Excellent bed and comfortable room.
Negative point was that the soap dispenser in the bathroom hadn't been refilled, meaning we had to reach into the shower and use body wash to wash our hands.
£19 for a buffet breakfast (per person) is way over-priced. We went elsewhere.
I wasn't informed of the £10 per night parking charge until after I'd confirmed my booking.

How friendly the staff were
The noise from the town outside. But it can’t be helped in that location. You can’t control the noise outside the hotel

The staff gave out my room number and my description to my ex partner who I was escaping from domestic abuse (who called the hotel to see if I was there) resulting in my home being broken into and damaged while I was away.

Convenient parking.
Food offering was poor especially as it carries the Marco Pierre White name. Portion sizes small, and pricing excessive.

I paid for a breakfast box as I was leaving at 06.00 the next day to go to work , I arrived downstairs at 05.45 but reception was empty found two women in the office and asked for my box that was nit made up she went to the kitchen and returned at 06.00 asking me if I would like tea or coffee as I had a bus to catch at 06.10 I had to decline as had no time to wait any longer
You could have made the breakfast box up as asked for and paid for before I had to catch my bus to work

Handy location, smart hotel. Nice bed. Good breakfast choice, Nice bar.
Soap over sink was empty.

The hotel itself is great, the food was excellent and the room was well equipped. The bed was very comfortable, we slept like a log.
Nothing that the hotel could change. We stayed on a Friday night and the location isn't amazing, the street is a little rough there was a bit of trouble outside as we went for a walk in the evening.

We loved the relaxed atmosphere and layout of the hotel.
All the staff were very helpful and friendly and the room’s comfortable and spacious.
We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.
We wish we could have stayed a bit longer in this lovely hotel.

4.0
Room comfortable, spacious and clean
Check in at was at unattended free standing desks in the centre of the entrance area. Staff seemed to generally hide in the "private" office nearby. Communication was poor. They did not tell us that the room key card was needed to call the lift, or get in the hotel late evening - we had to find out by trial and error.

1.5
Nothing to like, staff in restaurant and bar not very clued up with drinks or food menu, not their fault but more lack of training.
Room was like sleeping in a cow shed with a tin roof. Yes it rained but kept awake all night by the drainpipes discharging water what seemed against tin roof outside the window. Carpet in room under desk / chair rippled and poorly fitted. Plug socket at side of bed lose. I genuinely gave up as room was no where near worth what i was being charged and much better product and value elsewhere.
