About this house rental
One of these traditional and unique farmhouses on Gozo, which wins over its original round arches and wooden beams. Situated in an elevated location, offering dreamlike views to the countryside. In summer, there is usually a pleasant, light breeze blowing from the sea. Air Conditioning in the bedrooms.
The spacious outdoor area with nice garden and its inviting pool (approx 7,5x4,5m) with separate Jacuzzi is laid out for extensively living in summer there: sunbeds and umbrella, as well as table and chairs and BBQ. Enjoy these views with a glass of delicious Maltese Redwine!
The kitchenarea with it's large dining table is well equipped. The living area offers cosy basket chairs and TV. WLAN free of charge.
All bedrooms with Air Conditioning, working by coin-box system.
On the upper floor there are all three bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other two, each with single beds. Two bathrooms with shower/WC and a third, separate toilet.
Washing machine available. Garage free of charge.
Special service: free food package on arrival for stays of min. 1 week.
Main attributes of Munxar is its charm and views of the valley. Its setting deep into rural Gozo and proximity to the island’s main town Victoria, which is in 3km distance, so it makes an ideal location. The village is one of the smallest on the island. Situated in the south, between Xlendi valley and the village of Sannat. The silent village square is halted by the tolls of the church bells and the chatting of housewives completing their daily groceries. At sunrise farmers gather in fields to earn their living. Xlendi bay is only 2km away from the property. The bay is encompassed within a sprawling countryside. Along the promenade one can indulge in exquisite local cuisine.
The feast of Munxar is celebrated on the last Sunday of May and is dedicated to the beloved patron Saint Paul, at this time of year you will see the village decorated and can watch spectacular firework displays, where village succumbs to a wonderful vibrancy.
Distances: nearest restaurants in Xlendi about 2 km from the house, where there are also very nice rocky beaches for swimming, snorkelling and diving. For children you also find there a small sandy beach. Bus stop approx. 200m
Final cleaning € 50 payable on site. Air Conditioning by coin-box system.

Beautiful authentic building in nice landscape. Sights are nearby and reachable by bus easily. Bathrooms could be renovated in the next years.

We've not had a holiday abroad for several years and never used Vrbo before. It has been a really great find. The management of our booking was great, the host on arrival was friendly, extremely helpful and was available for silly questions via WhatsApp about the refuse collection. There was a basic welcome pack of food for us on arrival. Antonia gave us a tour of each room and showed us where everything was. The farmhouse is on the edge of the village with panoramic views. There is a parking spot right outside but it's always in full sun so a car shade is advisable. The house is 10 minutes from most places, including Xlendi and Rabbat. There is a supermarket in the town a short walk away, selling European brands and also dairy and gluten free foods which was unexpected but very helpful.
The house had a great Encanto feel which went down well with the children. It is excellent for hide and seek too! The AC in the bedrooms was welcomed and was economical to run. The pool did need a bit of a clean but we used it and it was fine and certainly helpful with the heat. A great place for nature lovers with birds, bats, lizards and grasshoppers.
Overall we'd definitely recommend this to other families. Thank you for our stay.

Lovely property in an ideal location, great views and close to everywhere required. Pre check in was easy and any questions we had were answered.
We felt property could do with a big upgrade in terms of fine detail, fixtures and fittings were of poor quality and standard! Beds too short, shower was dirty and old, pool tiling and filters require attention, whirl pool was sending in dirty water! Depth of pool is wrong. 2m-3m is more accurate.
En suite in our opinion would be in master bedroom rather than the twin room....
Its the fine detail that would make one return visit, possibly not on this occassion

A very nice and rustic farmhouse with a beautiful view over a small valley.
Quiet location, lots of space and no direct neighbors. Own pool which was very well maintained/clean.
Unfortunately there were no pads/cushions for the pool loungers.
The air condition in the bedrooms can be unlocked with a coin slot meter in the garage. Very fair price (can be checked on the meter in advance).
Parking in very short walking distance possible.
We would recommend this farmhouse.
There was only one major downside:
The kitchen utensils (pots, pans and cutlery) were rather basic and in bad condition.
We strongly encourage you to offer better kitchen appliances for a deposit.

My family could not have found a more perfect place to stay for our first trip to Gozo. The house is clean, neat, and well equipped. From the roof, there are beautiful views of the surrounding country, including the Basilica and the Citadel. Before we arrived, the property manager helped us arrange for a transfer from the airport to the house and then to pick up a rental car. (I highly recommend you take him up on this. He referred us to Victoria Garage, and we found the owner, Joe, to be helpful and accommodating). We were greeted by the house keeper who lives next door and she made herself available for any problems that might arise. The house owner emailed and called to check in and make sure everything was working well. He also sent a list of places to visit and gave recommendations for restaurants. When we had difficulty with an AC unit, the housekeeper came over within an hour and had it sorted out. I highly recommend you choose this house for your holiday.
