Perfect place and location for sightseeing old town Lucca!

Great location in walking distance to everything.

Perfect location in walking distance to all the important sites and to just stroll throughout Lucca during the day and night. The apartment is in an older building with private entrance on via della Rosa so no climbing stairs - you just step in. Large living space with two separate bedrooms, of which we only used one, but was nice to spread out our travel items. Also available is a washing machine and drying rack (behind a closed door in a separate room) both of which we used. Strong Wifi and also wall-mounted TV for news and entertainment. Although we did not cook, there are all the necessary items for that. Also, one minute walk to the lovely Pasticceria Dianda for those morning pastries! Finally, we travel my car, so owner provided many suggestions all of which we considered, but chose the free Mercato OrtoFrutticolo at Via Pubblici Macelli. (In my opinion, it appears that maybe the reason it's free is that it looks like the Mercato no longer functions, so the city has made it free public parking.) At any rate, we parked there for three nights with no issues. It is a 20 minute walk to the apartment, so consider that, but the walk can be easy if you cross over the busy street to the lovely walking path near the Lucca wall.

(1) I won't repeat all the issues other reviews have mentioned, many of them true, other than just for people to know again, the street out front is very busy with foot, car and truck traffic. That being said, the street does quiet down during sleep time, with noise waking again around 06:00. Therefore, we weren't so concerned about this because we could sleep with no worries. (The primary bedroom is in the back part of the apartment. The second bedroom is in a side room where the street noise could be an issue, but again the street quiets down at night.) (2) I think the apartment could use a thorough cleaning with sweeping and mopping especially in the bathroom. (Just a personal opinion). (3) Finally, I would recommend more towel hooks in the bathroom and also a toilet tissue holder. I was surprised that such an important feature is missing - the toilet tissue roll had to be perched on some surface nearby (sink counter, bidet faucet handle, garbage can top) rather than a tissue holder. These are my only reasons for rating this apartment a nine.

A great little apartment in Lucca, inside the old city walls, within walking distance of everything. Clean and tidy. Modern fit out with air conditioning and modern lighting etc

We didn't realise that despite being inside the ZTL and the old town area, there is a lot of traffic still driving through this street. This apartment is on the bus route to add to the traffic noise, they drive at speed over the cobbles within about 2 metres of the bunk beds inside and therefore it's noisy from dawn until evening. Due to the apartment being in an old building and on the ground floor, it's quite musty / mouldy smelling. It was clean, you just noticed the smell.

Very good

the property was lovely and had everything you need. Great location for Lucca walking everywhere and duck back for a rest . A/c was perfect as a bit warm and sticky in Lucca while we were there .

only thing was the second bedroom Bunk beds were not designed for adults. Would only stay if 2 adults and 2 children.

The place was lovely, staff were really helpful, location fine...but the smell was not good. This is not the fault of the staff...it is just very old plumbing I am afraid, like in much of italy...but it would be remiss of me to not say.

It was comfortable, in a great location, very clean and well decorated.

The location was fabulous. Easy to find and a great centre for exploring Lucca.

Because this is a ground floor flat there is limited light and so the property is quite dark and has no view. We could not get the air conditioning to work. The kitchen looks good but it has limited resources to cook a meal, we couldn't find a tea towel and had to buy the basics like washing up liquid and a clothes to wash up and wipe down surfaces.

A great stay inside the wall of Lucca!

The apartment was very comfortable. The location is terrific! Not many ground floor apartments seem to be available. This was perfect for us. It was fully equipped with everything we needed. Great communication with the owner. Strong WiFi too, which was important for me. I highly recommend it

I booked for 5 adults. In the end only 4 adults stayed there, which was good as the fifth bed was for a child.

Extremely clean, great location, good value, friendly owners, and very well appointed.

I suggest that the owners add hooks for towels in the bathroom and it would be helpful to let guests know where the extra blankets are kept. Otherwise, everything was perfect.
