About this house rental
Amazing mountain house close to Vail and Beaver Creek. Great open floor plan with a large kitchen and main room. Five bedrooms and a bunk bedroom sleeps up to 16 guests.
This house has just been fully remodeled so everything is brand new. It is remodeled in a very modern, clean style that is trendy and not rustic.
The kitchen is large and has two ovens for cooking a meal for everyone. The large eat in counter has seating for 5.
The front patio is oversized and has a large seating area with big couches. There is also a concrete dinning table that seats 8-10. The views are amazing and the sunsets are worthy of pictures.
The house is about 2500 square feet and the big open main room makes a great gathering place.
The Eagle Vail golf clubhouse is around the corner. The Eagle Vail trail is at the top of the hill. The community pool is at the bottom of the hill. Vail is 9 minute drive and Beaver Creek is 8 minutes.
The front porch dinning table also serves as a ping pong table. There is a great hot tub up high on the hill. It is private surrounded by fir trees.
Here are the sleeping arrangements detailed: On the main floor is the master bedroom that has a king bed and a queen pull out couch. The other main floor bedroom/den has a queen Murphy bed. This room only has a small cabinet, no closet. Upstairs are three bedrooms. Two have queen beds and one has a custom bunk bed with four single beds. Then there is the small bunk room on the main floor with three single beds.
A total of 5 bedrooms and a small room with a door with 3 single beds.
For parking, there is space for four cars in the driveway. In the winter the driveway is steep and icy so you will need four-wheel-drive to get up it

The house was pretty comfortable and large enough for our 4 adults and 6 kids, but I don't feel like the description of the home was entirely accurate. While the kitchen was updated, I wouldn't describe the house as a "full modern update". I think the max for sleeping in the house should be set at 12. We did see two mattresses stacked in the garage... are those for people to use on the floor somewhere?
The big kids were disappointed that we couldn't find the ping-pong table. The coffee pot wasn't fully working- the kurig side sprayed water everywhere and was missing a part. The slider door to the outside of the home was broken- the lock took over ten times of trying to secure it each time and the door wouldn't slide easily so an adult had to use both hands and all their strength to open and close it for kids coming and going to the hot tub. It would have been nice to have more toys available in the kid's room. We didn't spend much time at the house, but I think if we had been there longer, we would have apprecaited a more kid friendly house.

We arrived at 3:55pm and the cleaning lady still had a lot to do. Our party had old people and small kids of 3-4 years old. Because the weather was too cold for us to wait outside, we went inside at 4:01pm to comply with checkin instructions. The lady was by herself trying to finish cleaning the entire first floor. Our family had to help her vacuuming the bedrooms and clean the kitchen, otherwise we would have to wait for at least 30 more minutes. The property owner was extremely unresponsive. He gave us wrong wifi password and did not respond at all when I texted him about water leaking from second floor to the master bedroom for a good few hours. He finally replied to me after I chatted with customer support. And that was on the very first night when we checked in. To make it worse, he never apologized at all for the bad experiences we had. The price was cheaper than other places, but I would rather pay more for much better customer services.

The property itself is awesome if the “accuracy” rating had 6/5 stars I would’ve because there were some extra things there that weren’t mentioned.
I was traveling with 15 people and accommodations were perfect and the location and place were well kept and all around great.

This property has some issues. Dishwasher never worked, thermostat seemed remotely controlled because main floor would never warm up above 65 degrees. Some outlet were fake. We left a day early to avoid weather so he offered us a house in Denver which I sent him $250 cleaning fee for, we changed our minds and got hotel rooms once we got there because we could not find parking for 2 pickups and a suburban within a couple blocks radius and had a lot of bags to carry. I let him know we were not going in but he did not return the cleaning fee because he said he already paid the cleaners even though we did not stay. Not impressed

When we arrived at this property AFTER the check in time we came into a very unclean house. The master bed was unmade and had clearly been slept in, there were used, wet, dirty towels all over the floor, and hair in shower and sink. We called the owner and after a bit of no response he said he would send someone over to clean it and offered a “few hundred dollars refund” (which we still have not received) we agreed and the cleaning person arrived about an hour later. She came dressed in a dress and heals and told us “she will do what she can but this isn’t her fault and she had other things to do” ok…we left and went to dinner. We came back an hour and half later and she was gone. The bed was remade in the same dirty sheets that had been on there and slept in prior to our arrival, and the wet towels that had been on the floor in the bathroom were still damp and simply folded and put up for us to use. Disgusting. I spent the evening washing towels and bedding so that we could sleep there. At this point it was late and we didn’t want anyone else coming in for a second time and asking us to leave again so they could “clean”. We agreed as a family to just clean it ourselves so that we could enjoy our vacation without worrying about someone else coming in with all of our stuff there. The dishwasher also did not work properly and did not get the dishes clean and leaked all over the floor. There is also a weird and VERY unsafe bunk room off the laundry room that should not be advertised as a room or used at all. My husband is a fire chief and there is no way that any adult or child should sleep in that room as there is not a way to escape if a fire should occur in the adjoining washer/dryer/water heater room. The house itself is decorated nicely and the other rooms are good. If it had a different owner I’d stay again. But the dirtiness and lack of COVID safe cleaning is enough for me to say RUN somewhere else…

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. The location is convenient if you don't want to be right in the heart of Vail, yet close enough that it's only a short drive away. Beaver Creek and the shops/restaurants in Avon are also within a few short minutes of driving. As for the house itself, while it is evident that the kitchen and bathrooms have all been recently remodeled, there are a few things that need greater attention. The couch in the main living/ family room sits extremely low to the ground and is very uncomfortable to sit on. It also seems a bit worn and not matching the rest of the decor in the home. The carpeting in 2 of the upstairs bedrooms is in desperate need of replacement and/ or deep cleaning as both rooms have heavy stains. Additionally, only a few of the windows and sliding glass doors had screens on them, and with it being the middle of summer it would have been nice to have been able to open multiple windows to allow in the cool air during the evenings since there is no A/C in the home. Opening any windows without screens would risk allowing in flies and bees, which we saw plenty of while we were out enjoying the patio. The patio is a great place for relaxing, but it didn't feel overly inviting. The grill had various parts and seemingly random pieces laying underneath it, and there was a hose that was left unraveled that took up a significant portion of the deck. We avoided that area as not to trip over it. Overall, the location can't be beat if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the heart of Vail, yet still be very close to the action. With a few additional upgrades and attention, it would be perfect.

Additionally, during the first night of our stay we lost all indoor hot water and weren’t able to get a response from the host to fix it. The water remained frigid for the remainder of our trip. I have to rate this 3 stars - the space itself is great, but lack of hot water during the winter (and hot tub) greatly impacted the quality of our stay.

Location isn’t near the free mountain so you’ll need to drive to/from BUT the house is great. Has everything you could need for keeping the whole family content- hot tub, easy dog walking space, kitchen well equipped and video games (and real games).

Rented the house during my daughter's wedding week. Our family and several members of the wedding party stayed at the house. It was a great wedding HQ for family and wedding party/guest get togethers. The only downside was that the dishwasher was leaking so we were doing dishes by hand for 10+ people throughout the stay

Awesome Stay!
The house was so much bigger and more awesome than we even thought it would be from the listing photos - it looks just the same, it just feels bigger in person. It was PERFECT for our trip. We had 10 adults (5 couples) at the house for a long weekend and it was great. There was plenty of space for us all, we were able to cook and eat and hang out without being on top of each other. Honestly, it was hard to find everyone sometimes because there was so much room for us all to spread out. The neighborhood and views were perfect. The front patio was a feature we all loved. The weather was perfect and we loved having the large windows to open to enjoy it. The host was SO helpful and quick to respond to any questions. The location of the house was perfect and it was quick to get anywhere we needed to go. Before our trip was even done, our group talked about renting the house again in the future and making it an annual trip!! It was that great!! Thank you so much!

This home has a terrific feel with a large kitchen, family room and living room all in one central area. It is also very conveniently located right between Vail and Beaver Creek. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

Great house with a few watchouts
There was lots of space and all the amenities, appliances, and utensils required of a house its size. This place worked well for our group. There are pretty views across the valley, good climate control, and the place was quite and comfortable.
The deck and roof had feet of snow on them, including some dangerous ice dams. That may just be par for the course in winter in Vail though. The upstairs bathroom doesn't seem quite complete from remodel when we visited, so the frosted glass door has no latch. We decided to put all the ladies upstairs to minimize the awkwardness. We were a group of fire professionals, so the lack of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors was concerning, especially with one closet type 'room' off the boiler room. There are still 5 excellent bedrooms without using that room.
