I would not suggest using this property at all.
The house needs window repairs and the steps are crooked.
We had an infestation of roaches in the kitchen, on the floors, up the walls, on the counters.
This regrettably caused my daughter and her family to leave 2 days early and ruined our family vacation.

A description of how narrow the driveway is would have been nice, we like not to have made it thru with the mirrors on the truck. Not the very best of neighborhoods! The blinds could definitely use an up grade. The front door knob was loose some, and the last two days we kept seeing small bugs in the kitchen. The room with the two beds had really bad stains on one of the bedsets. Overall it was a nice relaxing home. Just needs a great deep clean. We also had an incident where a golf cart was randomly parked and we had to push it to move it so we could get out the back lot to leave. Literally random downtown shopper just parked and left it.

This was a great spot for our group. Everyone fit comfortably and there was enough room for the whole gang. The house is in a great location to get just about anywhere you need to in the Charleston area. We were out and about quite often during our stay, but for the times we had to cook, the amenities were all there. Clean, stress free check in/out, a great spot for the weekend!

The houses are so close together but overall it was great

Nicer on the inside than outside. Bugs were an issue and overall, it just lacked nicer updates and items. It was fine for our group of teens, but if you are looking for upgrades and things above the minimum, than you may be disappointed.

Our first impression of the property was very poor. The condition of the struture from the outsued showed a lack of proper maintenance, Although the kitchen was adequate and the appliances were good, The bathrooms showed signs of lack of maintenance. There were no drain covers in the bathrooms or kitchen sinks. The shower rod in the upstais suite was not attahed to the wall and fell on my sisterwhile in the shower. Based on the nightly rate, we were disappointed.
It was quite noisy day and night with emergency vehicles driving down our street with sirens throughout our stay.

The home is quaint and historic. Clean.

DO NOT book this house if you plan on needing the pull-out couch for someone to sleep on.
IT IS NOT THE COUCH LISTED IN THE PHOTOS!
It does not pull out into a bed, it just pulls out for your feet and clearly isn’t intended to be a bed. The couch is also rock hard, sinks in, and is extremely uncomfortable to attempt to sleep on. The guest who was supposed to have this as a “bed” uncomfortably slept on the other, much smaller, also different from what is pictured in the listing, couch.
I attempted to speak with the booking personnel about this, but was written off as if what I was saying and seeing was incorrect. This left a sour taste in my mouth.
The bathroom was also dirty upon arrival.

No frills housing with 4 big bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. All the beds are super comfortable. Perfect for our family with grandparents and grandkids. Comes a large dining room table for the family to gather around for snacks, meals and games. There are two parking spaces behind the building that are tight and intimating. Any extra cars will have to park at a garage. No street parking available.Far walk to King St, so you will need to Uber to downtown. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and the neighborhood is safe.

I realize that this is a very old house, however, they could spray for bugs a little more often. We found several roaches in the kitchen. Good thing they already he’d roach spray under the sink.

The home was perfect for our visit to MUSC. We had a couple of families together and there was plenty of room and space for us all to sleep and visit. The walk to MUSC was very short and easy. The owner of the home was incredibly communicative and responsive for anything we needed during our visit.

I stayed with my mom and sisters and we really enjoyed our stay. The host was very communicative and the location was a great central spot. Would definitely recommend to stay here. The parking is a tighter squeeze, but it was totally fine for a mini van.

Great little spot to get away for vacation. Close to downtown without all the traffic and buzz.

Nice layout and space for our group of five friends. We were only in Charleston for 24 hours, and it was easy to walk to restaurants etc. to enjoy a quick exploration of the city.

Home is spacious for large groups, but needs some updates. Beds and linens were nice and comfortable, but needs adequate bedside tables. Living room area had lots of room but no end tables to set drinks on. Dining space is large, but all chairs are unstable and we were scared they would break when you sit on them. Dishwasher and dryer squeal when you use them. Front bedrooms are very close to a major road and are noisy at night. House is a 2 mile walk to King and Market St, but is safe to walk. House is better on inside than outside. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and company responded quickly to bring towels to accommodate our large group.

Super easy check in and check out. The owner was always quick to respond. The home was clean. It’s a short Uber away from King Street which made exploring downtown really convenient.

Oof this property could use some major TLC. The list is long - holes and scratches on walls, moldy bath curtain, holes in floors, cabinet doors falling off, chipped paint, sloppily painted rooms, a broken window, old and outdated fixtures throughout, palmetto bugs in the kitchen. Three toilets were clogged when we arrived (2 we were able to unclog and another remained clogged and we just didn’t use it). On the plus side, the property is big and we had enough room to stay with our extended family for four nights. The property manager was responsive when we raised a few concerns, and we enjoyed the neighborhood (though the house is on the corner of two busy streets). This can be a fun stay but make sure expectations are adjusted before booking!

Great Place to stay
Property was very clean and nicely located within a short drive (or a little bit of a walk) to Downtown Charleston and a short drive to Folly Beach. Plenty of linens and ample space for the 7 of us. We love to cook while on vacation so a little more in the way of cookware would have been great but we made do. All in all, it was a great place to stay and we would book again.

Great visit to Charleston
Our group enjoyed staying at this property. It was decorated nicely and had pretty much everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable! Everywhere we wanted to go was either in walking distance or a fairly short Uber ride. I would recommend this property!

Great experience!
Super cute and clean house! Property owner was great with communication as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Cheap clean no frills sketchy locale
Our group of 6 gathered here for 3 nights. We all took Ubers separately from the airport and met at the house. Disappointed right away when the Uber driver said this was “the ghetto”. I was greeted by four overflowing stinky fly ridden trash cans out front. Abandoned house next door with rusty bus in backyard. Newer renovated apartments to the other side. We walked to downtown market area which was not a quick walk … 38 minutes. Very busy noisy road out front and rush hour traffic with trucks backfiring woke us up. The washer dryer made so much noise squeaking that watching tv was almost impossible to hear while doing laundry. The pillows on the couch shed feathers which stuck to us all.
Upsides: clean kitchen and beds were ok. I slept in the downstairs bunk bed room on the bottom. The mattress was slanted and I could only comfortably sleep on one side. The house has charm if you like slanted floors and walls. Although the driver said this was the ghetto, I never felt unsafe walking by myself. The medical school and hospital campus is nearby, so there are a few nice restaurants to walk to in the area. We especially liked the Spanish tapas place Estadio.
Bottom line: pay more for a nicer place at Folly Beach and get an Uber to downtown for the day.

Bachelorette Trip
It was beautiful house. We were all obsessed with the Charleston charm on this house. I am so glad I found the house for me and my friends. We had 12 people, and had tons of space for everyone to enjoy. Was not far from restaurants or fun activities. Would definitely come back and would want to stay in this house. Owner was amazing, and everything was clean and lovely!!!!

Bachelorette party fun!!!
We had such a great time staying at this place! Definitely a tight squeeze for 12 adults but still it was really nice.

Great stay!
Convenient to several bars and restaurants. Ubers were never more than 5 minutes away. There were some missing kitchen supplies we would have utilized, and the water pressure wasn't ideal, but we made it work. Overall, a wonderful weekend.

A perfect weekend with friends!
Our group had a great stay at this property! Close to everywhere we wanted to go, plenty of room for our large group, and everyone commented that the beds were so comfy. Communication was also so easy and quick. We only had one need while we stayed and they responded within moments of our email - couldn't ask for anything better!

Great place to stay and enjoy Charleston
Enjoyed staying here with two families over winter break. 10 min walk into town, and great and communicative hosts. Lovely decor, home could use some updating.

Great for a girls long weekend
I cannot say enough about the perfection of our stay! The house is a little older, but the price is so worth it. So much space for the 10 of us that stayed over 5 days to celebrate my 40th birthday. The beds were super comfortable, plenty of space for 10 independent women to hang and celebrate but also have the space to allow rest and relaxation. Kitchen is fine for snacking and we didn’t need fancy cookware with all the great restaurants in Charleston. All the big spots around town are at least a 15 minute walk, but the walk is safe and Uber/Lyfts were easy to obtain. There are few spots close by for coffee and a bite too.

Needs Much Improvement
The location and the price attracted us to this property. However, it has many drawbacks, e.g., difficult parking space in the back through a narrow entrance alley, hospital sirens, walls not plumb, mold in bathrooms, very uneven wood floors just to mention a few. Neighboring properties appear to have been renovated in this area being revitalized. This property could benefit from a major renovation.

Love the location
The location of this house was so great!! Close to everything. David was a great host, very quick to respond.

Girls trip to Charleston
This home was just perfect for our group of 6 women with plenty of beds, bathrooms, and seating. We had a little problem with the linens which the owner responded to and resolved quickly. The parking was a bit tricky for our large car but we ultimately were able to maneuver in and out with hitting anything.

Great rental and perfect for a large group
This house was perfect for a group of 10 for a bachelorette party! Easy Uber to downtown/King street or an easy and beautiful 10-20 minute walk. Nothing particularly special about the house but has everything and exactly what you need for your stay. The house was extremely clean and the owners/staff on contact were so helpful and responsive. Made for such an easy stay and good experience.

Fantastic home base for Charleston stay
So much to like here! The location was perfect - incredibly convenient for being able to get to anywhere in the Charleston area quickly. Be aware that the parking spaces/driveway are a little tight, but it was so nice to have reserved parking for 2 cars. Our group of friends loved the accommodations - rooms were well laid out, lots of space with many options for sleeping arrangements, everything was clean. It's an older home, and you can tell, but it is also very well-maintained. Communication with the hosts was easy and efficient, and they even checked with us on our arrival to make sure all was ok. Overall, a great place to stay.

Loved it!
We had a great stay celebrating my sisters bachelorette party! There was plenty of space in the house for our group of 10, the place was clean and very cute. Easily walkable to downtown but we also easily took Uber’s/Lyft’s everywhere we needed to go as well. The property manager was a pleasure to work with and extremely responsive. Overall we loved our stay here and would definitely recommend!

Big lovely comfortable home in Charleston
We had 2 families staying in this house, and it was ideal for a big group! The interior was lovely and there were lots of thoughtful details throughout (nice linens, colorful art, decorative pillows, modern furniture, etc.). It's about 2-3 miles to get to King Street and Battery, but we did it with 5 kids (ages 6-14) in tow. Charleston is such a lovely town, we didn't mind the walk. The property owner/manager was very helpful and gave us many recommendations.

Amazing!
Wonderful first time VRBO experience. The house was wonderful and allowed us to have our own space. There are plenty of beds and bathrooms. You can walk just about anywhere downtown from the location. Wonderful host and parking on site which seemed rare. We highly recommend this rental!
