Everyone in our family group of 9 people enjoyed the visit. The breakfast was terrific. The food was tasty, beautifully arranged and very inviting. There was a good variety too, with fruit, baked treats, and some non-sweet options like eggs.
Our hostess, Marta, was kind and accommodating. I wanted more coffee right as breakfast service was ending. She insisted on making me a fresh cup and brought out all the rolls again, arranging them for me to choose from.
A stripe of reflective safety paint would be helpful to mark the places where there's an unexpected step. Right now these blend in and could be a tripping or falling hazard.

the property had a lot of character and the breakfasts were excellent.
on a main street, it could be a bit noisy at night. we would have liked a mirror and a chest of drawers to deposit our smalls, but these were tiny niggles.

Very clean and inside the old city walls but not directly in the center. Pretty confusing getting around. Even Google Maps got it wrong a couple times. Great host!
There is no elevator so you will have to lug your baggage up the equivalent of two flights of stairs to get to the lobby. Also you get two pieces of soap that are literally only the size of a postage stamp! So remember to bring your own bar of soap if you stay there. There's a bathtub with a rinsing wand but no shower curtain around it, so you'll have to work around that if you're used to having a shower in your home or hotel room.

There was very little to complain about. I think it would be overly picky to criticise.

Truly within the walls of the fortress and center to everything that brings you closer to Lucca's historical significance. Plenty of restaurants nearby.. Not as touristy as other known places nearby such as Pisa or Florence. The big heavy doors to get in to the "cortile" and hotel itself requires a bit of a push with a skelton key (provided after signing in) and a set of stairs leading up to the lobby might be a bit much for older travelers, but manageable nonetheless. Rooms were accommodating with enough space to move around. Bathroom was spacious enough for our personal belongings. Within the room there was a wardrobe closet, a chais lounge and a small sofa chair. Wifi was fine while in use with no breaks in signal. Staff super and friendly. They provided the necessary care for coffees and cooking needs, if requested. Thumbs up!
Other than some minor references above for lack of elevator and heavy doors for entry there was absolutely nothing untoward for Busdraghi Residenza. Ok, maybe one point - heat! We couldn't figure out how to lower the temperature in the room. We closed most of the radiators but somehow the room was always around 23-25c. We're used to much lower temps. That's about it.

Great location, good breakfast (for Italy). Lovely structure. The hostess spoke English well and that does help us single language folks.
There were an amount of stairs. This did not hinder or bother us, but it could detract folks that are lacking physical agility.

In a perfect location just at the start of Via Fillungo, by the Porta Santa Maria, and close to the Anfiteatro. It has character and charm and the staff are so helpful; breakfasts are wonderful too! Be prepared for two sets of steepish steps to get up to the lobby. Definitely a place we would return to!
we liked everything!

The location is excellent right in the middle of the old town. The ladies who run the place are so kind and welcoming. It was super clean, and my room was serviced every day. Coffee was perfect.
I had the single room, and it was so tiny I literally couldn’t even roll my yoga mat out. Still, it cost 100 Euros a night, which I felt it wasn’t worth. Out of the ten hotels I stayed in during my three weeks in Italy, this had the least value for money. - Also there was a slightly dated feel to the place. For instance, the air condition unit was difficult to set because it had no temperatures, only a scale. - Breakfast was okay, but not as good as expected. I was disappointed that only on one of the three days I stayed, there was fresh bread. The other two mornings they served either toast or bread from the day before. For me (and I think for most people from Northern Europe) fresh bread is THE most important item on a breakfast table.
