About this villa rental
Las Palmas – A spacious poolside retreat suitable for families or group vacations at Reef View Pavilions in Grenada.
Las Palmas is a rustic adobe style 3 bedroom/3 bathroom luxury residence at an intimate family-owned Grenada villa resort, Reef View Pavilions. Las Palmas is Located in Lance aux Epines, St. George's. It sleeps from 2 to 6 guests comfortably. There is access to two refreshing pools. The main lagoon style pool is steps away, directly in front of the home and in full view of all rooms. A small neighborhood beach is a short walk away. The home is a Caribbean-eclectic interpretation of traditional Spanish Hacienda architecture. The use of simple rustic materials throughout evokes an unpretentious homely feel. Just as importantly, the vacation home can withstand the rigors of vacation life – kids, sand, saltwater, wet feet and clothing, drink and food spills, and all. Enjoy a perfect Grenada vacation at Las Palmas.
Outdoors and Setting
Las Palmas is situated on the ground floor of the Palm Gardens building. Positioned directly in front of the glistening lagoon style pool with magnificent Fox Tail and African Oil palm trees rising up from inside the pool, the condo’s many windows keep guests connected and alive with the vibrant yet tranquil surrounds. The sights, sounds, and feelings from flowing water surround the apartment – with the rooftop pool, the adjacent swimming pool, and the nearby neighborhood beach. Generous outdoor living areas from which to stage your daily vacation activities are provided.
Shaded by a variety of palms, the Las Palmas courtyard is the spot to be. This main courtyard is a wonderful space to gather for a barbeque, drinks, and conversation. The courtyard offers a large free-form lagoon style pool. It’s definitely not your usual backyard pool scene. Its organic shapes, colours, and materials will take you to another frame of mind…Caribbean-style living. Fully grown palm trees rise from rounded islands within and on the smooth undulating edges of the pool. The multiple shallow areas are great for even the smallest kids to wade and play or for adults to sip a drink, float or walk around in the water. The deeper part is great for swimming and splashing. On the shore of the lagoon pool, concrete surface interspersed with various hues of tiny river stones create an outdoor carpet underneath your bare feet to keep you in touch and anchored to our lovely natural setting.
On the rooftop, our raised perch allows you to take in the spectacular views of shimmering bays and Grenada’s lush, tropical landscape. A beautiful, Spanish-style ramada covered with cool clay roof tiles is open sided yet provides shade and protection from the elements. Underneath the shade structure is a huge outdoor dining table in a Fleur de Lis shape, full size mahogany day bed, built in adobe style seating areas, and a barbeque area with sink and countertop space make this area a perfect spot to spend a vacation day, every day! In front of the ramada is a 50 foot long pool with built in seating – great for keeping cool under the sunny Caribbean sky with your favorite drink in hand. This rooftop pool is about 3 feet deep so the entire family can enjoy safely. An uncovered lounge area with sun chairs and built in daybeds is the spot to work on your tan. Two outdoor showers and toilet complete the rooftop lounge. From this setting, the turquoise waters of the bay with its coral reef outcroppings, sleepy yachts, and faint beach sounds frame an array of sensory stimulants such as cool orange-brown clay roof and floor tiles, colorful Talavera tile accents, vibrant paints, tinted glass inserts along the view-side rails, variegated palm-like pandanus, purple and red bougainvillea, and swaying palm fronds on the fringes. These delights will keep you in the mood for fun, relaxation and vacation-style living.

Our overall stay was good. Miss Sharon, the property owner, was very accommodating, responsive, and sweet. The Villa was way more spacious than I anticipated and very comfortable. With the length of my stay having a full kitchen and a washer and dryer, made it feel like I was at home rather than being in a cramped hotel room. I look forward to visiting this location again.

We had a great time at this property. The pools were beautiful with a wonderful pool and sitting area on the roof. The unit was very spacious accommodating our group of six. Sharon, the owner, was very caring and helpful with everything that we needed. There was a small beach within walking distance and we were able to get a taxi within 10 minutes for any excursions. I would love to return to this property in the future.

We came to drop off my daughter at St. George’s University and stayed 4 nights. Sharon arranged a taxi to pick us up at the airport and helped us to order food for delivery since it was late. We later discovered that you can get a 1 week university parent pass which gives you access to the university shuttle. There is a shuttle stop close to the property and the shuttles will also take you to the beach and shopping area. the pool is amazing and the
Property is clean. Sharon was helpful and accommodating. I will stay here again!

This property was great for a family. The owner was there to check you in and answered any questions we had. Love the fact that the home had bathrooms in each bedroom and a full kitchen. This would be great for friends as well as the rooms are spread out and you get your privacy.
We were able to get around the island with both a rental and cab service. The cab rides do add up, but in my opinion worth it if you are not comfortable driving.
Driving was great if going to the store and close by beaches. Strongly recommend tours and see if they have pick up at your location. Best way to see and do everything in my opinion.

The place is very clean and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Sharon, our host, was so nice and friendly. If you need transportation, they can arrange transportation. If you have had a long day on the beach, you can order dinner in and have it delivered. The pools are spectacular! We will definitely come back!

Amazing property and top notch hosts!
We came to Granada to explore the island as our daughter is starting veterinary school at Saint George University next August. To say the least we were a little nervous, we have never been in the island, we knew very little about it and didn’t even know if the property was as good as it showed on VRBO. Long story short the property was amazing. I think that what made it more amazing was the service that Sharon and Anthon provided, Sharon was very insightful and made us feel at home from the moment that we set step at the property. She made recommendations including places to go, areas to explore to find a place for our daughter, food to eat and made herself available if we needed her at any time. She is one of the best hosts that I’ve ever had.
Before we got there she connected us with Rodger who became our driver while we were in the island, I don’t know why but I did not feel comfortable driving on the opposite side of the road! Rodger was there for us all the time, and when he was not available he always sent someone that we could trust. He took us everywhere, including to a couple of trips to the chocolate factory in Victoria as well as to the seven sisters waterfalls, which was amazing.
The property was a lot bigger than what we thought, very comfortable for the five of us. The swimming pool were clean and everything was working in perfect order. To add to the experience we were able to make new friends, that I am sure we will keep in touch forever.
We are looking forward to visit again, I know I will be coming back a couple of times this year and possibly due in the next few years while my daughter attends St. George University.
Thank you again Sharon Anthon for your hospitality and all the help that you provided during our stay!

Reef View
Needs some serious work. Light bulbs were missing; asked twice but none were replaced. House was cleaned weekly, but poorly done. e.g. stove wasn't cleaned, cobwebs weren't removed, sofa cushions were stained, etc.

Nice rental
The rental was well equipped for a long/short term stay. The rooms were a nice size.

Relaxation that we really needed!
We ended up here after a stressful 24 hours in which we discovered that American Airlines cancelled all flights to Martinique (they'd actually done it months ago, but failed to tell us!) so instead of chilling our heels at our villa in Martinique, we had to hustle to find a place in Grenada which is where AA offered to fly us.
We feel so lucky to have found this lovely retreat. The apartment was huge and the AC was great. The pools--all three of them--were sparkling clean and the plants and palms all around were lovely. The place is funky and artsy--not a polished resort--if you're looking for that, go to the Radisson up the street. We loved the vibe here. Sharon, our host, was quick to respond to any requests we had--she and her family live on-site so she's there to get you whatever you need.
The Lance aux Epines area is beautiful, but a bit far from most of the places you'll want to see. The taxi service Sharon, our host, contracts with is great (we loved Rondell, who picked us up at the airport) but it was going to get expensive, so we decided to rent a car. That allowed us to get out and explore the island on our own, and we had a great time.
For a vacation week that started as a disaster, we feel very fortunate to have arrived at this place and we enjoyed it immensely.

Las Palmas
The villa was great. Plenty of space and room for everything we needed. We spent most days in one of the two pools available, and walking to the beach. The local beach is more of a swimming area than beach but certainly fine for what we needed. We opted to not rent a car, we not only saved money using taxis, but also saved the stress of trying to drive on VERY steep and confusing roads. Sharon at the villa provided us with contact info for taxi drivers and they were available and helpful throughout our week there. Note that not much is walkable, as the roads are steep, dark, and cars move fast. Some amazing restaurants close by. If you are looking for a quiet out of the way place with access to a few restaurants, this is your villa!

Just what we needed!
I cannot say how much I loved staying at Las Palmas. My husband and I brought our 4 year old and 6 month old, plus my mother. The apartment was huge- maybe more space than our first house- and there was a little lagoon pool just outside the door. It was a lovely, quiet building, and the ground pool had tons of afternoon shade which was nice after a morning at the beach. The location was close to the airport and, more importantly, the West Indies Brewing Company, so it was easy to get around. Sharon and her family were wonderful and made some great recommendations when we needed them. There's a small beach which is just a short walk away (even with a four year old) and Grand Anse (easily my favorite beach) wasn't too far by car. We feel rested and refreshed!
