Great location. Well equipped kitchen.

Better lighting in living room. Quite dark even with lamps on.

Close to the harbour in Anstruther, spacious and well-equipped, and the outside seating area is a bonus (if it isn’t raining). The house has lots of children’s books and games, which we didn’t use but would be great for a family with younger children. The kitchen was well-equipped and the TV and Wi-Fi worked very well. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, and the showers worked well. The Dreel Tavern across the road is a great location for dinner.
There was some road noise from the street in the two front bedrooms, but it wasn’t too bad. Ear plugs were thoughtfully provided for light sleepers.

Ardlui was very central. Easy access to some really good restaurants. The Waterfront restaurant was excellent. food and service could not be faulted. Large portions and good prices.
The Bank's food was a little overcooked.

The owner was welcoming and helpful. The property was well maintained, very comfortable and clean. The bathroom and shower room were both modern. Situated within easy walking distance of restaurant, beach etc.,

It was a very roomy house with a patio area that was beautiful.

Spacious, downstairs shower room, ps3 for the kids, location
Property is on the main road so can get noisy - double glazing would be useful. Also upstairs bathroom doesn't have a blind so didn't use it for bath or shower as the neighbours could see in! Thankfully used downstairs shower which was great.

Great location, had everything you need including washing machine/tumble drier.
although good location, house is on a very busy and noisy main road. Also stairs were a bit dangerous - I slipped and fell down them. Not suitable for people with mobility problems

House was spotlessly clean and in an excellent location. . Really cosy and comfortable with everything you would need for a fabulous holiday.
Nothing

Ardlui was the perfect home from home. As a family we all had a very comfortable stay. The hosts thought of everything, every need was accommodated for. Yes its on a main road, however, this caused no issues, instead this added to its charm. Parking wasn't far away, just across the road from the property.
Our weather wasn't great, however, this didn't ruin our stay in any way. We visited the Secret Bunker which is a short drive away.
It's located close the the beach and local shops/bars, all a short walk away. Some great chips shops too!

Well appointed with all the facilities and everything you would need need a comfortable stay.
Rooms and cooking equipment we're spotlessly clean.
Great location with Anstruther Harbour a few minutes walk, Pittenweem & St Monans a short walk along the Fife Coastal path.
Front bedrooms were single glazed windows so more noise than we are used to in this day and age but didn't keep any of us awake and not a problem during the night and the road isn't overly busy.

The house was brilliant. The hosts had thought of everything for a comfortable, luxurious family stay from the products in the bathroom to the books, games and Netflix!

Was very central for what we had planned for our break. Property had all facilities necessary for a comfortable stay.
There was nothing lacking.

Lovely holiday home a few minutes walk from the harbour and little beach, very comfortable with everything we needed for a great family holiday
Nothing really - it is on the man road so had to be careful crossing the road going back to where the cars were parked but we were not affected by the road noise as others who stayed had commented

great location.
could find ironing board but not an iron.
8.0
The house, the facilities, the lay out, the decor.
Books and games for children.
Easy access to tv channels.
The proximity to the main road. Triple glazing required !

The house was just fantastic; spotless, comfy, warm and very nicely furnished with all the facilities we needed...and more!

Nothing all good 😉
Location garden cleanliness and homely feel.

The location was good except for the proximity to the main road. I have been to Anstruther before so I understood exactly where I would be staying. But the location is very handy for restaurants, coffee shops, shops in general.
The house was clean, the dining room and the kitchen and the bathrooms were great. Kitchen was well equipped, bathroom had lots of towels and toiletries. Trish who welcomed us was charming.
The sitting-room looked very dreary, sad curtains on the windows, poor lighting for the evening, and the 2 sofas were the most mismatched, uncomfortable sofas I've ever sat on. The beds also, were uncomfortable and the small garden was in need of some TLC.

Location perfect for us. Property a good size and rooms comfy
Would have been nice to have a few food staples as a
Welcome pack. I appreciate this can sometimes be wasteful but if the host messaged and offered a basic selection, butter, bread milk etc it would have been appreciated. Also a couple of throws for the lounge.

Well appointed & comfortable
Located on a very busy road & so we found it noisy. Car parking difficult & not secure as my car was vandalised on 5th night. Left before the end of the week.

Close to harbour and town centre; parking nearby; Well equipped kitchen and property overall; good sized bathrooms and comfortable main bedroom. Plenty of books and games for rainy days. Very friendly hosts.
Main lounge and dining room on ground floor seemed quite dark. I would have liked more occasional lighting and blinds on windows so passers by could not see in. I thought the back garden was in need of some tlc.

We loved the garden. We appreciated the main living room and snug. Bruce and Trish were excellent hosts. We have stayed in another of their properties and also had a good experience.
Unfortunately the mattress in the double back bedroom was not firm causing rolling to the middle. But this did not spoil our holiday.

Lovely house situated in the centre of town with easy access to shops and restaurants. The house was very well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay
10.0
Lovely property, very clean, everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay.
A short walk to the town centre although some of the pavements were quite narrow.
Parking was good, just about 1-2 minutes walk from the property.

Great rooms lovely bathrooms and everything you need for a great holiday.Booked to go again! Lovely little sun trap of a garden.
Nothing everything was perfect for our break.
8.0
Very clean, well-furnished and stocked, roomy.
A very difficult place to get a good sleep. The front bedrooms are on a very busy road with lorries and buses passing within feet of the window and are very noisy. The back bedroom desperately needs curtains, the blinds let in so much light it was like sleeping outside.
10.0
Excellent spacious accommodation, furnished to a high standard in the centre of Anstruther. Hosts were welcoming and provided excellent communication.
7.0
We loved the decor - a great mix of old and modern. A great little house. Everything was there and very clean. The bathrooms and kitchens, especially, were lovely and spotless. A lovely warm welcome from Bruce. And Netflix, PS4 and a huge selection of boardgames to keep all ages occupied into the wee hours.
Struggled to sleep in the 'Honey Bee' room due to road traffic noise; I cut my forehead when I walked into the sloped ceiling in the room photographed above (turn the bed around the other way maybe?); the extractor fan in the upstairs bathroom is soooo noisy, especially in the middle of the night when someone switches on the light.
8.0
Excellent location - short stroll into centre of town. Comfortable and charming cottage. Enclosed courtyard.
10.0
Perfect base for a break along the Fife coast. Everything close by but with the peace and quiet of self-catering. House was ideal, clean and catered for everything we were looking for.
Special word for Bruce and Trisha (letters) when we had an issue with the front door (our fault not the door’s) they were there within minutes and all sorted shortly after.
Great stay, great hosts.
