The breakfast was excellent, yogurt, juices, cereal, muffins etc to help yourself. Then you are served tea, coffee and toast to your table with a menu for main breakfast.
I was at the top of the building which meant the internet was a bit sketchy.

Great location near to M5. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food and beer excellent and well served. Something for all the family. Prepared us a breakfast tray as we were leaving early.
Awkward car parking but then it’s an old historic building

The hotel has all the character and charm of time gone by. The furnishings and many pictures on show make this hotel one to stay. Old exposed timber beams, stone paving, uneven floors all add to the charm of the old hotel. The room was clean, tidy and renovated well. The staff are exceptional, the meals are very good and a very high standard of service. A great old english pub. Hotel within easy walking distance to the city centre.

Breakfast was good. Our room was clean and bed was comfy. Staff are friendly and helpful
Drinks and evening meal was expensive. Bar closed early. We had a room and bathroom in a flat separate to the hotel. The kitchen door wasn't locked at night which meant that anyone could have got in

Though the room was small, it was quaint and charming.
Absolutely nothing

The location was good. The ensuite was modern and clean. The sheets and towels were clean. I had a key to enter the hotel late at night.
The steep narrow staircase to my room (22) leading to a small step landing felt unnerving. The bed sagged. The sash window was dirty and the net dated. My cooked breakfast was brought in whilst I was eating my cereal, I had asked them to give me time to eat that first but they didn't. The bread used for toast was of the cheapest supermarket quality. The cost of my room at £95 was excessive for what it was and why a child's cuddly toy left on the bed? The cracked ceiling where there was damage caused through a problem surrounding the attic window and a crack in the wall partly disguised by a picture hanging over it.

We had a truly delightful stay at The Old Vicarage. Firstly the building itself, the decor and the garden are all beautiful. Quirky and creative but really comfortable at the same time. (The walls and floors are as uneven as extremely old buildings can be, but the fairly fit 89 year in our party still found them manageable.)
We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant or terrace four times in a row, and the food was consistently good - great desserts! The owners and staff are all lovely, helpful without being intrusive. A special mention for Dan who consistently had us in fits of giggles at breakfast - no mean feat!
We had planned to visit a number of places locally, and they gave us excellent tips for things like routes and parking. Although there is a one-way system in that part of Bridgewater (very old narrow streets) we felt very well located to be out on our way each day.

The property was quirky and fun. It has been decorated to a good level and rooms were good. Staff were attentive and throughly enjoyed my stay there
The food was amazing, especially the freshly cooked pizzas in their oven on the patio, would recommend!
All in all great value and staff exceeded expectations!
Nothing! It was all amazing…

Everything was good

Room was clean and comfortable
The floor was at an overly obvious angle which made you feel like you were slipping out of bed initially. Breakfast was served a lot later than some other local hotels, which means I had to skip breakfast to get to work on time
