One issue, was that the door that accessed the beach was situated right next to a local hut. Locals would sometimes lounge on the sand in front of the door. They were not intrusive or anything, but it made the entry and exit feel less private.
The beach itself is public, and being super close to the Rock (less than 500 m), one was often surrounded by begging kids or boatsmen offering rides. However, the latter wasn't really a nuisance since the boat trip was AWESOME, I'd say it was worth being bothered by a few eager boatsmen.
Lastly, there are barely any good restaurants on this beach. We tried a famous restaurant but it was terrible! We did stumble across a gem: Zatiny by Matlai and it was within walking distance. We also had brought some pastas and foods with us and even bought food from the supermarket behind the resort and cooked on several occasions -so not a major issue in my opinion, especially as all the wash up was done by the hotel staff during the turndown service.

Privacy of the villa and spaciousness. Beautiful beach. very hospitable and responsive staff
Aircon was not cooling enough and microwave oven did not work - may be due to power fluctuations but back up generator should cover power fluctuations. Salty water in the pool

The food was excellent and inexpensive, and the tours arranged were good value. The room was pristine and exactly as described, with convenient plug access and good water pressure. There are several excellent nearby restaurants, though all except Balabin and the Rock (one of the best but also most expensive restaurants in Zanzibar) close at 8p. The pool was clean, saltwater, and a very comfortable temperature. The pool chairs were comfy.
I’d recommend a couple of pool toys/floats available for guest use. The mangrove snorkel tour boat was a bit sketchy, and they didn’t speak English well, which meant I didn’t know where or what time to catch my ride back.

Comfort and cleanliness of common areas were great.
Staff was professional, friendly always there for you.
Location just great, few minutes from starfish bay (snorkeling). Breakfast delicious, varying and on time you wish it to have. Just a great stay overall.
I would recommend to implement some pest control because we had a mouse in a room during night that chewed small stuff like soap etc. So not the best :/

Everything was great the reception Robert and kathrin were really nice and helpful the private pool is really big and nice and it is literally beach front ... Breakfast was nice .. wifi worked ok ...
Because it is in front of the beach directly and due to trees there is a lot of small ants, spiders and mosquitos
Also you can find lizards and bees but outside the room nothing inside... I think this is normal for the tropical island
6.0 / 10.0
great location, nice pool area, good internet
the bed was exceptionally uncomfortable as were the pillows. we didn’t get a good night sleep in 3 days. food was expensive and waited 2 to 3 hours for our meals, disgraceful really when one time all we ordered were a portion of fries. if you stay here don’t order food. rooms were very badly lit and we didn’t have a fridge something you’d expect.

This villa was an absolute dream! The staff was awesome and very tentative to our needs. I went there to celebrate my 35th birthday and they decorated and even gave me a free champagne on the day of my birthday with a sweet note! So thoughtful and was not expecting that. I would definitely recommend staying here, especially at the private villa. The rooms were big and had its own private bathroom. Everything about this place was absolutely beautifu. I'm so happy l was able to bool this place for my birthday. It was magical. Also, the food was really good and it was close ro the famous Rock resturant.
A bit far from the city of zanzibar.
