About this house rental

Rivers Edge is located in the heart of the downtown historic district nestled between the Apalachicola River and the Oyster City Brewing Company. Architect Chuck Wright and Builder Salty Dog have created a new building with old time Apalachicola charm.It has a full kitchen and dining area, living room, separate bedroom, and bathroom artfully furnished with antiques throughout. King size bed in bedroom with queen sized comfortable couch in living area. The outside deck faces east where you can enjoy the morning sunrise with coffee. Amenities include free WiFi , Smart TV, full size washer and dryer . Basics such as paper products and laundry soap are included. Daily maid service is not included. Access is by stairwell from Commerce street or via your own private spiral staircase from the back. 2 Night minimum stay, 3 night minimum stay for local events and holidays. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED, this is a non-smoking residence. Check in time is 4:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM.

This was our family’s first time staying in Apalachicola AND our first time staying in a rental vs a hotel! We really enjoyed our stay! We were looking for a place to stay where we could have some beach time and fishing opportunities for my husband and son, but in a smaller town setting. Apalachicola was a perfect fit! The guys were able to do some fishing on the nearby piers in Apalachicola and East Point while I stayed behind and checked out downtown Apalachicola by foot. We spent one day over on St George Island just a short drive away. The beach was unbelievably beautiful! This rental is tucked right in the middle of downtown—restaurants, stores, coffee shops, etc. are just a short walk away. Inside, this rental was clean, tidy, spacious, and nicely decorated. The kitchen was lovely. I really appreciated the washer and dryer as well. Check-in/check-out was smooth and simple. We highly recommend!!

Our trip was absolutely wonderful! River Edge East is a lovely and extremely comfortable apartment that has everything we could have wanted. Donna is a very gracious host and was very easy to communicate with.

Traveling through Florida on our way to St. Augustine, we always like to stop off in beautiful Apalach for a couple of days. This was a beautiful and peaceful spot!!! Shady upstairs porch with views of the river, it’s a perfect hidden perch to sit and sip. The furnishings are akin to something out of Southern Living and it’s spotlessly clean and modern. I didn’t want to leave.

My husband and I stayed at River’s Edge for our anniversary and we loved everything about this loft. We loved the couch so much it’s the best napper! I almost don’t want to leave a review because I don’t want it to stay booked up! Hope to return soon!

I never ever say I’d stay at the same rental twice - but this would be the first one I would without a doubt come back! It is ADORABLE! So clean. Easy convenient street parking. So walkable. Quiet neighborhood. Spacious. Bathroom and kitchen felt nice and new. We loved it! Also, if you’re like me and love a loud white noise fan in the bedroom to sleep, you’ll love it! Zero complaints. Just be warned if you’re not a fan of stairs, might need an extra set of hands to help with luggage. It was great.

Loved our stay in this spacious, comfortable apartment. Donna was great, had everything ready for us and made our late night check-in a breeze. We walked everywhere in charming downtown Apalachicola, including just five blocks to a fast charging station for our EV. We’ll make time to come back.

The rental was even better than I expected. The property owner was super responsive and accommodating. The neighborhood was great and the rental was really clean. We chose this location because it was close to the wedding venue. I would definitely stay again.

We were delighted to have River’s Edge as our home for two months. We loved the location - we seldom used a car and walked everywhere. The apartment is charming, unusual and comfortable, with some antique furnishings and good art. The kitchen is well-equipped. Donna was an incredibly gracious host. This was an excellent VRBO experience.

This rental is a great place to stay if you want to explore Apalachicola! You can easily walk to the shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. Nice river view from the back balcony. The balcony is always shaded and very relaxing. There is a newly opened venue behind the rental. We got to see kids do a choreographed dance to Thriller which we enjoyed. If you like live music, you can get a free show a couple of nights a week right from your balcony. We normally stay on St. George Island but the proximity to shops and dining was a big plus since those options are extremely limited on the island. I highly recommend going out into the National Forest if you are a nature lover. We had a wonderful time exploring the backroads and rivers. The observation deck on the bay offers great views. Easy drive to Cape San Blas, Port St. Joe, or Carrabelle if you like exploring.

Our apartment at River's Edge was exactly as stated on the VRBO site. Owner was very easy to contact and her rental was very clean and made us feel very comfortable. The location was perfect to walk to restaurants and shops. Thank you, Donna for sharing your home.

Donna was the ultimate host. Smooth reservation and check-in process. We arrived in town very early in the day and well before check-in time. Donna notified us as soon as the loft was available to allow early check-in. This loft is located in the middle of this beautiful historic town. No need to even move your car. It is within walking distance to night life, shops and restaurants. It was exceptionally clean and well stocked. Definitely, marked this one of our favorites for future stays.

We loved our time here! The apartment was beautiful with high ceilings and beautifully decorated! Lovely balcony overlooking a lush treed garden filled with birds! Close to tons of cute boutiques and restaurants. Donna was very helpful and responsive. Definitely would stay here again!

My sister and I stayed here on our annual trip. It is a lovely apartment that has all of the amenities that you could want. The location in Old Town Apalachicola is perfect. You can walk to all of the shops, restaurants and down by the bay. I would definitely recommend this location and would stay here again.

This is a great place for two to stay, just the right size, comfortable, and walking distance to everything in downtown. Only two things brought it down to four stars for me—the stairs up to the room are quite a hike, which wasn’t an issue for us (other than reminding us how out of shape we are), but if you have mobility issues you may want to discuss that with the owner. The other thing was the shower wasn’t the best, it wasn’t as clean as I would’ve preferred (the tub, and the shower head had a lot of build up which may have been affecting the water pressure) and the drain was a bit clogged. Otherwise, it is a wonderful place with everything you need. It was so wonderful to be able to walk to all the restaurants and shops. Our favorites were the bookstore right next door, Owl Cafe for the crab cakes, and Cafe Con Lèche, which we went to twice on our four day stay. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get away in Apalachicola!

This house was spotless and right in the middle of town. We walked to all the shops and ate dinner at two different places in town. We spent the days at St George and Cape San Blas beaches. Beautiful beaches just a short drive away from this place. Highly recommend
