About this house rental
Ideally located in a very quiet one-way street, 500m from a large supervised beach and close to the town center (400m from a supermarket and 450m from a very good bakery)
Merville-Franceville-Plage is a town on a human scale, where everything is accessible on foot.
Family house entirely renovated while keeping its identity and its charm, (we chose to keep the original windows, which can be an inconvenience in winter period).
4 bedrooms: 3 upstairs (160,140,140) one downstairs (2x90), 2 bathrooms with WC one upstairs the other on the ground floor, a large bright living room with triple exposure, opening onto a terrace and an American kitchen.
All comfort with beds made on arrival, towels and dish towels are also provided.
WIFI and flat screen TV with Netflix, kitchen with induction cooker, oven with pyrolysis, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, electric and floor heating.
It can accommodate up to 8 people (but it is then a little cramped on rainy days.)
A sheltered and closed garden of 550 m2 with garden furniture and deckchairs, large electric awning, street lamps and outside lights to enjoy the terraces also in the evening, fixed barbecue and old bikes at disposal.
The city of Cabourg is accessible by bike by a cycle track (5km) with its racecourse, its seaside and its shopping.
The beaches of the landing are also in the area.
But also spot of kite surfing famous which offers a colored and animated sky as soon as the wind rises.
And a sailing school (dinghy, catamaran, windsurf) accessible by bike or on foot (18min)

Only thing I would recommend is if staying during winter season bring in all your food or plan to drive a bit for food.

Return to Normandy with family having lived there for a while years ago. Used as base to visit WW2 landing memorials and Bayeaux as son now teaching history - house in very convenient place and well equipped. Lots of restaurants nearby even in off season. We had a great week

when I called to say we were coming, the person I called did not answer so I called the owner and he met us there. He did not speak english very well which surprised us if you are going to rent to travelers . He did not know how most things worked and house was very cold. home is not really as advertised and no explanations on how things work such as washer or TV. Was not what the 4 of us expected.

This place is so so pretty and sweet! It is on a very quiet street within walking distance to shops and (very) delicious restaurants as well as walking distance to multiple beaches, including the historic Sword beach which is one of the 5 beaches that were stormed during D-day. My family of 7 very comfortably stayed here and enjoyed every minute. We came in the off season for the history of the area and spent our days touring the museums and WWII sites which ranged from a few minute walk, to a scenic hour drive for the farthest site (Utah beach) and our nights were spent strolling through the little town and visiting different restaurants. The hosts were very gracious and responsive. I absolutely highly recommend this VRBO! Thank you for letting us stay and make unforgettable family memories here.

Beautiful house, traditional look but completely modernised. Plenty of space to relax. All facilities provided including barbecue, bikes, boules to play pétanque on the next door ground. The beach and the shops are 5mns by foot from the house. Lots of things to see and do around and about. We highly recommend and hope to go back.

Maison très agréable a quelques pas de la plage. Elle possède un joli extérieur dont nous avons pu profiter. Des vélos sont mis à disposition. Nous n’avons manqué de rien !

Maison avec 4 chambres, jardin bien orienté et vélos, matériel, etc, parfaite pour l'été ou beau temps. Personnes accueillantes. Le living est cependant pour max 6 personnes et le chauffage est branché sur une installation électrique trop faible. On est venu au printemps et il fallait choisir entre cuisiner et se chauffer

Location parfaitement équipée et emplacement idéal
Ce qui frappe de prime abord, c’est le fait que la maison soit coquette, nichée au milieu d’un quartier pavillonnaire disparate. Elle sait attirer l’œil. Jardin et terrasse agréables et bienvenus.
Pour un séjour d’un week-end ou d’une semaine, elle est idéale pour plusieurs raisons :
- Elle est parfaitement équipée, il ne manque rien du confort moderne
- Le cachet intérieur n’a rien à envier à l’extérieur, les pièces sont plaisantes à vivre avec du mobilier ancien ou moderne, mais toujours fonctionnel
- La literie est de TRÈS BONNE qualité
- On peut laisser la voiture de côté, tous les commerces sont à proximité ainsi que la mer
Le contact avec le propriétaire tout comme avec la personne responsable de l’accueil est excellent et réactif.
On cherchera en vain des points négatifs.
Très envie de revenir.

Charmante et agréable maison pour des vacances avec petits enfants.
Maison très agréable avec un intérieur douillet et bien agencée.
Elle est également très bien équipée(manquait juste un sèche cheveux) et elle dispose de nombreux vélos pour escapades dans la région avec pistes très bien aménagées surtout pour les enfants. Dans le chalet, vous trouver également tout le matériel de plage pour les enfants. L' endroit est idéal pour un séjour avec des enfants en bas âges, superbe plage et très belle plaine de jeux. Petit bémol pour la maison, l'espace salle de bain un peu étroite, ce qui ne nous à pas empêché de passer un très bon séjour malgré une météo capricieuse . Encore un grand merci pour l'accueil qui nous a été réservé et nous pensons y revenir en famille.

Schönes Haus zum Erholen
Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Umgebung und nahe zum schönen und langen Sandstrand - herrlich zum Spazierengehen. Auch gibt es in der Nähe gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, z.B. auch Seafood.
Das Haus ist für eine große Familie sehr empfehlenswert.
Werde das Haus wieder mieten, falls die Familie wieder in die Normandie fährt.

Nous avons séjourné 2 nuits dans cette maison typique de la Côte Normande, très bien équipée, spacieuse, joli jardin, et à proximité de la plage.
Très bon accueil de Cristel. Personne très agréable et sympathique.
J'y retournerai pour y passer 1 semaine complète.
Il y avait même une dizaine de vélos de toutes grandeurs, sur place, ce qui invite à la balade en bord de mer.

Schönes Haus in ruhiger Lage
Wir waren als Paar mit 4 Kindern hier und das Haus war genau richtig. Genug Platz, vollständige Ausstattung und ein schöner großer Garten.
Zum breiten Strand sind es 5 Minuten zu Fuß.
Der Ort ist klein und ruhig, bietet aber alles was man braucht um eine schöne Zeit zum entspannen zu haben.
Wir waren sicher nicht das letzte Mal hier!

Sehr hübsches Haus in Strandnähe
Das Haus ist stimmig eingerichtet, nur 5 Minuten vom tollen Strand entfernt und die Raumaufteilung und Ausstattung sind für eine Familie mit drei Kindern ideal.
Besonders gut haben uns die großzügigen Sitzmöglichkeiten auf der Terasse gefallen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Location sale à l'arrivée (sols, literies, plans de travail, meubles, canapés, décorations, etc.)
RDC (salon, cuisine) joliment décoré.
Literie récente sur 2 des 3 lits adultes mais manifestement ancienne sur le 3e lit.
SDB modernes mais peu fonctionnelles (petites, on se cogne dans les douches) et fenêtres sans rideau dans la SDB de l'étage (les voisins ont une vue directe).
VMC bruyante dans 2 des 3 chambres à l'étage.
Si le propriétaire s'engage à ce que le ménage soit fait correctement, nous y reviendrons avec plaisir.

Petite maison au centre d'un jardin sûrement très agréable en été (nous y étions en hiver), très bien équipée, toute proche de la plage et des commerces.
Nombreux vélos à disposition. Et même 2 trottinettes qui ont fait des heureux sur les pistes de pumptrack.
Cuisine très bien équipée et très fonctionnelle. Merci pour l'appareil à fondue...

Jolie petite maison bien située
Maison très agréable entourée de son jardin, bien équipée, bien située proche du petit centre commerçant de Merville et non loin de la plage. Un pied-à-terre confortable, paisible et commode.
Un endroit un peu tristounet lors de notre séjour d'une semaine très pluvieuse et fraîche (grands-parents avec nos 2 petits-enfants de 4 ans) fin octobre, mais où nous aurions plaisir à retourner en cas de temps ensoleillé. Merci !
